Both Clinton tables have an air-spring backrest that adjusts from 4° to 68° and a pull-out leg rest on a steel track, so patients of different heights lie comfortably.

Capacity and width

Both are rated for 400 lb and have a full 28.5″ wide top, wider than many budget tables, which helps larger patients feel secure.

Our take: if most of your patients are older or less mobile, spend the extra on the 8890 with the built-in step. For a general practice room, the 8870 does the job well.
