Description
ComfyGO MAJESTIC IQ-8000 Folding Electric Wheelchair – Lightweight Power Wheelchair, 330 lb Capacity
The ComfyGO MAJESTIC IQ-8000 Folding Electric Wheelchair is built for people who want powered mobility without giving up portability, travel convenience or everyday comfort. This lightweight power wheelchair combines a folding aircraft-grade aluminum frame, dual 250W motors, removable lithium-ion battery options, remote caregiver control and up to a 330 lb weight capacity in a chair designed to fold in seconds for transportation and storage.
For someone searching for a folding electric wheelchair that can be used around the home, taken shopping, loaded into a vehicle and brought along while traveling, the IQ-8000 brings those needs together in one versatile design. Choose the standard 17.5-inch seat or the wider 20-inch IQ-8000 Plus, then select either the travel-friendly 12Ah battery with up to 13 miles of range or the extended-range 20Ah battery with up to 19 miles of range.
What makes the IQ-8000 especially practical is how much functionality is packed into a relatively compact folding wheelchair. You get 500 watts of combined motor power, a 360-degree joystick that can mount on either armrest, intelligent electromagnetic braking, solid 8-inch front and 12-inch rear tires, adjustable anti-tip bars, flip-up armrests, a comfortable memory-foam cushion with cooling gel inserts and a remote controller that lets a caregiver operate the chair from up to 30 feet away.
Why Choose the MAJESTIC IQ-8000 Folding Electric Wheelchair?
The IQ-8000 is a strong choice for someone who needs an electric wheelchair for everyday mobility but does not want a large, difficult-to-transport power chair. Its folding frame gives you the powered mobility of an electric wheelchair in a design that can be collapsed in approximately 3 seconds for storage or transportation.
The standard 17.5-inch IQ-8000 weighs approximately 52.9 lbs without the battery, while the wider 20-inch IQ-8000 Plus weighs approximately 55 lbs without the battery. That makes it considerably easier to manage for travel than many full-size power wheelchairs while still supporting up to 330 lbs in the non-reclining configuration.
It is particularly well suited to users and families asking questions such as, “What electric wheelchair folds for a car?”, “What lightweight power wheelchair can I travel with?”, “Can I get a folding power wheelchair with a wider seat?”, or “Is there an electric wheelchair a caregiver can control remotely?” The IQ-8000 is designed around exactly these everyday mobility needs.
Folds in Approximately 3 Seconds for Travel and Storage
One of the biggest advantages of the IQ-8000 is its quick-folding design. Instead of traveling with a traditional full-size power wheelchair that may require specialized vehicle equipment, the IQ-8000 collapses into a much more compact configuration in approximately 3 seconds.
The standard 17.5-inch model measures approximately 14 inches wide × 23.5 inches deep × 30 inches high when folded. The wider IQ-8000 Plus folds to approximately 16 inches wide × 26 inches deep × 30 inches high.
This compact profile makes the chair practical for many users who need to load their wheelchair into an SUV or compatible car trunk, store it at home, or reduce the amount of space their mobility equipment occupies when it is not being used. Vehicle cargo spaces vary, so always compare the folded dimensions with your specific vehicle before purchasing.
Two Seat Widths: 17.5″ or 20″ IQ-8000 Plus
Fit matters just as much as portability. Rather than forcing every user into one seating size, the MAJESTIC IQ-8000 is available with two seating-width options.
The standard IQ-8000 provides a 17.5-inch seating width and measures approximately 23.5 inches across overall. The IQ-8000 Plus provides a wider 20-inch seating area and measures approximately 26 inches across overall.
An optional armrest extension kit can provide additional space, extending the seating configuration up to approximately 22 inches. This gives shoppers more flexibility to choose a chair based on body dimensions, comfort preferences, doorway clearance and available space rather than choosing solely by weight capacity.
330 lb Weight Capacity Without a Heavy Full-Size Chair
The non-reclining IQ-8000 and IQ-8000 Plus support users weighing up to 330 lbs. This provides substantial capacity while preserving the folding, travel-oriented design that makes the chair easier to transport and store.
The standard 17.5-inch model weighs approximately 52.9 lbs without its battery, and the 20-inch IQ-8000 Plus weighs approximately 55 lbs without its battery. The 12Ah battery adds approximately 6 lbs, while the 20Ah battery adds approximately 7 lbs.
If the optional automatic reclining configuration is selected, chair weight increases by approximately 6 lbs and the maximum user capacity changes to 310 lbs. This distinction is important when selecting the configuration that best matches the user’s weight and mobility needs.
Dual 250W Motors Deliver 500W Combined Power
A portable wheelchair still needs enough power to handle real everyday environments. The IQ-8000 uses two independent 250W motors for a combined 500 watts of motor power.
The dual-motor drive system provides the power needed for common indoor and outdoor mobility, including paved surfaces, brick, low grass, compacted dirt and gravel when conditions are appropriate. Motor torque is rated at 1.1 Nm, and the chair is designed for slopes of up to approximately 6 degrees.
Terrain, surface conditions, slope, user weight and traction should always be considered when operating any power wheelchair outdoors.
Up to 13 or 19 Miles of Driving Range
The IQ-8000 gives you a choice between two removable lithium-ion battery configurations, allowing you to prioritize either travel compatibility or extended driving range.
The standard 24V 12Ah (288Wh) lithium-ion battery provides up to approximately 13 miles of driving range. For users who want to travel farther between charges, the optional 24V 20Ah (480Wh) battery extends the maximum range to approximately 19 miles.
Actual range varies based on user weight, speed, terrain, slopes, temperature, weather, driving habits and other operating conditions. For that reason, the advertised range should be viewed as a maximum under favorable conditions rather than a guaranteed distance on every trip.
12Ah Travel Battery or 20Ah Extended-Range Battery
If airline or cruise travel is a priority, the 12Ah 288Wh battery is the appropriate IQ-8000 battery option to consider. It is designed for travel and is accepted by many major airlines and cruise lines, subject to each carrier’s individual battery and mobility-device policies.
The larger 20Ah 480Wh battery provides the longer up-to-19-mile range but is not intended as the airline/cruise battery option. Travelers should select the battery configuration based on how they expect to use the wheelchair.
Airline and cruise requirements can vary and may change. Always contact your specific carrier before traveling to confirm its current wheelchair and lithium-battery requirements rather than assuming approval based solely on the chair or battery specification.
Removable Lithium Battery With Flexible Charging
The battery can be charged while installed in the wheelchair or removed and charged separately. This is especially convenient when the chair is stored in a garage, vehicle or another location that is not close to a convenient electrical outlet.
Charging can be performed through the joystick controller or directly through the battery. A standard 24V 2A charger is included, and typical charging time for an empty battery is approximately 6–8 hours. A compatible 24V 3A charger is available separately for faster charging of the 20Ah battery.
360° Joystick Can Mount Left or Right
The IQ-8000 uses an intuitive 360-degree joystick controller for directional driving. The controller includes power, horn, speed-up and speed-down controls along with a visible battery-level indicator.
Five selectable speed levels allow the user to choose approximately 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% or 100% of the chair’s maximum speed. Top speed is limited to approximately 4 mph, allowing the user to select a slower setting for tighter indoor environments and a higher setting where appropriate.
The joystick is normally positioned on the right armrest but can be moved to the left armrest. This makes the IQ-8000 adaptable for users who prefer or need left-hand operation.
Remote Control Lets a Caregiver Drive the Chair
One of the IQ-8000’s most useful features for families and caregivers is its included remote controller. The remote can be used to maneuver the wheelchair from a distance of up to approximately 30 feet.
This can be especially helpful when a family member or caregiver occasionally needs to reposition or operate the chair for the user. The remote can control movement, speed and the horn, and can also control reclining on compatible reclining configurations.
The wheelchair itself must be powered on before the remote is turned on so the controller can communicate with the chair.
Intelligent Electromagnetic Braking
The IQ-8000 uses intelligent electromagnetic brakes integrated into the motors. The braking system is designed to provide responsive deceleration and help keep the chair from freely rolling when power is released.
This is particularly useful during normal stop-and-go driving and when navigating appropriate inclines. The system works automatically with the powered drivetrain rather than requiring the rider to operate conventional hand brakes during normal electric operation.
Solid 8″ Front and 12″ Rear Tires
The IQ-8000 comes standard with 8-inch solid front tires and 12-inch solid rear tires. Because the tires are solid, users do not have to maintain air pressure or deal with the type of flat tire associated with pneumatic tubes.
The larger rear wheels work together with the dual-motor drivetrain to support everyday use across a variety of appropriate surfaces. Pneumatic tires may also be available as an optional configuration.
Adjustable Anti-Tip Bars for Added Stability
Adjustable anti-tip bars are included to provide additional rear stability when operating the chair. They are particularly important when navigating changes in grade or uneven surfaces where maintaining proper wheelchair stability becomes even more important.
The chair is rated for slopes up to approximately 6 degrees, but users should always approach slopes, transitions and uneven surfaces conservatively and within the operating guidance for the wheelchair.
Memory-Foam Cushion With Cooling Gel Inserts
A power wheelchair is not only about motors and range—the seating surface matters when the chair is used throughout the day. The IQ-8000 features a memory-foam cushion with cooling gel inserts designed to provide additional seated comfort.
The armrests flip upward to create easier side access for transfers and to help position the wheelchair closer to a table or other surface. An optional leather cushion and backrest configuration is also available for users who prioritize an easy-to-clean seating surface.
Aircraft-Grade Aluminum Alloy Frame
The IQ-8000’s aircraft-grade aluminum alloy frame is a major reason the wheelchair can combine strength with a relatively manageable travel weight. Aluminum provides the structural support needed for everyday use while helping avoid the excessive weight associated with many traditional power-chair frames.
The non-reclining models support up to 330 lbs while maintaining a base chair weight of approximately 52.9 lbs for the standard model or 55 lbs for the Plus model before the battery is installed.
Can the IQ-8000 Be Pushed Manually?
Yes. If the battery is depleted or the wheelchair needs to be moved without electric power, the IQ-8000 can be placed into freewheel mode.
With the power turned off, both motors can be disengaged using the motor release levers. This allows a caregiver to push the wheelchair manually when necessary. The motors should be properly re-engaged before returning to powered operation.
Standard IQ-8000 vs. IQ-8000 Plus
The biggest difference between the standard IQ-8000 and IQ-8000 Plus is seat and overall chair width.
The standard model provides a 17.5-inch seat, measures approximately 23.5 inches wide, and weighs approximately 52.9 lbs without the battery. Its overall dimensions are approximately 37″ L × 23.5″ W × 37″ H, and it folds to approximately 23.5″ × 14″ × 30″.
The IQ-8000 Plus provides a wider 20-inch seat, measures approximately 26 inches wide, and weighs approximately 55 lbs without the battery. Its overall dimensions are approximately 39″ L × 26″ W × 38.5″ H, and it folds to approximately 26″ × 16″ × 30″.
If maneuverability through narrower doorways and smaller spaces is the priority, the standard model’s narrower profile may be preferable. If additional seating room is more important, the IQ-8000 Plus provides the wider seating area. Always measure the user and the narrowest doorways or passages the wheelchair will regularly encounter.
Is the IQ-8000 a Good Folding Electric Wheelchair for Travel?
The IQ-8000 is specifically designed around travel and portability. Its relatively lightweight aluminum construction, removable battery, approximately 3-second folding system and compact folded dimensions make it considerably easier to transport than many traditional full-size power wheelchairs.
For air and cruise travel, choose the 12Ah 288Wh battery and verify the carrier’s current mobility-device and lithium-battery requirements before departure. For road trips and everyday use where maximum driving distance is more important, the optional 20Ah battery increases the maximum range to approximately 19 miles.
For vehicle travel, compare the wheelchair’s folded dimensions and lifting weight with your vehicle and the physical abilities of the person who will be loading it. “Folding” does not automatically mean that every person can independently lift the wheelchair into every vehicle.
Who Is the MAJESTIC IQ-8000 Best For?
The IQ-8000 is especially well suited to someone who wants a lightweight power wheelchair for a combination of home, community and travel use rather than a large power chair intended primarily to remain in one location.
It can be a particularly strong fit for users who want a chair that folds for vehicle transportation, families who value remote caregiver operation, travelers who need a removable travel-battery option, and users who want to choose between a narrower 17.5-inch seat and a wider 20-inch seating configuration.
It is also worth considering for someone who wants enough motor power for appropriate outdoor surfaces without moving into a substantially heavier mobility platform. With dual 250W motors, solid tires, electromagnetic braking and adjustable anti-tip bars, the IQ-8000 is designed to bridge the gap between portable travel convenience and everyday powered mobility.
What Should You Measure Before Buying the IQ-8000?
Start with the user. Choose between the 17.5-inch standard seat and 20-inch Plus seat based on proper fit rather than simply choosing the smallest chair. Weight capacity should also be considered: the non-reclining models support up to 330 lbs, while reclining configurations support up to 310 lbs.
Next, measure the narrowest doorway, hallway or other passage the chair will regularly use. The standard IQ-8000 is approximately 23.5 inches wide, while the Plus is approximately 26 inches wide.
Finally, if the wheelchair will regularly travel by car, compare your trunk or cargo opening with the chair’s folded dimensions and consider who will be lifting it. This gives you a much more useful answer than simply asking whether a compact folding wheelchair “fits in a car.”
Common Mobility Problem → IQ-8000 Solution
Problem: You need powered mobility for everyday independence, but a conventional power wheelchair is too large or difficult to transport. You also want enough range for outings and a chair that a family member or caregiver can assist with when necessary.
IQ-8000 Solution: A folding electric wheelchair with dual 250W motors, up to 330 lb capacity, approximately 3-second folding, removable 12Ah or 20Ah lithium battery options, 17.5-inch or 20-inch seating, electromagnetic braking and included remote caregiver control.
For someone asking, “What is a lightweight electric wheelchair that folds for the car but still has enough power and range for everyday use?”, the MAJESTIC IQ-8000 is designed specifically around that combination of portability, powered mobility and practical everyday features.

Shipping & Returns
Shipping & Return Policy
At MedCare Mobility, we understand that purchasing medical and mobility equipment is an important decision. Our goal is to make the ordering, delivery, and return process as clear and straightforward as possible.
Because many of the products we offer are large, specialized, or shipped directly from manufacturer and distributor warehouses, shipping and return requirements may vary somewhat by product and brand. The policy below explains what you can generally expect when ordering from MedCare Mobility.
Shipping & Order Processing
We ship medical and mobility equipment to customers throughout the United States. Orders are processed as quickly as possible, and tracking information is provided once available.
Processing Time
Most in-stock orders are processed within approximately 1–3 business days. Processing may include order verification, warehouse preparation, packaging, and coordination with the manufacturer or distributor.
Some specialty equipment, made-to-order products, oversized items, or products shipping directly from a manufacturer may require additional processing time. Any estimated processing or lead time shown on an individual product page should be considered part of the expected fulfillment timeframe for that item.
Transit & Delivery Time
Once shipped, many standard orders arrive within approximately 3–7 business days. Larger medical equipment, freight shipments, specialty products, and certain manufacturer-direct orders may require additional transit time.
Tracking information will generally be emailed once the shipment has been processed by the carrier. If you have questions regarding the status of your order, please contact us at info@medcaremobility.com.
Alaska, Hawaii & Special Shipping Areas
Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and certain remote or limited-access areas may be subject to additional shipping charges. If an additional charge is required after your order is reviewed, we will contact you before proceeding whenever additional payment is necessary.
Freight & Oversized Equipment
Hospital beds, patient lifts, large recliners, ramps, and other oversized medical equipment may ship by freight rather than standard parcel service. Unless a specific delivery service is stated on the product page or order, freight delivery does not automatically include inside delivery, assembly, installation, or removal of packaging.
30-Day Return Policy
We want you to feel comfortable ordering from MedCare Mobility. Most eligible products may be returned when a return is requested within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions and exclusions outlined below.
Eligible products generally include:
- Electric and power wheelchairs
- Manual and lightweight wheelchairs
- Mobility scooters
- Walkers and rollators
- Patient lifts
- Wheelchair ramps
- Hospital and homecare beds
- Eligible medical mattresses
- Geriatric and medical recliner chairs
- Overbed tables
- Bathroom benches and shower chairs
- Other eligible medical and mobility equipment
Return eligibility can vary by manufacturer and product type. Products specifically identified as non-returnable, custom, made-to-order, or otherwise subject to special return terms are governed by those terms.
Return Authorization
Please contact us before shipping any product back. Returns must first be approved and issued a Return Authorization (RA) and the appropriate return shipping address.
You may request a return by emailing info@medcaremobility.com or contacting our customer service team through the live chat on our website.
Please do not return merchandise to an address shown on the original shipping label unless specifically instructed to do so. Many products ship directly from manufacturer or distributor warehouses, and the correct return location may be different from the original shipping location.
Condition of Returned Merchandise
To qualify for a return and refund, the product must be returned:
- In brand-new and unused condition
- In its complete original manufacturer packaging
- With all manuals, components, hardware, accessories, and included materials
- Without damage, modification, assembly wear, stains, odors, or other signs of use
- In resalable condition upon inspection by the receiving warehouse or manufacturer
We strongly recommend keeping the original box, pallet, protective materials, and packaging until you are certain that you intend to keep the equipment. Large medical equipment can be difficult or impossible to return safely without its original packaging.
Restocking Fees
Approved returns are subject to a mandatory restocking fee, generally ranging from 15% to 20% of the applicable product price. The exact restocking percentage varies depending on the manufacturer, brand, and type of equipment being returned.
These restocking charges are assessed to us by the manufacturer or distributing warehouse when merchandise is returned. MedCare Mobility does not add the fee simply as a return penalty; when the manufacturer requires the charge, we must pass the applicable amount through as part of processing the return.
If you would like to know the applicable restocking percentage for a particular product before ordering, please contact us and we will be happy to help whenever that information is available from the manufacturer.
Return Shipping & Shipping Charges
The customer is responsible for shipping charges associated with the order when making a standard return.
Customers are responsible for arranging for the approved merchandise to be returned to the return address provided with the Return Authorization. In certain cases, we may be able to provide a prepaid return label or coordinate return transportation for your convenience. When provided, the applicable shipping cost may be deducted from the final refund.
Because some medical equipment is oversized or requires freight transportation, prepaid labels or carrier call tags may not be available for every product. Our customer service team will provide the available return instructions when your return is authorized.
Non-Returnable Products
For health, hygiene, safety, customization, and manufacturer-policy reasons, certain products are not eligible for standard returns.
We currently do not accept returns on:
- Parts & accessories
- Wheelchair cushions and support accessories
- Patient lift slings
- Custom or made-to-order products
- Products specifically identified as non-returnable on the product page
If a non-returnable product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us promptly. Non-returnable status does not prevent us from assisting with a legitimate shipping damage, defect, warranty, or fulfillment issue in accordance with the applicable manufacturer and carrier procedures.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
We take shipping damage seriously and will work with you to help resolve legitimate delivery issues.
If your product arrives damaged, please notify MedCare Mobility within 48 hours of delivery. Whenever possible, retain the shipping carton, pallet, packaging materials, and the product exactly as received and take clear photographs of the packaging and any visible damage.
Reporting damage promptly is important because carriers and manufacturers have limited timeframes for filing freight and shipping claims.
If you receive an incorrect product or believe there is a manufacturer defect, please contact us before returning or disposing of any merchandise or packaging so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.
Refused Deliveries
Please contact us before refusing a delivery unless the shipment has obvious significant freight damage and the carrier is documenting the damage at delivery.
A shipment that is refused for reasons unrelated to verified shipping damage may be treated as a standard return. Applicable restocking and shipping charges may therefore be deducted from the refund.
Return Shipping Deadline
Once a return has been approved and return instructions or a return label have been issued, the merchandise must be shipped within 72 hours unless MedCare Mobility provides different instructions in writing.
This is particularly important when a return is approaching the end of the applicable return period. Returns shipped outside the authorized timeframe may be refused by the manufacturer or warehouse and may no longer qualify for a refund.
Refund Processing
Refunds are processed after the returned merchandise has been received and inspected by the applicable warehouse or manufacturer and the return has been confirmed to meet the return requirements.
The applicable restocking fee, shipping charges associated with the order, and any other authorized return-related charges will be deducted from the amount eligible for refund.
If returned merchandise is used, damaged, incomplete, missing original packaging or components, or otherwise returned in a condition that prevents the manufacturer or warehouse from accepting it as new and resalable merchandise, the return may be refused or the refund may be reduced in accordance with the manufacturer’s assessment.
Custom & Made-to-Order Products
Products identified as custom, configured, made-to-order, special-order, or manufactured specifically for the customer cannot generally be canceled once production or manufacturer processing has begun and are not eligible for standard returns.
For custom products, cancellation may only be possible during the initial processing period and before production or customization begins. Because production schedules vary by manufacturer, we encourage customers to contact us immediately if a change is required.
If a custom product arrives damaged or has a legitimate manufacturing defect, we will work with the manufacturer to pursue the appropriate resolution, replacement components, repair, or other available remedy under the applicable manufacturer policy or warranty.
Questions Before Ordering?
Medical equipment can vary considerably in size, configuration, compatibility, and intended use. If you are unsure whether a product will work for your needs, we strongly encourage you to contact us before placing your order.
Our team is happy to help review product specifications, dimensions, options, compatibility, and available manufacturer information so you can make a more informed purchasing decision and reduce the possibility of needing a return.
For shipping, return, or product questions, contact us at info@medcaremobility.com or speak with us through the live chat on our website.
