Description
Invacare 9805P Hydraulic Patient Lift With Sling – Complete Hoyer Lift Kit, 450 lb Capacity
This is the Invacare 9805P hoyer lift with sling in one box: Invacare’s lightweight hydraulic patient lift plus one Invacare Reliant full body mesh sling, packaged by Invacare under a single kit code. You pick the sling style and size in the dropdown above, and the lift and sling arrive together so you’re ready for the first transfer.
The 9805P is a manual hydraulic patient lift. The caregiver works the pump handle to raise the person, and the handle rotates side to side so you can pump from whichever side is easier. Invacare rates the lift for 450 lbs, and every sling in this kit is rated for 450 lbs too. The lifting range runs from 20″ to 64″, which Invacare says is enough to lift a person up from the floor.
Buying a patient lift with sling as a kit takes the guesswork out of matching parts. Invacare lists the 9805P as compatible with its Premier, Reliant and Standard Series slings, and the Reliant sling in this kit attaches to the lift’s padded six-point swivel bar.
Why Choose the 9805P Lift and Sling Kit?
It’s the simplest way to get a lift that works on day one. Many families order a lift, then find out it doesn’t come with a sling. This kit solves that: one Invacare lift, one Invacare sling, chosen by style and size.
The 9805P itself is built for home care. Invacare describes it as slim and lightweight (the lift weighs 68 lbs without a sling), with simple disassembly so it can be moved and set up quickly, low-friction casters that roll easily, and a design meant to help caregivers avoid back injuries during transfers.
450 lb Capacity for the Lift and the Sling
Invacare rates the 9805P lift for up to 450 lbs. Both Reliant slings in this kit, the mesh full body sling and the full body sling with commode opening, are also rated for 450 lbs, so the kit’s limit is 450 lbs. For anyone heavier, call us about a bariatric lift.
20″ to 64″ Lifting Range, Including Lifts From the Floor
The lift raises the sling’s attachment points from 20″ up to 64″. That range covers transfers between a bed, wheelchair, commode and chair, and Invacare states it lets a caregiver lift a person from the floor after a fall.
Six-Point Swivel Bar That Turns 360°
The padded spreader bar has six attachment points and swivels a full 360 degrees. That lets you turn the person to face the chair or bed you’re lowering them onto, and it lets the bar work with every compatible Invacare sling style. Invacare describes it as 360° patient rotation without side-to-side sway.
Choosing Your Options
There’s one dropdown: Sling. Each choice is the same 9805P lift with a different Invacare Reliant sling. Pick the style first, then the size.
Style. The full body mesh sling (R110, R111) is the everyday sling for transfers between bed, wheelchair and chair. The full body sling with commode opening (R114, R115) has an opening in the seat so the person can be lowered onto a commode or toilet without removing the sling. Both support the head, neck and thighs, both are polyester mesh (the plain full body sling also has a brushed lining that Invacare says helps prevent sliding), and both can be used from an upright seated position to fully reclined.
Size. Invacare makes each style in Medium and Large. Invacare’s product pages list the sizes but don’t print a size chart, so if you’re not sure which one fits, call us at 585-505-6665 with the person’s height and weight before you order.
| Invacare kit code | Sling in the kit | Size | Commode opening |
|---|---|---|---|
| 9805P-R110-KIT | Reliant full body mesh sling | Medium | No |
| 9805P-R111-KIT | Reliant full body mesh sling | Large | No |
| 9805P-R114-KIT | Reliant full body mesh sling with commode opening | Medium | Yes |
| 9805P-R115-KIT | Reliant full body mesh sling with commode opening | Large | Yes |
Mesh Full Body Sling vs. Sling With Commode Opening
Choose the plain full body mesh sling if transfers are mostly bed to chair and back. Choose the commode opening sling if the person will be lowered onto a commode or toilet during the day, since that’s what the opening is for. Invacare says both are quick-drying, washable mesh made for wet and dry environments, and both suit people who are fully or partially dependent or have limited head control.
Who Is the 9805P Lift Kit Best For?
This kit is a good fit for:
- Families caring at home for someone who can’t bear weight or stand for a transfer
- Caregivers who want a manual lift with no battery to charge
- Homes where the person may need to be lifted from the floor
- Anyone who needs a lift and a matching sling ordered together
- Toileting routines, with the commode opening sling
New to lifts? Our Patient Lift Knowledge Base answers the common questions, and How to Choose the Best Patient Lift for Transfers walks through the lift types.
Who May Need a Different Lift?
- Anyone over 450 lbs: the kit’s limit is 450 lbs. Call us about a bariatric lift.
- Caregivers who can’t work a pump handle: an electric lift raises the person at the push of a button. See all Hoyer Lifts for Sale.
- Moving someone from room to room: Invacare states the 9805P is for lifting and lowering only, not for transporting a person.
- Tight rooms: the lift is 46.75″ long. Check the space around the bed and chair first (see Sizing & Fit below).
Common Problem → 9805P Lift Kit Solution
Problem: Dad came home from rehab and can’t stand to transfer. Two family members are lifting him from the bed to the wheelchair, and everyone’s back is paying for it.
Solution: The 9805P lift does the lifting. Slide the sling under him in bed, hook it to the six-point bar, pump the handle to raise him, swivel the bar toward the wheelchair and lower him in.
“What if he falls between transfers?” Invacare’s 20″ to 64″ lifting range lets you lift him up from the floor with the same lift and sling.
Sizing & Fit
- Floor space: Invacare lists the lift at 46.75″ long, 22″ to 42.25″ wide (the base legs adjust) and 17″ to 61″ high. Invacare asks you to consider how it will fit between and move around the furniture in your home.
- Lifting range: 20″ to 64″.
- Weight: 450 lbs maximum for the lift and for the sling.
- Sling size: Medium or Large. Call us if you’re between sizes.
Care & Cleaning
The slings are washable. Invacare says to follow the care instructions on the sling label. Before each use, check the sling for wear and make sure every strap is hooked to the bar. For the lift, follow the Invacare owner’s manual that comes with it.
What’s Included
- One Invacare 9805P hydraulic patient lift (beige)
- One Invacare Reliant sling: the style and size you choose in the dropdown
- Invacare owner’s manual
The lift ships in one box (83 lbs, 49″ x 24″ x 14″, per Invacare). Invacare recommends that two people handle and assemble the lift.

Frequently Asked Questions
What comes in the 9805P lift kit?
One Invacare 9805P hydraulic patient lift and one Invacare Reliant sling, the style and size you choose in the dropdown. Invacare packages the two under one kit code.
How much weight can it lift?
Up to 450 lbs. Invacare rates the 9805P lift for 450 lbs, and both Reliant sling styles in this kit are rated for 450 lbs as well.
Which sling should I choose?
Choose the full body mesh sling (R110 or R111) for everyday bed, chair and wheelchair transfers. Choose the sling with commode opening (R114 or R115) if the person will be lowered onto a commode or toilet.
Medium or Large: how do I pick the sling size?
Call us before you order if you’re not sure. Invacare makes each style in Medium and Large but doesn’t print a size chart on its product pages, so we’ll check the person’s height and weight against Invacare’s sizing guidance with you.
Can it lift someone up from the floor?
Yes. Invacare lists a 20″ to 64″ lifting range and says that range allows a person to be lifted from the floor.
Is this an electric lift?
No. It’s a manual hydraulic lift: the caregiver pumps the handle to raise the person. The pump handle rotates side to side so you can work it from either side.
Can I use it to move someone to another room?
No. Invacare states the 9805P isn’t intended as a transportation device. It’s for lifting and lowering a person between surfaces such as a bed, wheelchair, commode or the floor.
Will it fit in my bedroom?
Measure first. Invacare lists it at 46.75″ long, 22″ to 42.25″ wide with the adjustable base legs and 17″ to 61″ high, and asks you to consider how it will fit between and move around your furniture.
Can I use a different sling with this lift?
Invacare lists the 9805P as compatible with its Premier, Reliant and Standard Series slings. Invacare doesn’t recommend accessories from other makers with its products, because they haven’t been tested by Invacare.
How do I wash the sling?
Follow the care instructions on the sling label. Invacare says the mesh fabric is washable and quick-drying, and that it works in wet and dry environments.
Does it need assembly?
Yes, some. The lift ships in one 83 lb box, and Invacare recommends that two people handle and assemble it. Follow the owner’s manual in the box.
What’s the warranty?
Ask us for the current Invacare warranty terms. Call 585-505-6665 and we’ll help with any warranty question or claim.

Shipping & Returns
Shipping & Return Policy
At MedCare Mobility, we understand that purchasing medical and mobility equipment is an important decision. Our goal is to make the ordering, delivery, and return process as clear and straightforward as possible.
Because many of the products we offer are large, specialized, or shipped directly from manufacturer and distributor warehouses, shipping and return requirements may vary somewhat by product and brand. The policy below explains what you can generally expect when ordering from MedCare Mobility.
Shipping & Order Processing
We ship medical and mobility equipment to customers throughout the United States. Orders are processed as quickly as possible, and tracking information is provided once available.
Processing Time
Most in-stock orders are processed within approximately 1–3 business days. Processing may include order verification, warehouse preparation, packaging, and coordination with the manufacturer or distributor.
Some specialty equipment, made-to-order products, oversized items, or products shipping directly from a manufacturer may require additional processing time. Any estimated processing or lead time shown on an individual product page should be considered part of the expected fulfillment timeframe for that item.
Transit & Delivery Time
Once shipped, many standard orders arrive within approximately 3–7 business days. Larger medical equipment, freight shipments, specialty products, and certain manufacturer-direct orders may require additional transit time.
Tracking information will generally be emailed once the shipment has been processed by the carrier. If you have questions regarding the status of your order, please contact us at info@medcaremobility.com.
Alaska, Hawaii & Special Shipping Areas
Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and certain remote or limited-access areas may be subject to additional shipping charges. If an additional charge is required after your order is reviewed, we will contact you before proceeding whenever additional payment is necessary.
Freight & Oversized Equipment
Hospital beds, patient lifts, large recliners, ramps, and other oversized medical equipment may ship by freight rather than standard parcel service. Unless a specific delivery service is stated on the product page or order, freight delivery does not automatically include inside delivery, assembly, installation, or removal of packaging.
30-Day Return Policy
We want you to feel comfortable ordering from MedCare Mobility. Most eligible products may be returned when a return is requested within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions and exclusions outlined below.
Eligible products generally include:
- Electric and power wheelchairs
- Manual and lightweight wheelchairs
- Mobility scooters
- Walkers and rollators
- Patient lifts
- Wheelchair ramps
- Hospital and homecare beds
- Eligible medical mattresses
- Geriatric and medical recliner chairs
- Overbed tables
- Bathroom benches and shower chairs
- Other eligible medical and mobility equipment
Return eligibility can vary by manufacturer and product type. Products specifically identified as non-returnable, custom, made-to-order, or otherwise subject to special return terms are governed by those terms.
Return Authorization
Please contact us before shipping any product back. Returns must first be approved and issued a Return Authorization (RA) and the appropriate return shipping address.
You may request a return by emailing info@medcaremobility.com or contacting our customer service team through the live chat on our website.
Please do not return merchandise to an address shown on the original shipping label unless specifically instructed to do so. Many products ship directly from manufacturer or distributor warehouses, and the correct return location may be different from the original shipping location.
Condition of Returned Merchandise
To qualify for a return and refund, the product must be returned:
- In brand-new and unused condition
- In its complete original manufacturer packaging
- With all manuals, components, hardware, accessories, and included materials
- Without damage, modification, assembly wear, stains, odors, or other signs of use
- In resalable condition upon inspection by the receiving warehouse or manufacturer
We strongly recommend keeping the original box, pallet, protective materials, and packaging until you are certain that you intend to keep the equipment. Large medical equipment can be difficult or impossible to return safely without its original packaging.
Restocking Fees
Approved returns are subject to a mandatory restocking fee, generally ranging from 15% to 20% of the applicable product price. The exact restocking percentage varies depending on the manufacturer, brand, and type of equipment being returned.
These restocking charges are assessed to us by the manufacturer or distributing warehouse when merchandise is returned. MedCare Mobility does not add the fee simply as a return penalty; when the manufacturer requires the charge, we must pass the applicable amount through as part of processing the return.
If you would like to know the applicable restocking percentage for a particular product before ordering, please contact us and we will be happy to help whenever that information is available from the manufacturer.
Return Shipping & Shipping Charges
The customer is responsible for shipping charges associated with the order when making a standard return.
Customers are responsible for arranging for the approved merchandise to be returned to the return address provided with the Return Authorization. In certain cases, we may be able to provide a prepaid return label or coordinate return transportation for your convenience. When provided, the applicable shipping cost may be deducted from the final refund.
Because some medical equipment is oversized or requires freight transportation, prepaid labels or carrier call tags may not be available for every product. Our customer service team will provide the available return instructions when your return is authorized.
Non-Returnable Products
For health, hygiene, safety, customization, and manufacturer-policy reasons, certain products are not eligible for standard returns.
We currently do not accept returns on:
- Parts & accessories
- Wheelchair cushions and support accessories
- Patient lift slings
- Custom or made-to-order products
- Products specifically identified as non-returnable on the product page
If a non-returnable product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us promptly. Non-returnable status does not prevent us from assisting with a legitimate shipping damage, defect, warranty, or fulfillment issue in accordance with the applicable manufacturer and carrier procedures.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
We take shipping damage seriously and will work with you to help resolve legitimate delivery issues.
If your product arrives damaged, please notify MedCare Mobility within 48 hours of delivery. Whenever possible, retain the shipping carton, pallet, packaging materials, and the product exactly as received and take clear photographs of the packaging and any visible damage.
Reporting damage promptly is important because carriers and manufacturers have limited timeframes for filing freight and shipping claims.
If you receive an incorrect product or believe there is a manufacturer defect, please contact us before returning or disposing of any merchandise or packaging so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.
Refused Deliveries
Please contact us before refusing a delivery unless the shipment has obvious significant freight damage and the carrier is documenting the damage at delivery.
A shipment that is refused for reasons unrelated to verified shipping damage may be treated as a standard return. Applicable restocking and shipping charges may therefore be deducted from the refund.
Return Shipping Deadline
Once a return has been approved and return instructions or a return label have been issued, the merchandise must be shipped within 72 hours unless MedCare Mobility provides different instructions in writing.
This is particularly important when a return is approaching the end of the applicable return period. Returns shipped outside the authorized timeframe may be refused by the manufacturer or warehouse and may no longer qualify for a refund.
Refund Processing
Refunds are processed after the returned merchandise has been received and inspected by the applicable warehouse or manufacturer and the return has been confirmed to meet the return requirements.
The applicable restocking fee, shipping charges associated with the order, and any other authorized return-related charges will be deducted from the amount eligible for refund.
If returned merchandise is used, damaged, incomplete, missing original packaging or components, or otherwise returned in a condition that prevents the manufacturer or warehouse from accepting it as new and resalable merchandise, the return may be refused or the refund may be reduced in accordance with the manufacturer’s assessment.
Custom & Made-to-Order Products
Products identified as custom, configured, made-to-order, special-order, or manufactured specifically for the customer cannot generally be canceled once production or manufacturer processing has begun and are not eligible for standard returns.
For custom products, cancellation may only be possible during the initial processing period and before production or customization begins. Because production schedules vary by manufacturer, we encourage customers to contact us immediately if a change is required.
If a custom product arrives damaged or has a legitimate manufacturing defect, we will work with the manufacturer to pursue the appropriate resolution, replacement components, repair, or other available remedy under the applicable manufacturer policy or warranty.
Questions Before Ordering?
Medical equipment can vary considerably in size, configuration, compatibility, and intended use. If you are unsure whether a product will work for your needs, we strongly encourage you to contact us before placing your order.
Our team is happy to help review product specifications, dimensions, options, compatibility, and available manufacturer information so you can make a more informed purchasing decision and reduce the possibility of needing a return.
For shipping, return, or product questions, contact us at info@medcaremobility.com or speak with us through the live chat on our website.
