Description

Advanced 4-in-1 Lateral Rotation, Low Air Loss, Alternating Pressure & Pulsation Therapy

The Protekt® Aire 7000 Lateral Rotation Mattress System is an advanced therapeutic lateral rotation mattress built for patients who need high-level pressure redistribution, moisture control, repositioning assistance, and advanced powered support for long-term bed care.

Unlike basic foam mattresses or standard alternating pressure systems, the Protekt® Aire 7000 combines four major therapeutic technologies in one powerful support surface:

  • ✔️ Lateral rotation therapy
  • ✔️ Low air loss therapy
  • ✔️ Alternating pressure therapy
  • ✔️ Pulsation therapy

This makes it a highly capable special mattress for bed sores, an advanced air mattress for pressure ulcers, and a premium low air loss mattress for patients who require more than basic pressure relief.

Whether you are searching for:

  • ✔️ A lateral rotation mattress
  • ✔️ A special mattress for bed sores
  • ✔️ An air mattress for pressure ulcers
  • ✔️ A low air loss mattress
  • ✔️ A mattress that helps turn patients
  • ✔️ An advanced hospital bed air mattress
  • ✔️ A powered mattress for wound care support
  • ✔️ A pressure ulcer treatment mattress
  • ✔️ A bariatric-friendly air mattress system
  • ✔️ A mattress for patients who cannot reposition

the Protekt® Aire 7000 is designed to provide advanced clinical-grade therapy, safer caregiver support, improved patient positioning, and stronger skin protection support for hospitals, long-term care, skilled nursing, rehab, hospice, and advanced homecare environments.

Why the Protekt® Aire 7000 Stands Out

The Protekt® Aire 7000 stands out because it is not just an alternating pressure mattress and not just a low air loss mattress. It is a multi-therapy support system designed for higher-acuity pressure care needs.

✔️ 4-in-1 advanced therapy mattress system
✔️ Programmable lateral rotation support
✔️ Left, right, and full turn modes
✔️ iLAL™ independent low air loss therapy
✔️ TrueCare™ alternating pressure technology
✔️ Adjustable pulsation therapy mode
✔️ Constant low pressure CLP mode
✔️ Cell-on-cell bottoming-out protection
✔️ Auto-firm setup and transfer mode
✔️ Fowler detector safety protection
✔️ Audio/visual safety alarms included
✔️ Supports patients up to 660 lbs.

What Is a Lateral Rotation Mattress?

A lateral rotation mattress is a powered therapeutic mattress system designed to gently turn or rotate the patient from side to side while they remain in bed.

This is especially important for patients who:

  • ✔️ Cannot reposition independently
  • ✔️ Spend most of the day in bed
  • ✔️ Need frequent turning assistance
  • ✔️ Are at high risk for pressure ulcers
  • ✔️ Require caregiver-supported repositioning
  • ✔️ Need advanced pressure redistribution therapy

The Protekt® Aire 7000 provides three lateral turning modes:

  • ✔️ Left Turn
  • ✔️ Right Turn
  • ✔️ Full Turn

Caregivers can adjust turning angles and turning cycle times from 10 to 95 minutes, allowing the system to be customized for the patient’s needs, comfort tolerance, and care plan.

How Lateral Rotation Helps Real Patient Care Problems

Many pressure injuries develop because a patient remains in the same position for too long. Manual turning schedules can help, but they can also be difficult, physically demanding, and inconsistent when caregivers are busy or patients are difficult to reposition.

The Protekt® Aire 7000 helps address these real problems by providing powered lateral rotation support.

This may help with:

  • ✔️ Reducing prolonged pressure on one side
  • ✔️ Supporting more consistent repositioning
  • ✔️ Reducing caregiver turning burden
  • ✔️ Improving patient positioning routines
  • ✔️ Helping patients who cannot tolerate manual turning
  • ✔️ Supporting advanced pressure ulcer care plans

This makes the Aire 7000 especially valuable for long-term immobile patients, higher-risk wound care cases, and care environments where consistent repositioning support is critical.

TrueCare™ Alternating Pressure Technology

The Protekt® Aire 7000 includes TrueCare™ Alternating Technology, designed to improve comfort during alternating pressure therapy.

Traditional alternating systems can sometimes feel abrupt as one set of cells deflates before the other set fully supports the patient. TrueCare™ improves this process by re-inflating the first set of alternating cells before the second set begins to deflate.

This helps:

  • ✔️ Improve patient comfort
  • ✔️ Reduce sudden pressure shifts
  • ✔️ Create smoother alternating therapy
  • ✔️ Improve support continuity
  • ✔️ Reduce discomfort during pressure cycling

The system also allows selectable alternating cycle times:

  • ✔️ 10 minutes
  • ✔️ 15 minutes
  • ✔️ 20 minutes
  • ✔️ 25 minutes
  • ✔️ 30 minutes

This gives caregivers more control than many basic alternating pressure mattress systems.

iLAL™ Independent Low Air Loss Therapy

The Protekt® Aire 7000 includes innovative iLAL™ Independent Low Air Loss technology designed to help reduce moisture and skin heat on the support surface.

Low air loss therapy is important because heat and moisture can create a more uncomfortable and risky skin environment for bedridden patients.

The iLAL™ system periodically provides a high volume of air loss relief to help:

  • ✔️ Reduce skin heat
  • ✔️ Improve moisture management
  • ✔️ Support a cooler sleep surface
  • ✔️ Help keep skin drier
  • ✔️ Improve comfort during long-term bed rest

This is especially valuable for:

  • ✔️ Patients who perspire in bed
  • ✔️ Patients with fragile skin
  • ✔️ Patients with pressure ulcer concerns
  • ✔️ Long-term bedridden individuals
  • ✔️ Patients needing moisture-control therapy

Pulsation Therapy & Constant Low Pressure Mode

The Aire 7000 gives caregivers additional therapeutic options beyond rotation and alternating pressure.

Pulsation Mode

Pulsation mode provides a periodic pressure-changing static surface with adjustable cycle timing.

This can be useful for:

  • ✔️ Patients who need gentle pressure variation
  • ✔️ Patients who may not tolerate full alternating therapy
  • ✔️ Care settings needing flexible support options
  • ✔️ Comfort-focused pressure redistribution

Constant Low Pressure Mode

Constant Low Pressure, or CLP mode, places the mattress into a low-pressure static support surface.

This is ideal for patients who:

  • ✔️ Cannot tolerate a dynamic mattress surface
  • ✔️ Still require pressure redistribution
  • ✔️ Need a calmer therapeutic surface
  • ✔️ Require customized comfort support

These modes help make the Aire 7000 more adaptable to different patient conditions and tolerance levels.

Cell-on-Cell Safety Design Prevents Bottoming Out

The Protekt® Aire 7000 uses an 18-bladder cell-on-cell mattress design.

This matters because if there is a power failure, the lower cell structure helps reduce the risk of the patient bottoming out directly onto the bed deck.

Benefits include:

  • ✔️ Added safety during power interruption
  • ✔️ Better support continuity
  • ✔️ Reduced bottoming-out risk
  • ✔️ More caregiver confidence
  • ✔️ Stronger long-term therapeutic design

For high-risk patients, this is a critical safety feature that separates advanced systems from basic air mattresses.

Auto-Firm Mode for Setup, Transfers & Bed Entry

Auto-firm mode quickly firms the mattress for easier setup, ingress, and egress from bed.

This is especially helpful during:

  • ✔️ Patient transfers
  • ✔️ Bed entry and exit
  • ✔️ Repositioning
  • ✔️ Caregiver-assisted movement
  • ✔️ Mattress setup
  • ✔️ Wound care or hygiene care tasks

A firmer temporary surface can improve stability and caregiver control during moments when the mattress should not feel soft or unstable.

Two-Stage Fowler Detector for Safer Bed Positioning

The Protekt® Aire 7000 includes a two-stage Fowler detector designed to protect the patient during head-of-bed elevation.

This feature:

  • ✔️ Automatically stops turning at 20 degrees
  • ✔️ Increases pressure output at 45 degrees
  • ✔️ Helps reduce bottoming-out risk
  • ✔️ Supports safer upright positioning
  • ✔️ Improves patient protection during bed elevation

This is especially important when patients spend time with the head of the bed elevated for eating, breathing support, conversation, reading, or medical positioning.

Safety Alarms & Auto-Lockout Protection

The Protekt® Aire 7000 includes audio/visual alarms to help alert caregivers when attention is needed.

Safety alarms include:

  • ✔️ Power failure alarm
  • ✔️ Low pressure alarm
  • ✔️ Service alarm with error code

It also includes an auto-lockout feature that locks the control panel to help prevent accidental setting changes.

This is highly valuable in:

  • ✔️ Nursing facilities
  • ✔️ Busy care environments
  • ✔️ Homecare with multiple caregivers
  • ✔️ Advanced pressure care settings

Comfortable, Protective Quilted Medical Cover

The Aire 7000 includes a nylon quilted top cover designed for comfort, durability, and medical-grade skin protection support.

The cover is:

  • ✔️ Fluid resistant
  • ✔️ Anti-microbial
  • ✔️ Anti-bacterial
  • ✔️ Vapor permeable
  • ✔️ Fire retardant
  • ✔️ Quilted for added comfort

The vapor-permeable design helps support a healthier microclimate by allowing moisture vapor movement while still helping protect the mattress surface from fluids.
