Description
VOCIC YR11 Toilet Chair Commode – 400 lb Adjustable Bedside & Bathroom Commode
The VOCIC YR11 Toilet Chair Commode is designed to make toileting safer, more accessible, and more practical for adults who have difficulty getting to or using a standard toilet. Instead of serving only one purpose, the YR11 can function as a bedside potty chair with its removable 6-liter commode bucket or as an over-toilet bathroom commode, giving families and caregivers flexibility as mobility and care needs change.
What makes the YR11 especially useful is how much of the chair can be adjusted around the user and the environment. The seat height adjusts from 17.7″ to 22.6″, while the overall width can be configured to approximately 20.9″, 22.8″, or 24.8″. Flip-up armrests help open the side of the chair during appropriate transfers, and the removable backrest allows the chair to be configured for different bathroom situations.
For someone searching for an adult potty chair for the bedroom, a toilet commode chair for an older adult, or an adjustable commode that can also be positioned over an existing toilet, the YR11 combines those needs in one reinforced steel design. A 400 lb weight capacity, padded 16.5″ × 16.5″ seat, supportive backrest, anti-slip feet, storage, and integrated night-light assistance make it particularly relevant for everyday home care.
Why Choose the VOCIC YR11 Toilet Chair Commode?
For someone with limited mobility, nighttime toileting or repeatedly walking to the bathroom can become one of the most difficult parts of everyday care. The right commode should do more than simply provide a bucket beneath a seat—it should fit the user properly, provide stable support, make transfers more manageable, and adapt to where toileting actually takes place.
The VOCIC YR11 was designed around those practical needs. Its adjustable height and width, 400 lb capacity, flip-up armrests, removable backrest, padded seating, anti-slip base, removable commode bucket, night-light assistance, and storage create a more versatile solution than a basic fixed bedside commode.
That makes the YR11 especially relevant for older adults, people with limited walking endurance, people recovering from an injury or procedure, and caregivers looking for a commode that can be adapted to different users and care environments.
2-in-1 Bedside Commode and Over-Toilet Chair
One of the most important advantages of the YR11 is that it can be used in two different toileting configurations.
With the included commode bucket installed, the YR11 functions as a standalone bedside potty chair. This can reduce the distance a person needs to walk when reaching the bathroom is difficult, particularly at night or when mobility is temporarily limited.
The chair can also be configured for use over an existing toilet, providing a supportive commode frame and elevated seating position around the bathroom toilet. The removable backrest provides additional flexibility when configuring the chair for different bathroom environments.
For families who may need bedside toileting now but want the option of returning to bathroom toilet use later, this 2-in-1 design allows the same chair to support both situations when properly fitted.
Adjustable Seat Height from 17.7 to 22.6 Inches
A commode that sits too low can make sitting down and standing back up considerably more difficult. A chair that sits too high may prevent proper foot positioning. The YR11 addresses this with an adjustable seat height from approximately 17.7″ to 22.6″.
Height can be adjusted in approximately 1-inch increments, allowing the chair to be configured more closely around the user’s height, transfer ability, and the environment where it will be used.
This adjustability is particularly useful when the YR11 is being selected as an adult potty chair for a specific user rather than relying on a one-height-fits-all commode.
Three Adjustable Width Positions
The YR11 goes beyond height adjustment by also offering three width settings: approximately 20.9″, 22.8″, and 24.8″.
This gives caregivers greater flexibility when setting up the commode for different body sizes and available spaces. It can also be important when positioning the chair around an existing toilet, where surrounding fixtures and bathroom dimensions may affect compatibility.
Before using the YR11 as an over-toilet bathroom commode, measure the toilet and surrounding space to confirm that the selected width and height configuration can be positioned correctly.
400 lb Capacity with Reinforced Steel Construction
The VOCIC YR11 is built around a reinforced steel frame and supports users up to 400 lbs (180 kg).
The combination of steel construction, structural support, and an anti-slip base is designed to provide a stable platform for everyday commode use.
For shoppers comparing a lightweight basic commode with a more substantial toilet chair commode, the YR11’s 400 lb capacity is especially important. It provides significantly more capacity than many mobility products designed around lower user-weight limits while the chair itself weighs approximately 19.8 lbs.
Weight capacity does not by itself determine proper fit. Seat dimensions, chair width, user positioning, balance, and transfer requirements should also be considered.
Flip-Up Armrests for Easier Transfers
The YR11 features flip-up armrests that can be moved out of the way when additional side access is needed.
This is especially useful when positioning the commode beside a bed or another appropriate transfer surface. Instead of having a fixed armrest permanently blocking the side of the chair, the armrest can be raised to provide more open access when appropriate.
When lowered, the armrests provide a supportive surface for the seated user and may assist an appropriate user during controlled sitting and standing.
Transfer requirements vary considerably. Users who require physical assistance, transfer boards, mechanical lifts, or specialized transfer techniques should continue using the transfer method appropriate for their individual needs.
Padded 16.5-Inch Seat for Everyday Comfort
The YR11 uses a padded seat measuring approximately 16.5″ × 16.5″, with approximately 1.4 inches of cushion thickness.
This padded surface gives the chair a more finished seating area than the hard plastic seating commonly associated with basic bedside commodes.
The seat is paired with a padded backrest measuring approximately 16.5″ × 7.5″ and about 1 inch thick, providing additional support behind the seated user.
The backrest sits approximately 16.1 inches above the seat.
Removable Backrest for Flexible Bathroom Setup
The backrest is removable, allowing the YR11 to be adapted for different toileting configurations.
When used as a standalone bedside commode, the backrest provides support behind the seated user. When the chair needs to be configured around an existing bathroom toilet, removing the backrest can provide additional setup flexibility depending on the toilet and surrounding environment.
This is another reason the YR11 can serve as more than a basic bedside potty chair: it is designed to adapt between bedside and bathroom use rather than being permanently configured for only one location.
6-Liter Removable Commode Bucket
For standalone bedside use, the YR11 includes a commode bucket measuring approximately 13″ × 11.4″ × 5.9″ with a listed capacity of 6 liters.
The bucket sits beneath the commode opening and can be removed as needed for emptying and cleaning.
This allows the YR11 to function as a true standalone toilet commode chair when access to a standard bathroom toilet is difficult or impractical.
Integrated Night-Light Assistance
Nighttime bathroom trips can be particularly challenging for someone with limited mobility. The YR11 includes integrated night-light assistance designed to provide additional visibility during low-light use.
This is a small feature with a very practical purpose. When the chair is being used as a bedside commode, additional nighttime visibility can make the commode easier to locate without relying entirely on bright room lighting.
The night light is an assistance feature and does not replace adequate room lighting or caregiver supervision when either is needed for safe mobility and transfers.
Built-In Storage for Everyday Care Items
The YR11 also incorporates a convenient storage area measuring approximately 11.4″ × 11″ × 0.8″.
Having dedicated storage directly on the commode gives caregivers a convenient location for appropriate lightweight personal or care items that may be needed nearby.
For a product used daily in a bedroom or bathroom, practical details such as accessible storage can make the overall care setup more organized.
Who Is the VOCIC YR11 Best For?
The YR11 is particularly relevant for an adult who can use a commode chair but finds reaching or using a conventional toilet difficult because of reduced mobility, limited endurance, weakness, recovery needs, or nighttime toileting concerns.
It may also be useful for caregivers looking for one product that can transition between a bedside potty chair and an over-toilet bathroom commode rather than maintaining separate products for each situation.
Its adjustable height and width also make it worth considering when a fixed-height commode does not provide an appropriate setup for the user or existing bathroom.
The YR11 is not a wheelchair or patient transport chair and should not be used to transport a seated person. Users who cannot safely transfer to or remain appropriately positioned on a commode may require additional transfer equipment, caregiver assistance, or a different toileting solution.
Can the YR11 Be Used Beside the Bed?
Yes. With the commode bucket installed, the YR11 can function as a standalone bedside potty chair.
This can be particularly useful when walking from the bed to the bathroom is difficult, especially during nighttime hours or while recovering from a temporary mobility limitation.
Position the commode on a stable, level surface with sufficient surrounding space for the user’s normal transfer method. The anti-slip feet should make full contact with the floor before use.
Can the YR11 Be Used Over a Regular Toilet?
Yes. The YR11’s 2-in-1 design allows it to be configured as an over-toilet commode chair in compatible bathrooms.
This configuration can provide a higher seating position and supportive armrests around an existing toilet, which may be useful for an appropriate user who finds a standard toilet difficult to sit down on or rise from.
Toilet dimensions vary considerably. Before purchasing specifically for over-toilet use, compare the YR11’s adjustable seat height of 17.7″–22.6″ and width settings of 20.9″, 22.8″, and 24.8″ with the toilet, toilet seat, tank, surrounding walls, cabinets, and available floor space.
Bedside Commode vs. Over-Toilet Commode
The difference comes down to where toileting takes place.
A bedside commode functions independently using its own removable bucket, allowing it to be positioned near the bed or another appropriate location without being placed over a toilet.
An over-toilet commode is positioned around a compatible existing toilet and uses the bathroom toilet itself rather than the standalone bucket.
Because the VOCIC YR11 supports both configurations, the same chair can adapt when the user’s needs change. Someone may initially need the commode directly beside the bed and later be able to reach the bathroom while still benefiting from the elevated seating and arm support of the YR11.
What Should You Measure Before Buying the YR11?
For proper fit, start with the user. The padded seat measures approximately 16.5″ × 16.5″, and the chair supports a maximum user weight of 400 lbs.
Next, consider seat height. The YR11 adjusts from approximately 17.7″ to 22.6″ in 1-inch increments. The correct setting should allow appropriate positioning while also working with the user’s transfer requirements.
If the chair will be used in a bathroom or over an existing toilet, measure the available space carefully. The chair offers width settings of approximately 20.9″, 22.8″, and 24.8″, but toilet dimensions and bathroom layouts vary.
For bedside use, make sure there is sufficient space around the commode for safe access and the user’s normal transfer method.

Shipping & Returns
Shipping & Return Policy
At MedCare Mobility, we understand that purchasing medical and mobility equipment is an important decision. Our goal is to make the ordering, delivery, and return process as clear and straightforward as possible.
Because many of the products we offer are large, specialized, or shipped directly from manufacturer and distributor warehouses, shipping and return requirements may vary somewhat by product and brand. The policy below explains what you can generally expect when ordering from MedCare Mobility.
Shipping & Order Processing
We ship medical and mobility equipment to customers throughout the United States. Orders are processed as quickly as possible, and tracking information is provided once available.
Processing Time
Most in-stock orders are processed within approximately 1–3 business days. Processing may include order verification, warehouse preparation, packaging, and coordination with the manufacturer or distributor.
Some specialty equipment, made-to-order products, oversized items, or products shipping directly from a manufacturer may require additional processing time. Any estimated processing or lead time shown on an individual product page should be considered part of the expected fulfillment timeframe for that item.
Transit & Delivery Time
Once shipped, many standard orders arrive within approximately 3–7 business days. Larger medical equipment, freight shipments, specialty products, and certain manufacturer-direct orders may require additional transit time.
Tracking information will generally be emailed once the shipment has been processed by the carrier. If you have questions regarding the status of your order, please contact us at info@medcaremobility.com.
Alaska, Hawaii & Special Shipping Areas
Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and certain remote or limited-access areas may be subject to additional shipping charges. If an additional charge is required after your order is reviewed, we will contact you before proceeding whenever additional payment is necessary.
Freight & Oversized Equipment
Hospital beds, patient lifts, large recliners, ramps, and other oversized medical equipment may ship by freight rather than standard parcel service. Unless a specific delivery service is stated on the product page or order, freight delivery does not automatically include inside delivery, assembly, installation, or removal of packaging.
30-Day Return Policy
We want you to feel comfortable ordering from MedCare Mobility. Most eligible products may be returned when a return is requested within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions and exclusions outlined below.
Eligible products generally include:
- Electric and power wheelchairs
- Manual and lightweight wheelchairs
- Mobility scooters
- Walkers and rollators
- Patient lifts
- Wheelchair ramps
- Hospital and homecare beds
- Eligible medical mattresses
- Geriatric and medical recliner chairs
- Overbed tables
- Bathroom benches and shower chairs
- Other eligible medical and mobility equipment
Return eligibility can vary by manufacturer and product type. Products specifically identified as non-returnable, custom, made-to-order, or otherwise subject to special return terms are governed by those terms.
Return Authorization
Please contact us before shipping any product back. Returns must first be approved and issued a Return Authorization (RA) and the appropriate return shipping address.
You may request a return by emailing info@medcaremobility.com or contacting our customer service team through the live chat on our website.
Please do not return merchandise to an address shown on the original shipping label unless specifically instructed to do so. Many products ship directly from manufacturer or distributor warehouses, and the correct return location may be different from the original shipping location.
Condition of Returned Merchandise
To qualify for a return and refund, the product must be returned:
- In brand-new and unused condition
- In its complete original manufacturer packaging
- With all manuals, components, hardware, accessories, and included materials
- Without damage, modification, assembly wear, stains, odors, or other signs of use
- In resalable condition upon inspection by the receiving warehouse or manufacturer
We strongly recommend keeping the original box, pallet, protective materials, and packaging until you are certain that you intend to keep the equipment. Large medical equipment can be difficult or impossible to return safely without its original packaging.
Restocking Fees
Approved returns are subject to a mandatory restocking fee, generally ranging from 15% to 20% of the applicable product price. The exact restocking percentage varies depending on the manufacturer, brand, and type of equipment being returned.
These restocking charges are assessed to us by the manufacturer or distributing warehouse when merchandise is returned. MedCare Mobility does not add the fee simply as a return penalty; when the manufacturer requires the charge, we must pass the applicable amount through as part of processing the return.
If you would like to know the applicable restocking percentage for a particular product before ordering, please contact us and we will be happy to help whenever that information is available from the manufacturer.
Return Shipping & Shipping Charges
The customer is responsible for shipping charges associated with the order when making a standard return.
Customers are responsible for arranging for the approved merchandise to be returned to the return address provided with the Return Authorization. In certain cases, we may be able to provide a prepaid return label or coordinate return transportation for your convenience. When provided, the applicable shipping cost may be deducted from the final refund.
Because some medical equipment is oversized or requires freight transportation, prepaid labels or carrier call tags may not be available for every product. Our customer service team will provide the available return instructions when your return is authorized.
Non-Returnable Products
For health, hygiene, safety, customization, and manufacturer-policy reasons, certain products are not eligible for standard returns.
We currently do not accept returns on:
- Parts & accessories
- Wheelchair cushions and support accessories
- Patient lift slings
- Custom or made-to-order products
- Products specifically identified as non-returnable on the product page
If a non-returnable product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us promptly. Non-returnable status does not prevent us from assisting with a legitimate shipping damage, defect, warranty, or fulfillment issue in accordance with the applicable manufacturer and carrier procedures.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
We take shipping damage seriously and will work with you to help resolve legitimate delivery issues.
If your product arrives damaged, please notify MedCare Mobility within 48 hours of delivery. Whenever possible, retain the shipping carton, pallet, packaging materials, and the product exactly as received and take clear photographs of the packaging and any visible damage.
Reporting damage promptly is important because carriers and manufacturers have limited timeframes for filing freight and shipping claims.
If you receive an incorrect product or believe there is a manufacturer defect, please contact us before returning or disposing of any merchandise or packaging so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.
Refused Deliveries
Please contact us before refusing a delivery unless the shipment has obvious significant freight damage and the carrier is documenting the damage at delivery.
A shipment that is refused for reasons unrelated to verified shipping damage may be treated as a standard return. Applicable restocking and shipping charges may therefore be deducted from the refund.
Return Shipping Deadline
Once a return has been approved and return instructions or a return label have been issued, the merchandise must be shipped within 72 hours unless MedCare Mobility provides different instructions in writing.
This is particularly important when a return is approaching the end of the applicable return period. Returns shipped outside the authorized timeframe may be refused by the manufacturer or warehouse and may no longer qualify for a refund.
Refund Processing
Refunds are processed after the returned merchandise has been received and inspected by the applicable warehouse or manufacturer and the return has been confirmed to meet the return requirements.
The applicable restocking fee, shipping charges associated with the order, and any other authorized return-related charges will be deducted from the amount eligible for refund.
If returned merchandise is used, damaged, incomplete, missing original packaging or components, or otherwise returned in a condition that prevents the manufacturer or warehouse from accepting it as new and resalable merchandise, the return may be refused or the refund may be reduced in accordance with the manufacturer’s assessment.
Custom & Made-to-Order Products
Products identified as custom, configured, made-to-order, special-order, or manufactured specifically for the customer cannot generally be canceled once production or manufacturer processing has begun and are not eligible for standard returns.
For custom products, cancellation may only be possible during the initial processing period and before production or customization begins. Because production schedules vary by manufacturer, we encourage customers to contact us immediately if a change is required.
If a custom product arrives damaged or has a legitimate manufacturing defect, we will work with the manufacturer to pursue the appropriate resolution, replacement components, repair, or other available remedy under the applicable manufacturer policy or warranty.
Questions Before Ordering?
Medical equipment can vary considerably in size, configuration, compatibility, and intended use. If you are unsure whether a product will work for your needs, we strongly encourage you to contact us before placing your order.
Our team is happy to help review product specifications, dimensions, options, compatibility, and available manufacturer information so you can make a more informed purchasing decision and reduce the possibility of needing a return.
For shipping, return, or product questions, contact us at info@medcaremobility.com or speak with us through the live chat on our website.
