Description
VOCIC D50 Portable Mobility Scooter – Lightweight 4-Wheel Travel Scooter With Swivel Seat and 15.5-Mile Range
The VOCIC D50 is a portable mobility scooter made to come apart for the car. Lift the seat off, fold the tiller down, and the heaviest piece you carry is 33.1 lbs instead of the whole 63.9 lb scooter. VOCIC rates it for riders up to 265 lbs, and it goes up to 15.5 miles on a charge at speeds up to 3.7 mph.
It’s also built around the things that make daily use easier: a 360° swivel seat so you can turn to get on and off, armrests that fold up, a tiller that adjusts to your reach, and a front LED headlight. A waterproof storage bag up front keeps small things dry, and the control panel has a USB port to charge your phone on the way.
It’s a good travel mobility scooter for trips by car, and it turns in tight spaces indoors. VOCIC says setup takes about 2 minutes. Choose Black, Red or Blue in the dropdown above.
Why Choose the VOCIC D50?
The D50 solves the most common problem with travel scooters: lifting them. Many scooters are light on paper but still go into the trunk as one heavy piece. The D50 separates, so you, a spouse or a friend lift one piece at a time.
It’s also comfortable for its size. The seat swivels a full circle, the seat height adjusts, the armrests fold up and adjust in width, and the tiller angle adjusts so you’re not stretching forward. Rear anti-tip wheels add stability, and the solid tires never need air.
Who Is the VOCIC D50 Best For?
The D50 is a good fit for:
- People who travel by car and need a scooter for errands, shopping, appointments and outings
- Riders up to 265 lbs and about 4’11” to 6’3″ tall
- Households where no one wants to lift a 60-plus lb scooter in one go
- Anyone who gets on and off often and wants a swivel seat and fold-up armrests
- People who ride indoors in stores, malls and homes with tight corners
Comparing scooter types? Our Best Mobility Scooters: The Complete Buying Guide covers 3-wheel, 4-wheel, folding, travel and heavy duty scooters, and the Mobility Scooter Knowledge Base answers the common questions.
Who May Need a Different Scooter?
- Riders over 265 lbs: choose a heavy duty scooter with a higher rating.
- People who want speed or long range: the D50 tops out at 3.7 mph and goes up to 15.5 miles per charge. For longer, faster days, look at a full-size scooter.
- Rough ground: 6″ and 7.5″ solid tires do best on firm surfaces. For gravel, deep grass or steep hills, a full-size outdoor scooter with larger tires is the better tool.
- Anyone who wants a scooter that folds itself: the D50 comes apart by hand. If you’d rather press a button and have it fold, see the VOCIC D91 Remote Folding Mobility Scooter.
- Anyone who wants to carry a passenger: VOCIC states the D50 is for one rider only.
Comes Apart: Heaviest Piece 33.1 lbs
The full scooter weighs 63.9 lbs with the battery. For the car, you lift the seat off its post, fold the tiller down and carry the pieces separately. VOCIC’s spec table lists the heaviest piece at 33.1 lbs. It arrives with the frame folded and the seat and battery packed separately, and VOCIC says setup takes about 2 minutes.
360° Swivel Seat and Fold-Up Armrests
The seat turns a full circle, so you can face the side, sit down, then swing your legs onto the floorboard. The armrests fold up and out of the way and adjust in width. The seat is 16.9″ x 16.1″ with a 13.8″ backrest, and VOCIC shows the seat height adjusting from about 18.8″ to 19.8″.
15.5 Miles Per Charge, Up to 3.7 mph
The 24V 250W motor and 24V 20Ah lithium battery give a range of up to 15.5 miles per charge, according to VOCIC. Top speed is 3.7 mph, about a brisk walking pace, set with a dial on the control panel. Range goes down with heavier loads, hills, cold weather and stop-and-go riding, so plan with some room to spare.
27.6″ Turning Radius for Tight Spaces
VOCIC lists a 27.6″ minimum turning radius, which helps in store aisles, elevators and home hallways. Rear anti-tip wheels add stability on the move.
Simple Controls, LED Headlight and USB Port
You drive with finger levers on either side of the tiller. The control panel has a speed dial, a battery gauge, a key switch, a horn button and a switch for the front LED headlight. A USB port charges your phone, and the waterproof storage bag up front keeps small things dry.
Sizing & Fit
Check these five things before you order:
- Your weight: VOCIC rates the D50 for one rider up to 265 lbs. Count anything heavy you’ll carry in the bag.
- Your height: VOCIC suggests riders about 4’11” to 6’3″ (150–190 cm). The seat height and tiller angle adjust within that range.
- Seat size: the seat is 16.9″ x 16.1″. Sit in a chair and measure across your hips. If you’re close to the seat width, the adjustable-width armrests give you a little more room, and they fold up to make getting on and off easier.
- Turning space: VOCIC lists a 27.6″ minimum turning radius in its features (its spec table shows a larger figure, so allow extra room). Measure the narrowest place you’ll need to turn around.
- Where you’ll ride: the D50 is at home on sidewalks, store floors, malls and smooth paths. VOCIC doesn’t list ground clearance or a climbing grade, so ask us before you plan on curbs, steep ramps or rough ground.
Not sure it’s right? Call us at 585-505-6665 with your height, weight and where you’ll ride, and we’ll give you a straight answer.
Taking It on a Trip
For the car, the D50 comes apart into the seat, the folded frame and the battery. VOCIC’s photos show it fitting in a car trunk. The shipping carton is 45.3″ x 21.1″ x 14.6″, which gives you a rough idea of the folded frame’s size, so measure your trunk before you order.
For flights, VOCIC lists a 24V 20Ah lithium battery and doesn’t describe the D50 as airline approved. Airlines set their own limits on lithium batteries, usually by watt-hours, and each one decides for itself. Call your airline before you book, and ask us for the battery details to give them. If flying with your scooter matters most, the D91 is the VOCIC model VOCIC lists as airline compliant.
Choosing Your Options
There’s one dropdown: Color. All three are the same D50 with the same frame, motor, battery, seat and measurements. Only the color changes.
| Color | VOCIC SKU | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| Black | D50-BK | Same D50 scooter in black |
| Red | D50-RD | Same D50 scooter in red |
| Blue | D50-BL | Same D50 scooter in blue |
Questions about a color? Call us at 585-505-6665.
VOCIC D50 vs. VOCIC D91
Both are VOCIC four-wheel travel scooters rated for 265 lbs with a range of up to 15.5 miles, and they weigh about the same (63.9 lbs for the D50, 62.8 lbs for the D91). The D50 comes apart, so you lift lighter pieces, and it has a swivel seat, fold-up armrests, a headlight and a tighter turning radius. The VOCIC D91 Remote Folding Mobility Scooter folds itself with a remote and goes in the car in one piece, it’s faster (up to 4.97 mph vs. 3.7 mph), it charges in about 3 hours instead of 6 to 8, and VOCIC lists its battery as airline compliant. If lifting is the problem, choose the D50. If you fly or want the easiest fold, choose the D91.
Common Problem → VOCIC D50 Solution
Problem: Mom wants to go to the farmers market and the mall with her daughter, but the scooter they tried weighed over 60 lbs in one piece and neither of them could lift it into the trunk.
Solution: The D50 comes apart. The seat lifts off, the tiller folds down, and the heaviest piece is 33.1 lbs. At the market, it goes back together and Mom swivels the seat to get on.
“Will she be able to turn around in the aisles?” VOCIC lists a 27.6″ minimum turning radius, so store aisles and elevators are manageable.
Care & Battery Tips
Follow the user’s manual that comes in the box. General habits help any scooter last: charge the battery after each day of riding, keep the scooter dry and store it indoors, wipe the seat and frame with a damp cloth, and check the tires and seat post now and then. If anything feels off, call us at 585-505-6665.
VOCIC lists warranty coverage of 1 to 5 years. Ask us which parts get which term. As an authorized dealer, we’ll help you with any warranty claim.

Shipping & Returns
Shipping & Return Policy
At MedCare Mobility, we understand that purchasing medical and mobility equipment is an important decision. Our goal is to make the ordering, delivery, and return process as clear and straightforward as possible.
Because many of the products we offer are large, specialized, or shipped directly from manufacturer and distributor warehouses, shipping and return requirements may vary somewhat by product and brand. The policy below explains what you can generally expect when ordering from MedCare Mobility.
Shipping & Order Processing
We ship medical and mobility equipment to customers throughout the United States. Orders are processed as quickly as possible, and tracking information is provided once available.
Processing Time
Most in-stock orders are processed within approximately 1–3 business days. Processing may include order verification, warehouse preparation, packaging, and coordination with the manufacturer or distributor.
Some specialty equipment, made-to-order products, oversized items, or products shipping directly from a manufacturer may require additional processing time. Any estimated processing or lead time shown on an individual product page should be considered part of the expected fulfillment timeframe for that item.
Transit & Delivery Time
Once shipped, many standard orders arrive within approximately 3–7 business days. Larger medical equipment, freight shipments, specialty products, and certain manufacturer-direct orders may require additional transit time.
Tracking information will generally be emailed once the shipment has been processed by the carrier. If you have questions regarding the status of your order, please contact us at info@medcaremobility.com.
Alaska, Hawaii & Special Shipping Areas
Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and certain remote or limited-access areas may be subject to additional shipping charges. If an additional charge is required after your order is reviewed, we will contact you before proceeding whenever additional payment is necessary.
Freight & Oversized Equipment
Hospital beds, patient lifts, large recliners, ramps, and other oversized medical equipment may ship by freight rather than standard parcel service. Unless a specific delivery service is stated on the product page or order, freight delivery does not automatically include inside delivery, assembly, installation, or removal of packaging.
30-Day Return Policy
We want you to feel comfortable ordering from MedCare Mobility. Most eligible products may be returned when a return is requested within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions and exclusions outlined below.
Eligible products generally include:
- Electric and power wheelchairs
- Manual and lightweight wheelchairs
- Mobility scooters
- Walkers and rollators
- Patient lifts
- Wheelchair ramps
- Hospital and homecare beds
- Eligible medical mattresses
- Geriatric and medical recliner chairs
- Overbed tables
- Bathroom benches and shower chairs
- Other eligible medical and mobility equipment
Return eligibility can vary by manufacturer and product type. Products specifically identified as non-returnable, custom, made-to-order, or otherwise subject to special return terms are governed by those terms.
Return Authorization
Please contact us before shipping any product back. Returns must first be approved and issued a Return Authorization (RA) and the appropriate return shipping address.
You may request a return by emailing info@medcaremobility.com or contacting our customer service team through the live chat on our website.
Please do not return merchandise to an address shown on the original shipping label unless specifically instructed to do so. Many products ship directly from manufacturer or distributor warehouses, and the correct return location may be different from the original shipping location.
Condition of Returned Merchandise
To qualify for a return and refund, the product must be returned:
- In brand-new and unused condition
- In its complete original manufacturer packaging
- With all manuals, components, hardware, accessories, and included materials
- Without damage, modification, assembly wear, stains, odors, or other signs of use
- In resalable condition upon inspection by the receiving warehouse or manufacturer
We strongly recommend keeping the original box, pallet, protective materials, and packaging until you are certain that you intend to keep the equipment. Large medical equipment can be difficult or impossible to return safely without its original packaging.
Restocking Fees
Approved returns are subject to a mandatory restocking fee, generally ranging from 15% to 20% of the applicable product price. The exact restocking percentage varies depending on the manufacturer, brand, and type of equipment being returned.
These restocking charges are assessed to us by the manufacturer or distributing warehouse when merchandise is returned. MedCare Mobility does not add the fee simply as a return penalty; when the manufacturer requires the charge, we must pass the applicable amount through as part of processing the return.
If you would like to know the applicable restocking percentage for a particular product before ordering, please contact us and we will be happy to help whenever that information is available from the manufacturer.
Return Shipping & Shipping Charges
The customer is responsible for shipping charges associated with the order when making a standard return.
Customers are responsible for arranging for the approved merchandise to be returned to the return address provided with the Return Authorization. In certain cases, we may be able to provide a prepaid return label or coordinate return transportation for your convenience. When provided, the applicable shipping cost may be deducted from the final refund.
Because some medical equipment is oversized or requires freight transportation, prepaid labels or carrier call tags may not be available for every product. Our customer service team will provide the available return instructions when your return is authorized.
Non-Returnable Products
For health, hygiene, safety, customization, and manufacturer-policy reasons, certain products are not eligible for standard returns.
We currently do not accept returns on:
- Parts & accessories
- Wheelchair cushions and support accessories
- Patient lift slings
- Custom or made-to-order products
- Products specifically identified as non-returnable on the product page
If a non-returnable product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us promptly. Non-returnable status does not prevent us from assisting with a legitimate shipping damage, defect, warranty, or fulfillment issue in accordance with the applicable manufacturer and carrier procedures.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
We take shipping damage seriously and will work with you to help resolve legitimate delivery issues.
If your product arrives damaged, please notify MedCare Mobility within 48 hours of delivery. Whenever possible, retain the shipping carton, pallet, packaging materials, and the product exactly as received and take clear photographs of the packaging and any visible damage.
Reporting damage promptly is important because carriers and manufacturers have limited timeframes for filing freight and shipping claims.
If you receive an incorrect product or believe there is a manufacturer defect, please contact us before returning or disposing of any merchandise or packaging so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.
Refused Deliveries
Please contact us before refusing a delivery unless the shipment has obvious significant freight damage and the carrier is documenting the damage at delivery.
A shipment that is refused for reasons unrelated to verified shipping damage may be treated as a standard return. Applicable restocking and shipping charges may therefore be deducted from the refund.
Return Shipping Deadline
Once a return has been approved and return instructions or a return label have been issued, the merchandise must be shipped within 72 hours unless MedCare Mobility provides different instructions in writing.
This is particularly important when a return is approaching the end of the applicable return period. Returns shipped outside the authorized timeframe may be refused by the manufacturer or warehouse and may no longer qualify for a refund.
Refund Processing
Refunds are processed after the returned merchandise has been received and inspected by the applicable warehouse or manufacturer and the return has been confirmed to meet the return requirements.
The applicable restocking fee, shipping charges associated with the order, and any other authorized return-related charges will be deducted from the amount eligible for refund.
If returned merchandise is used, damaged, incomplete, missing original packaging or components, or otherwise returned in a condition that prevents the manufacturer or warehouse from accepting it as new and resalable merchandise, the return may be refused or the refund may be reduced in accordance with the manufacturer’s assessment.
Custom & Made-to-Order Products
Products identified as custom, configured, made-to-order, special-order, or manufactured specifically for the customer cannot generally be canceled once production or manufacturer processing has begun and are not eligible for standard returns.
For custom products, cancellation may only be possible during the initial processing period and before production or customization begins. Because production schedules vary by manufacturer, we encourage customers to contact us immediately if a change is required.
If a custom product arrives damaged or has a legitimate manufacturing defect, we will work with the manufacturer to pursue the appropriate resolution, replacement components, repair, or other available remedy under the applicable manufacturer policy or warranty.
Questions Before Ordering?
Medical equipment can vary considerably in size, configuration, compatibility, and intended use. If you are unsure whether a product will work for your needs, we strongly encourage you to contact us before placing your order.
Our team is happy to help review product specifications, dimensions, options, compatibility, and available manufacturer information so you can make a more informed purchasing decision and reduce the possibility of needing a return.
For shipping, return, or product questions, contact us at info@medcaremobility.com or speak with us through the live chat on our website.
