Description

VOCIC Z63 Adjustable Resistance Rollator – Rollator With Speed Control You Set With a Dial

The VOCIC Z63 Adjusta-Speed is an adjustable resistance rollator: turn a dial on the frame and the wheels take more effort to roll, so the rollator stays with you instead of running ahead. It has three resistance levels plus an off setting, needs no charging, and pairs that with two brakes, one that slows you gently to a stop and one that parks it. VOCIC rates it for users up to 300 lbs.

If you’ve been searching for a rollator with speed control, this is what that means in practice: on a downhill ramp, a sloped driveway or a smooth store floor, the Z63 won’t pick up speed the way a free-rolling rollator can. People who need a slow down rollator because their steps are short, or because a walker tends to get away from them, get a steadier pace without having to ride the brakes.

It also has a seat that adjusts from 19.7″ to 21.3″, a wide backrest, handles from 29.9″ to 35.8″ and a shopping bag. Pick your color in the dropdown above: Black or Beige.

Why Choose the VOCIC Z63?

Brakes stop a rollator. They don’t control how fast it rolls between stops. On a slope, or for someone whose steps are slower than the rollator wants to go, that gap is where trouble starts. The Z63 closes it: the resistance dial keeps the wheels from freewheeling, so the rollator moves at your pace and you keep your hands on the grips instead of squeezing a brake the whole way down a ramp.

The control box is maintenance-free with no battery to charge, and VOCIC backs the Z63 with an 18-month end-user warranty.

How Adjustable Resistance Works

Resistance is a steady, even drag on the wheels. The more you add, the more effort it takes to push the rollator forward, so it can’t roll away from you. VOCIC’s dial has four positions:

  • 0: no added resistance. The Z63 rolls like a regular rollator.
  • 1, 2 and 3: more resistance at each step, with 3 the most. Turn it up for ramps, slopes and smooth floors where the rollator tends to glide, and back down for level ground.

Resistance slows the rollator; it doesn’t stop it. Use the pull-up brake to come to a stop and the pull-down parking brake before you sit. VOCIC says the damping gives safer support for users with limited mobility, especially on slopes and uneven surfaces. If you’re not sure which setting suits you, start low and adjust with your therapist or caregiver.

Who Is the VOCIC Z63 Best For?

The Z63 is a good fit for:

  • People whose rollator tends to roll out ahead of them
  • Anyone with a ramp, sloped driveway or hilly neighborhood on their daily route
  • Users who take short or slow steps and want the rollator to match their pace
  • Caregivers who want a rollator that won’t speed up on its own
  • People who want a seat they can set to their own height

Still comparing walkers? Our Complete Walker Buying Guide explains the main types, and the Walker Knowledge Base covers fit and safety.

Who May Need a Different Rollator?

  • Users over 300 lbs: choose a heavy duty rollator rated above your weight.
  • People who want motor help going uphill: the VOCIC Z73 Electric Walker adds powered assist.
  • Taller users or rough outdoor ground: the Z63’s handles top out at 35.8″. The VOCIC Z57 Large Wheel Rollator has handles to 42″ and 12″ front wheels.
  • People who need a wide seat: the Z63 seat is 14.2″ wide. The Z57’s is 18″.
  • Anyone who needs to be pushed while seated: a rollator isn’t a wheelchair. Use a transport chair.

3 Resistance Levels, No Charging

The adjustable damping controller gives three resistance levels plus an off position. The control box isn’t rechargeable and needs no charging, so there’s no battery to run down and nothing to plug in. VOCIC says it gives continuous damping over the long term.

Two Brakes: Slow-Down and Parking

Pull the brake levers up and the Z63 slows gradually until it comes to a complete stop. Push them down for the parking brake, which locks the rollator so it won’t roll, even on a slope. Always set the parking brake before you sit.

300 lb Capacity, 23.4 lb Aluminum Frame

VOCIC rates the Z63 for up to 300 lbs. The aluminum frame weighs 23.4 lbs with the damper, seat, backrest and bag.

Seat Height From 19.7″ to 21.3″ With a Wide Backrest

The seat adjusts from 19.7″ to 21.3″ off the floor, so you can set it for your leg length. It measures 14.2″ wide by 12.2″ deep with 1.8″ of padding. Behind it is an Oxford cloth backrest that VOCIC describes as a wide 115° backrest that hugs your back.

Handles From 29.9″ to 35.8″

The handles adjust from 29.9″ to 35.8″ in three steps. VOCIC lists the Z63 for users about 5’1″ to 6’2″. Set the handles at your wrist-crease height, measured standing straight in your everyday shoes.

Folds With a Shopping Bag Included

The Z63 folds to 35.4″ x 24.8″ x 13.4″ for storage or the trunk. The shopping bag that comes with it holds up to 22 lbs.

Choosing Your Options

There’s one dropdown: Color. Both colors are the same Z63 with the same resistance dial, brakes, seat, handles and measurements. Only the color changes, so pick the one you like.

Color VOCIC SKU What changes
Black Z63-A-BK Same rollator, color only
Beige Z63-A-BE Same rollator, color only

Questions about a color? Call us at 585-505-6665.

Z63 vs. the VOCIC Z57 Large Wheel Rollator

Both are VOCIC aluminum rollators rated for 300 lbs with a seat and backrest. The Z63 is the one for control: the resistance dial keeps it from rolling away on slopes and smooth floors, the seat height adjusts from 19.7″ to 21.3″, and the handles go as low as 29.9″. The Z57 is the one for rough ground and taller users: 12″ front wheels, an 18″ wide seat and handles up to 42″, but no resistance control. If speed is the worry, choose the Z63.

Common Problem → VOCIC Z63 Solution

Problem: Mom’s rollator picks up speed on the ramp down from the porch and on the slope at the pharmacy parking lot. She ends up squeezing the brakes the whole way down, and her hands get tired.

Solution: With the Z63 she sets the dial to 2 or 3 before the ramp, and the rollator holds a steady pace at her speed. Inside the house she turns it back to 0. When she wants to sit, she pushes the brakes down to park.

“Does she have to charge it?” No. The control box isn’t rechargeable and needs no charging at all.

Sizing & Fit

  • User height: VOCIC lists about 5’1″ to 6’2″.
  • Handle height: floor to wrist crease in everyday shoes should land between 29.9″ and 35.8″.
  • Seat: 14.2″ wide, 12.2″ deep, adjustable from 19.7″ to 21.3″ high. Sit with your feet flat on the floor.
  • Doorways: VOCIC’s diagram shows it 24.8″ wide and 25.2″ deep. Your doorways and halls should be wider than 24.8″.
  • Weight: 300 lbs maximum; the bag holds up to 22 lbs.

Care & Cleaning

VOCIC doesn’t publish separate care steps for the Z63. As general care, wipe the frame and seat with a damp cloth and mild soap, keep water away from the control box, keep the wheels clear of hair and debris, and check that both brakes work before each use. VOCIC says the brakes and wheels can be replaced if they break; call us at 585-505-6665 for parts.

What’s Included

VOCIC lists these parts in the box: the aluminum frame, handles, brake handles, brake cable, backrest, damper, seat, spring button, shopping bag, front wheels and rear wheels. That means some assembly when it arrives; ask us if you’d like the steps before you order.

Warranty

VOCIC backs the Z63 with an 18-month end-user warranty (coverage varies by component); ask us for the current terms. As an authorized dealer, we’ll help you with any warranty claim.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the VOCIC Z63 Adjusta-Speed Rollator?

It’s an aluminum four-wheel rollator with a resistance dial that slows how freely the wheels roll. It has three resistance levels plus off, needs no charging, holds up to 300 lbs and has a height-adjustable padded seat, a backrest, two kinds of brakes and a shopping bag.

What does adjustable resistance do?

It adds a steady drag to the wheels so the rollator doesn’t roll faster than you walk. That helps on downhill ramps, sloped driveways and smooth floors, and for anyone whose rollator tends to get ahead of them. It slows the rollator; the brakes stop it.

Which resistance setting should I use?

Use 0 on level ground and turn it up as the ground slopes or the floor gets slick. VOCIC’s dial goes from 0 (off) to 3 (most resistance). If you’re unsure, start low and adjust with your therapist or caregiver.

Does it need charging or batteries?

No. The control box isn’t rechargeable and needs no charging. There’s no battery to run down.

Can the resistance replace the brakes?

No. Resistance controls your speed while you walk. To stop, pull the brake levers up and the Z63 slows gradually to a full stop; push them down to park it before you sit.

How much weight can it hold?

VOCIC rates it for a maximum of 300 lbs. The shopping bag holds up to 22 lbs.

How much does the rollator weigh?

It weighs 23.4 lbs. The shipping weight is 26.8 lbs.

Will it fit my height?

VOCIC lists it for users about 5’1″ to 6’2″, with handles that adjust from 29.9″ to 35.8″. Measure from the floor to your wrist crease in everyday shoes; if that’s in the range, it will fit.

How high is the seat?

The seat adjusts from 19.7″ to 21.3″ off the floor and measures 14.2″ wide by 12.2″ deep.

Does it fold?

Yes. It folds to 35.4″ x 24.8″ x 13.4″ for storage or the trunk.

Does it come assembled?

Expect some assembly. VOCIC ships the frame with the handles, brake handles, brake cable, backrest, damper, seat, spring button, shopping bag and wheels. Ask us for the steps if you’d like them before you order.

What’s the warranty?

VOCIC backs the Z63 with an 18-month end-user warranty (coverage varies by component). VOCIC also says the brakes and wheels can be replaced if they break. Ask us for the current terms.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping & Return Policy

At MedCare Mobility, we understand that purchasing medical and mobility equipment is an important decision. Our goal is to make the ordering, delivery, and return process as clear and straightforward as possible.

Because many of the products we offer are large, specialized, or shipped directly from manufacturer and distributor warehouses, shipping and return requirements may vary somewhat by product and brand. The policy below explains what you can generally expect when ordering from MedCare Mobility.

Shipping & Order Processing

We ship medical and mobility equipment to customers throughout the United States. Orders are processed as quickly as possible, and tracking information is provided once available.

Processing Time

Most in-stock orders are processed within approximately 1–3 business days. Processing may include order verification, warehouse preparation, packaging, and coordination with the manufacturer or distributor.

Some specialty equipment, made-to-order products, oversized items, or products shipping directly from a manufacturer may require additional processing time. Any estimated processing or lead time shown on an individual product page should be considered part of the expected fulfillment timeframe for that item.

Transit & Delivery Time

Once shipped, many standard orders arrive within approximately 3–7 business days. Larger medical equipment, freight shipments, specialty products, and certain manufacturer-direct orders may require additional transit time.

Tracking information will generally be emailed once the shipment has been processed by the carrier. If you have questions regarding the status of your order, please contact us at info@medcaremobility.com.

Alaska, Hawaii & Special Shipping Areas

Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and certain remote or limited-access areas may be subject to additional shipping charges. If an additional charge is required after your order is reviewed, we will contact you before proceeding whenever additional payment is necessary.

Freight & Oversized Equipment

Hospital beds, patient lifts, large recliners, ramps, and other oversized medical equipment may ship by freight rather than standard parcel service. Unless a specific delivery service is stated on the product page or order, freight delivery does not automatically include inside delivery, assembly, installation, or removal of packaging.

30-Day Return Policy

We want you to feel comfortable ordering from MedCare Mobility. Most eligible products may be returned when a return is requested within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions and exclusions outlined below.

Eligible products generally include:

  • Electric and power wheelchairs
  • Manual and lightweight wheelchairs
  • Mobility scooters
  • Walkers and rollators
  • Patient lifts
  • Wheelchair ramps
  • Hospital and homecare beds
  • Eligible medical mattresses
  • Geriatric and medical recliner chairs
  • Overbed tables
  • Bathroom benches and shower chairs
  • Other eligible medical and mobility equipment

Return eligibility can vary by manufacturer and product type. Products specifically identified as non-returnable, custom, made-to-order, or otherwise subject to special return terms are governed by those terms.

Return Authorization

Please contact us before shipping any product back. Returns must first be approved and issued a Return Authorization (RA) and the appropriate return shipping address.

You may request a return by emailing info@medcaremobility.com or contacting our customer service team through the live chat on our website.

Please do not return merchandise to an address shown on the original shipping label unless specifically instructed to do so. Many products ship directly from manufacturer or distributor warehouses, and the correct return location may be different from the original shipping location.

Condition of Returned Merchandise

To qualify for a return and refund, the product must be returned:

  • In brand-new and unused condition
  • In its complete original manufacturer packaging
  • With all manuals, components, hardware, accessories, and included materials
  • Without damage, modification, assembly wear, stains, odors, or other signs of use
  • In resalable condition upon inspection by the receiving warehouse or manufacturer

We strongly recommend keeping the original box, pallet, protective materials, and packaging until you are certain that you intend to keep the equipment. Large medical equipment can be difficult or impossible to return safely without its original packaging.

Restocking Fees

Approved returns are subject to a mandatory restocking fee, generally ranging from 15% to 20% of the applicable product price. The exact restocking percentage varies depending on the manufacturer, brand, and type of equipment being returned.

These restocking charges are assessed to us by the manufacturer or distributing warehouse when merchandise is returned. MedCare Mobility does not add the fee simply as a return penalty; when the manufacturer requires the charge, we must pass the applicable amount through as part of processing the return.

If you would like to know the applicable restocking percentage for a particular product before ordering, please contact us and we will be happy to help whenever that information is available from the manufacturer.

Return Shipping & Shipping Charges

The customer is responsible for shipping charges associated with the order when making a standard return.

Customers are responsible for arranging for the approved merchandise to be returned to the return address provided with the Return Authorization. In certain cases, we may be able to provide a prepaid return label or coordinate return transportation for your convenience. When provided, the applicable shipping cost may be deducted from the final refund.

Because some medical equipment is oversized or requires freight transportation, prepaid labels or carrier call tags may not be available for every product. Our customer service team will provide the available return instructions when your return is authorized.

Non-Returnable Products

For health, hygiene, safety, customization, and manufacturer-policy reasons, certain products are not eligible for standard returns.

We currently do not accept returns on:

  • Parts & accessories
  • Wheelchair cushions and support accessories
  • Patient lift slings
  • Custom or made-to-order products
  • Products specifically identified as non-returnable on the product page

If a non-returnable product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us promptly. Non-returnable status does not prevent us from assisting with a legitimate shipping damage, defect, warranty, or fulfillment issue in accordance with the applicable manufacturer and carrier procedures.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

We take shipping damage seriously and will work with you to help resolve legitimate delivery issues.

If your product arrives damaged, please notify MedCare Mobility within 48 hours of delivery. Whenever possible, retain the shipping carton, pallet, packaging materials, and the product exactly as received and take clear photographs of the packaging and any visible damage.

Reporting damage promptly is important because carriers and manufacturers have limited timeframes for filing freight and shipping claims.

If you receive an incorrect product or believe there is a manufacturer defect, please contact us before returning or disposing of any merchandise or packaging so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.

Refused Deliveries

Please contact us before refusing a delivery unless the shipment has obvious significant freight damage and the carrier is documenting the damage at delivery.

A shipment that is refused for reasons unrelated to verified shipping damage may be treated as a standard return. Applicable restocking and shipping charges may therefore be deducted from the refund.

Return Shipping Deadline

Once a return has been approved and return instructions or a return label have been issued, the merchandise must be shipped within 72 hours unless MedCare Mobility provides different instructions in writing.

This is particularly important when a return is approaching the end of the applicable return period. Returns shipped outside the authorized timeframe may be refused by the manufacturer or warehouse and may no longer qualify for a refund.

Refund Processing

Refunds are processed after the returned merchandise has been received and inspected by the applicable warehouse or manufacturer and the return has been confirmed to meet the return requirements.

The applicable restocking fee, shipping charges associated with the order, and any other authorized return-related charges will be deducted from the amount eligible for refund.

If returned merchandise is used, damaged, incomplete, missing original packaging or components, or otherwise returned in a condition that prevents the manufacturer or warehouse from accepting it as new and resalable merchandise, the return may be refused or the refund may be reduced in accordance with the manufacturer’s assessment.

Custom & Made-to-Order Products

Products identified as custom, configured, made-to-order, special-order, or manufactured specifically for the customer cannot generally be canceled once production or manufacturer processing has begun and are not eligible for standard returns.

For custom products, cancellation may only be possible during the initial processing period and before production or customization begins. Because production schedules vary by manufacturer, we encourage customers to contact us immediately if a change is required.

If a custom product arrives damaged or has a legitimate manufacturing defect, we will work with the manufacturer to pursue the appropriate resolution, replacement components, repair, or other available remedy under the applicable manufacturer policy or warranty.

Questions Before Ordering?

Medical equipment can vary considerably in size, configuration, compatibility, and intended use. If you are unsure whether a product will work for your needs, we strongly encourage you to contact us before placing your order.

Our team is happy to help review product specifications, dimensions, options, compatibility, and available manufacturer information so you can make a more informed purchasing decision and reduce the possibility of needing a return.

For shipping, return, or product questions, contact us at info@medcaremobility.com or speak with us through the live chat on our website.
