Choosing Between Basic, Defend, Console, and Alleviate?

Choose PrevaMatt Console when the patient needs a stronger memory foam hospital bed mattress with deeper immersion and comfort. Choose PrevaMatt Alleviate when the patient needs the most advanced pressure redistribution, four-way stretch cover, and optional genuine TEMPUR® material.
PrevaMatt Basic: Simple Therapeutic Foam Prevention
The PrevaMatt Basic is the entry-level option in the PrevaMatt lineup. It is best for patients who need a simple, dependable, non-powered therapeutic foam mattress for basic comfort, general prevention, and everyday hospital bed use.
The Basic model includes:
- ✔️ Single-ply therapeutic foam construction
- ✔️ High-density foam support surface
- ✔️ 70-denier nylon cover
- ✔️ Basic pressure prevention support
- ✔️ 300 lb. weight capacity
- ✔️ 2-year mattress warranty
- ✔️ 1-year cover warranty
This is the best choice for:
- ✔️ Lower-risk patients
- ✔️ Basic homecare needs
- ✔️ Short-term recovery
- ✔️ General elderly comfort

PrevaMatt Defend: Better Pressure Redistribution & Heel Protection
The PrevaMatt Defend is a step up from Basic and is designed for patients who need more targeted pressure redistribution, better heel protection, and more supportive foam layering.

- ✔️ Double-layer foam construction
- ✔️ Multi-zone pressure redistribution cuts
- ✔️ Visco foam in heel section
- ✔️ Thatched heel zone support
- ✔️ Integrated heel slope design
- ✔️ Two-way stretch cover
- ✔️ Firm perimeter support
- ✔️ 500 lb. weight capacity

- ✔️ Users spending longer hours in bed
- ✔️ Patients needing prevention to Stage 1 support
- ✔️ Long-term care residents
- ✔️ Rehab and recovery patients
PrevaMatt Console: Memory Foam Hospital Bed Mattress Comfort

The Console model includes:
- ✔️ Double-layered foam construction
- ✔️ Viscoelastic top comfort layer
- ✔️ Diamond hex surface cuts
- ✔️ Diamond pressure redistribution zones
- ✔️ Integrated heel slope
- ✔️ Two-way stretch cover
- ✔️ Firm perimeter support
- ✔️ 500 lb. weight capacity
- ✔️ 5-year mattress warranty
- ✔️ 1-year cover warranty
This is a strong middle-to-premium choice for:
- ✔️ Patients needing more comfort than Defend

- ✔️ Long-term bed rest support
- ✔️ Memory foam comfort preference
- ✔️ Pressure relief mattress for elderly care
- ✔️ Facilities wanting comfort and durability
PrevaMatt Alleviate: Premium Pressure Redistribution Support

What is the difference between PrevaMatt Basic, Defend, Console, and Alleviate?
Basic is the entry-level therapeutic foam mattress. Defend adds pressure redistribution zones, heel slope, and firm perimeter support. Alleviate is the premium model with four-way stretch cover, advanced pressure redistribution, and optional genuine TEMPUR® material.
Which PrevaMatt model is best for pressure redistribution?

Is PrevaMatt a memory foam hospital bed mattress?
Some PrevaMatt models include viscoelastic memory foam technology. Console and Alleviate include visco foam top layers, while Defend includes visco foam in the heel section. Basic is not a memory foam model.
What is the TEMPUR® option on PrevaMatt Alleviate?
The TEMPUR® option uses genuine Tempur-Pedic® material on select Alleviate Flat models. It is designed for premium immersion, stronger pressure redistribution, and support for treatment of up to Stage 3 uncomplicated pressure injuries.
Which PrevaMatt models are available with TEMPUR®?
TEMPUR® is only available on select PrevaMatt Alleviate Flat models. It is not available on Basic, Defend, Console, or Raised Perimeter versions.
What is a Raised Perimeter mattress?
A Raised Perimeter mattress has elevated side edges designed to help add security, support fall prevention, and help reduce entrapment risk when the mattress surface is low relative to the side rail.
Should I choose Flat or Raised Perimeter?
Choose Flat if the patient needs easier movement, easier transfers, or uses side rails. Choose Raised Perimeter if the patient has higher fall-risk concerns, needs more edge awareness, or is not using side rails.

Yes. Defend, Console, and Alleviate include heel slope support designed to redistribute pressure along the lower legs and reduce pressure in the delicate heel section.
What does firm perimeter mean?
Firm perimeter means the mattress has a high-density foam outer rim that helps provide edge-of-bed stability during sitting, transfers, ingress, and egress.
