Full Electric Hospital Bed – Delta® Ultra-Light 1000 Home Care Electric Bed
If you are searching for a dependable, caregiver-friendly, and easy-to-manage full electric hospital bed for long-term care, recovery, elderly support, or daily homecare use, the Delta® Ultra-Light 1000 Home Care Electric Bed is designed to deliver comfort, convenience, safer positioning, and reliable full-electric functionality in a practical homecare setup.
This advanced home care electric bed allows users and caregivers to electronically adjust the head section, foot section, and overall bed height using an intuitive hand pendant. Unlike standard household beds, this electric hospital bed for home helps improve positioning support, transfer safety, caregiver access, circulation comfort, and long-term patient care management.
Designed with a lightweight universal frame system, wood grain break-resistant panels, a quiet self-contained motor, optional safety rails, and emergency battery lowering capability, the Delta® Ultra-Light 1000 is an excellent option for families, caregivers, home health agencies, rehabilitation environments, and long-term homecare users who need dependable equipment that is easier to transport, maintain, and operate every day.
Why a Full Electric Hospital Bed Makes Homecare Easier
A proper full electric hospital bed does much more than simply raise or lower the patient. It helps improve comfort, transfers, positioning support, caregiver access, and daily care routines while reducing physical strain on caregivers and family members.
The Delta® Ultra-Light 1000 allows electronic adjustment of:
- ✔️ Head positioning for sitting and comfort
- ✔️ Foot and knee elevation support
- ✔️ Overall bed height for transfers
- ✔️ Comfortable resting and recovery positions
- ✔️ Caregiver working height for daily care
- ✔️ Safer wheelchair and walker transfers
For many families, upgrading from a regular bed to a home care electric bed significantly improves daily caregiving, patient comfort, and long-term home safety.
Who Is This Electric Hospital Bed for Home Best For?
This electric hospital bed for home is an excellent option for:
- ✔️ Seniors aging safely at home
- ✔️ Patients recovering after surgery
- ✔️ Long-term homecare patients
- ✔️ Users needing easier bed transfers
- ✔️ Individuals with limited mobility
- ✔️ Caregivers needing adjustable bed height
- ✔️ Rehabilitation and recovery care
- ✔️ Hospice and palliative care support
- ✔️ Home health providers and care facilities
- ✔️ Families needing reliable full-electric positioning
This bed is especially useful when the patient requires regular repositioning, easier transfers, elevated sitting support, or safer caregiver-assisted daily routines.
Full-Electric Adjustment for Comfort & Safer Transfers
The Delta® Ultra-Light 1000 features full-electric functionality, allowing users and caregivers to control bed positioning using an ergonomic hand pendant.
This helps support:
- ✔️ Easier transfers from wheelchairs or walkers
- ✔️ Reduced caregiver lifting strain
- ✔️ Better comfort during long periods in bed
- ✔️ Easier dressing and hygiene care
- ✔️ Improved positioning for meals or breathing comfort
- ✔️ Safer height adjustment during caregiving
Unlike semi-electric beds that still require manual cranking for bed height adjustment, this full electric hospital bed allows all major positioning adjustments electronically.
Universal Bed Design for Easier Compatibility
One of the biggest advantages of the Delta® Ultra-Light 1000 is its universal frame system.
The bed frame is designed to work with:
- ✔️ Drive bed ends
- ✔️ Older bed end systems
- ✔️ Many other manufacturer bed ends
- ✔️ Replacement headboards and footboards
This makes the bed especially valuable for:
- ✔️ Equipment providers
- ✔️ Long-term care environments
- ✔️ Homecare inventory management
- ✔️ Easier replacement and servicing
The transition box also allows the rotation of the high-low shaft to be changed for additional setup flexibility.
Ultra-Light Design for Easier Transport & Setup
The Delta® Ultra-Light 1000 was designed to reduce transport difficulty and simplify setup.
The self-contained motor system:
- ✔️ Reduces overall weight
- ✔️ Simplifies installation
- ✔️ Helps reduce operational noise
- ✔️ Improves homecare practicality
This makes the bed easier to handle compared to many older or heavier hospital bed systems.
Quiet Self-Contained Motor System
The unique self-contained motor system helps provide quieter operation during positioning adjustments.
This is especially important for:
- ✔️ Overnight adjustments
- ✔️ Shared bedrooms
- ✔️ Hospice care environments
- ✔️ Long-term comfort and sleep support
The motor also includes emergency battery lowering capability.
In the event of a power outage, a 9-volt battery located in the motor can lower the head and foot sections up to nine times, helping provide added peace of mind during emergencies.
Optional Half Rails & Full Rails
This home care electric bed is compatible with optional half rails and full rails depending on the user’s safety and transfer needs.
Rail options can help provide:
- ✔️ Additional transfer support
- ✔️ Bed edge awareness
- ✔️ Repositioning assistance
- ✔️ Increased caregiver confidence
Rail selection should always be based on:
- ✔️ Patient mobility level
- ✔️ Transfer ability
- ✔️ Fall-risk considerations
- ✔️ Caregiver recommendations
Designed to Better Match Home Décor
Unlike institutional-looking medical beds, the Delta® Ultra-Light 1000 features:
- ✔️ Wood grain bed panels
- ✔️ Taller headboard appearance
- ✔️ More residential-style presentation
- ✔️ Break and scratch-resistant panels
This helps the bed feel more appropriate for home bedroom environments while still providing full medical functionality.
Best Use Scenarios
This electric hospital bed for home is especially useful for:
- ✔️ Long-term homecare setups
- ✔️ Recovery after hospitalization
- ✔️ Elderly bedroom safety support
- ✔️ Rehabilitation after injury or surgery
- ✔️ Caregiver-assisted daily care routines
- ✔️ Mobility-related positioning support
- ✔️ Hospice and palliative care
- ✔️ Home health patient management

Shipping & Returns
Shipping & Return Policy
At MedCare Mobility, we understand that purchasing medical and mobility equipment is an important decision. Our goal is to make the ordering, delivery, and return process as clear and straightforward as possible.
Because many of the products we offer are large, specialized, or shipped directly from manufacturer and distributor warehouses, shipping and return requirements may vary somewhat by product and brand. The policy below explains what you can generally expect when ordering from MedCare Mobility.
Shipping & Order Processing
We ship medical and mobility equipment to customers throughout the United States. Orders are processed as quickly as possible, and tracking information is provided once available.
Processing Time
Most in-stock orders are processed within approximately 1–3 business days. Processing may include order verification, warehouse preparation, packaging, and coordination with the manufacturer or distributor.
Some specialty equipment, made-to-order products, oversized items, or products shipping directly from a manufacturer may require additional processing time. Any estimated processing or lead time shown on an individual product page should be considered part of the expected fulfillment timeframe for that item.
Transit & Delivery Time
Once shipped, many standard orders arrive within approximately 3–7 business days. Larger medical equipment, freight shipments, specialty products, and certain manufacturer-direct orders may require additional transit time.
Tracking information will generally be emailed once the shipment has been processed by the carrier. If you have questions regarding the status of your order, please contact us at info@medcaremobility.com.
Alaska, Hawaii & Special Shipping Areas
Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and certain remote or limited-access areas may be subject to additional shipping charges. If an additional charge is required after your order is reviewed, we will contact you before proceeding whenever additional payment is necessary.
Freight & Oversized Equipment
Hospital beds, patient lifts, large recliners, ramps, and other oversized medical equipment may ship by freight rather than standard parcel service. Unless a specific delivery service is stated on the product page or order, freight delivery does not automatically include inside delivery, assembly, installation, or removal of packaging.
30-Day Return Policy
We want you to feel comfortable ordering from MedCare Mobility. Most eligible products may be returned when a return is requested within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions and exclusions outlined below.
Eligible products generally include:
- Electric and power wheelchairs
- Manual and lightweight wheelchairs
- Mobility scooters
- Walkers and rollators
- Patient lifts
- Wheelchair ramps
- Hospital and homecare beds
- Eligible medical mattresses
- Geriatric and medical recliner chairs
- Overbed tables
- Bathroom benches and shower chairs
- Other eligible medical and mobility equipment
Return eligibility can vary by manufacturer and product type. Products specifically identified as non-returnable, custom, made-to-order, or otherwise subject to special return terms are governed by those terms.
Return Authorization
Please contact us before shipping any product back. Returns must first be approved and issued a Return Authorization (RA) and the appropriate return shipping address.
You may request a return by emailing info@medcaremobility.com or contacting our customer service team through the live chat on our website.
Please do not return merchandise to an address shown on the original shipping label unless specifically instructed to do so. Many products ship directly from manufacturer or distributor warehouses, and the correct return location may be different from the original shipping location.
Condition of Returned Merchandise
To qualify for a return and refund, the product must be returned:
- In brand-new and unused condition
- In its complete original manufacturer packaging
- With all manuals, components, hardware, accessories, and included materials
- Without damage, modification, assembly wear, stains, odors, or other signs of use
- In resalable condition upon inspection by the receiving warehouse or manufacturer
We strongly recommend keeping the original box, pallet, protective materials, and packaging until you are certain that you intend to keep the equipment. Large medical equipment can be difficult or impossible to return safely without its original packaging.
Restocking Fees
Approved returns are subject to a mandatory restocking fee, generally ranging from 15% to 20% of the applicable product price. The exact restocking percentage varies depending on the manufacturer, brand, and type of equipment being returned.
These restocking charges are assessed to us by the manufacturer or distributing warehouse when merchandise is returned. MedCare Mobility does not add the fee simply as a return penalty; when the manufacturer requires the charge, we must pass the applicable amount through as part of processing the return.
If you would like to know the applicable restocking percentage for a particular product before ordering, please contact us and we will be happy to help whenever that information is available from the manufacturer.
Return Shipping & Shipping Charges
The customer is responsible for shipping charges associated with the order when making a standard return.
Customers are responsible for arranging for the approved merchandise to be returned to the return address provided with the Return Authorization. In certain cases, we may be able to provide a prepaid return label or coordinate return transportation for your convenience. When provided, the applicable shipping cost may be deducted from the final refund.
Because some medical equipment is oversized or requires freight transportation, prepaid labels or carrier call tags may not be available for every product. Our customer service team will provide the available return instructions when your return is authorized.
Non-Returnable Products
For health, hygiene, safety, customization, and manufacturer-policy reasons, certain products are not eligible for standard returns.
We currently do not accept returns on:
- Parts & accessories
- Wheelchair cushions and support accessories
- Patient lift slings
- Custom or made-to-order products
- Products specifically identified as non-returnable on the product page
If a non-returnable product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us promptly. Non-returnable status does not prevent us from assisting with a legitimate shipping damage, defect, warranty, or fulfillment issue in accordance with the applicable manufacturer and carrier procedures.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
We take shipping damage seriously and will work with you to help resolve legitimate delivery issues.
If your product arrives damaged, please notify MedCare Mobility within 48 hours of delivery. Whenever possible, retain the shipping carton, pallet, packaging materials, and the product exactly as received and take clear photographs of the packaging and any visible damage.
Reporting damage promptly is important because carriers and manufacturers have limited timeframes for filing freight and shipping claims.
If you receive an incorrect product or believe there is a manufacturer defect, please contact us before returning or disposing of any merchandise or packaging so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.
Refused Deliveries
Please contact us before refusing a delivery unless the shipment has obvious significant freight damage and the carrier is documenting the damage at delivery.
A shipment that is refused for reasons unrelated to verified shipping damage may be treated as a standard return. Applicable restocking and shipping charges may therefore be deducted from the refund.
Return Shipping Deadline
Once a return has been approved and return instructions or a return label have been issued, the merchandise must be shipped within 72 hours unless MedCare Mobility provides different instructions in writing.
This is particularly important when a return is approaching the end of the applicable return period. Returns shipped outside the authorized timeframe may be refused by the manufacturer or warehouse and may no longer qualify for a refund.
Refund Processing
Refunds are processed after the returned merchandise has been received and inspected by the applicable warehouse or manufacturer and the return has been confirmed to meet the return requirements.
The applicable restocking fee, shipping charges associated with the order, and any other authorized return-related charges will be deducted from the amount eligible for refund.
If returned merchandise is used, damaged, incomplete, missing original packaging or components, or otherwise returned in a condition that prevents the manufacturer or warehouse from accepting it as new and resalable merchandise, the return may be refused or the refund may be reduced in accordance with the manufacturer’s assessment.
Custom & Made-to-Order Products
Products identified as custom, configured, made-to-order, special-order, or manufactured specifically for the customer cannot generally be canceled once production or manufacturer processing has begun and are not eligible for standard returns.
For custom products, cancellation may only be possible during the initial processing period and before production or customization begins. Because production schedules vary by manufacturer, we encourage customers to contact us immediately if a change is required.
If a custom product arrives damaged or has a legitimate manufacturing defect, we will work with the manufacturer to pursue the appropriate resolution, replacement components, repair, or other available remedy under the applicable manufacturer policy or warranty.
Questions Before Ordering?
Medical equipment can vary considerably in size, configuration, compatibility, and intended use. If you are unsure whether a product will work for your needs, we strongly encourage you to contact us before placing your order.
Our team is happy to help review product specifications, dimensions, options, compatibility, and available manufacturer information so you can make a more informed purchasing decision and reduce the possibility of needing a return.
For shipping, return, or product questions, contact us at info@medcaremobility.com or speak with us through the live chat on our website.
