Description
Diestco Standard Scooter Cover – Light Nylon Mobility Scooter Storage Cover in Mini, Regular, Large and Super Size
The Diestco Standard Scooter Cover is the light, easy-to-handle cover for a scooter that lives on the porch, in the carport or in the garage. It’s made of 400-denier nylon with a urethane backing and a DWR (durable water repellent) outer coating, so it keeps rain, dust and dirt off the seat, tiller and controls between rides.
Diestco makes this one with a specific person in mind: someone with limited hand strength or who can’t lift much. It’s a lightweight scooter cover, so it’s easy to throw over the scooter and pull off again. An elastic drawcord with a cord lock snugs it around the bottom, and grommets let you add bungee cords or other tie-downs when it’s windy.
As a mobility scooter storage cover it comes in four sizes, from the Mini for small travel scooters up to the Super Size for big four-wheel models. Pick the size in the dropdown above, and if you’re not sure which one fits, send us your scooter’s make and model before you order and we’ll match it for you.
Why Choose the Diestco Standard Scooter Cover?
It’s the cover for everyday storage, not hard travel. The nylon is lighter than Diestco’s heavy duty fabric, which matters if you’re putting it on and taking it off every day by yourself. The drawcord closes it with one pull, and the cord lock holds it there. For a scooter parked outside your door or in a shared garage, that’s usually all you need.
If the scooter rides on a hitch carrier behind the car, look at the Diestco Heavy Duty Scooter Cover instead. Diestco calls the heavy duty version its most durable cover for transporting behind a motor vehicle.
Key Features
✔ Light 400-Denier Nylon Fabric
✔ Urethane Backing, DWR Outer Coating
✔ Elastic Drawcord with Cord Lock
✔ Grommets for Bungee Cords
✔ Easy to Handle with Limited Strength
✔ 4 Sizes: Mini to Super Size
How the Cover Stays On
There are no straps or slots to fuss with. The standard cover closes with an elastic drawcord and cord lock along the bottom edge: drop it over the scooter, pull the cord snug under the frame and slide the lock up. Grommets around the edge give you anchor points for bungee cords or other tie-down material when you want more hold, for example on a windy porch.
Because it’s a full cover with no openings, it isn’t made for a scooter that’s strapped down on a carrier with the straps running through the cover. For that, Diestco makes a 3-slot version with openings for tie-down straps: the Diestco 3-Slot Scooter Cover.
Choosing Your Options
There’s one dropdown: Size. Diestco’s photos show one size because the four covers look almost the same and differ only in measurements. Match your scooter to the cover size using the numbers below, or send us your make and model and we’ll do it for you.
| Size / Diestco code | Height x Width x Length | Circumference |
|---|---|---|
| Mini V1400 |
30″H x 16″W x 42″L | 116″ |
| Regular V1110 |
33″H x 18″W x 55″L | 146″ |
| Large V1120 |
33″H x 28″W x 55″L | 166″ |
| Super Size V1130 |
46″H x 33″W x 64″L | 194″ |
Send us your scooter make and model before ordering so we match the size. Call us at 585-505-6665 or use our contact form, and we’ll check it against Diestco’s chart before your cover ships.

Standard vs. Heavy Duty Scooter Cover
Both come in the same four sizes with the same measurements. The difference is the fabric and how they close. The Standard is 400-denier nylon with a urethane backing, closes with a drawcord and cord lock, and is the lighter one to handle. The Heavy Duty is 600×300 polyester with a PVC backing, closes with a 1″ webbing belt and buckle, and has extra loops for tying down. For storage at home, the Standard is the easy pick. For towing on a carrier, go Heavy Duty.
Using It on the Road
Diestco’s rule for the road: always secure the cover with bungee cords or rope over the top (not included) when the scooter rides on a carrier behind a car. That takes up the extra room under the cover and stops it from billowing at speed. A cover that flaps hard at highway speed wears out much faster, and Diestco states that damage from misuse isn’t covered under any warranty.
Common Problem → Standard Scooter Cover Solution
Problem: The scooter sits on the porch and the seat is wet or covered in pollen every morning.
Solution: Drop the cover over it at night, pull the drawcord and it’s dry and clean when you go out.
Problem: Dad can’t wrestle a heavy tarp over his scooter by himself.
Solution: Diestco made the standard cover light for exactly this, for people with dexterity issues or who are limited in what they can lift.
Problem: You don’t know if your scooter is a Regular or a Large.
Solution: Send us the make and model and we’ll match it to Diestco’s size chart before you order.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Diestco Standard Scooter Cover?
It’s a lightweight full cover for a mobility scooter, made of 400-denier nylon with a urethane backing and a DWR outer coating. Diestco designed it for storing a scooter on the porch or in the garage, and it comes in Mini, Regular, Large and Super Size.
Which size do I need?
Match your scooter’s height, width and length to the size chart on this page. The easiest way is to send us your scooter’s make and model before you order and we’ll match it to the right Diestco size.
How does the cover stay on?
An elastic drawcord with a cord lock pulls the bottom edge snug under the scooter. Grommets around the edge let you add bungee cords or other tie-downs for extra hold.
Can I use it while the scooter is on a car carrier?
Yes, but only if you secure it. Diestco says to always tie bungee cords or rope over the top of the cover (not included) on the road, so it doesn’t billow at speed. For regular towing, Diestco’s heavy duty cover is the more durable choice.
Is it waterproof?
Diestco doesn’t use that word. It says the cover has a urethane backing and a DWR outer coating and gives great protection from the elements. For a scooter that stays outside all the time, give us a call and we’ll talk it through.
Is it heavy?
No. Diestco describes it as lightweight, made for people with dexterity issues or who are limited in the amount of weight they can lift. Diestco doesn’t publish a weight for each size; ask us if you need it.
Does it have openings for tie-down straps?
No. It’s a full cover with no slots. If your scooter is strapped down on a carrier and you want the straps to come through the cover, look at the Diestco 3-Slot Scooter Cover.
Do all four sizes look the same?
Yes. Diestco’s photos represent all of the scooter covers because they differ only in size and look almost identical.
What’s the difference between this and the heavy duty cover?
Same four sizes, different build. The standard cover is lighter nylon with a drawcord. The heavy duty cover is 600×300 polyester with a PVC backing, a 1″ webbing belt and buckle, and extra loops, and Diestco calls it its most durable cover for transporting behind a motor vehicle.
Is there a warranty?
Diestco states that damage from misuse, such as a cover left flapping unsecured at highway speed, isn’t covered under any warranty. Call us for the current warranty terms on the cover itself.

Shipping & Returns
Shipping & Return Policy
At MedCare Mobility, we understand that purchasing medical and mobility equipment is an important decision. Our goal is to make the ordering, delivery, and return process as clear and straightforward as possible.
Because many of the products we offer are large, specialized, or shipped directly from manufacturer and distributor warehouses, shipping and return requirements may vary somewhat by product and brand. The policy below explains what you can generally expect when ordering from MedCare Mobility.
Shipping & Order Processing
We ship medical and mobility equipment to customers throughout the United States. Orders are processed as quickly as possible, and tracking information is provided once available.
Processing Time
Most in-stock orders are processed within approximately 1–3 business days. Processing may include order verification, warehouse preparation, packaging, and coordination with the manufacturer or distributor.
Some specialty equipment, made-to-order products, oversized items, or products shipping directly from a manufacturer may require additional processing time. Any estimated processing or lead time shown on an individual product page should be considered part of the expected fulfillment timeframe for that item.
Transit & Delivery Time
Once shipped, many standard orders arrive within approximately 3–7 business days. Larger medical equipment, freight shipments, specialty products, and certain manufacturer-direct orders may require additional transit time.
Tracking information will generally be emailed once the shipment has been processed by the carrier. If you have questions regarding the status of your order, please contact us at info@medcaremobility.com.
Alaska, Hawaii & Special Shipping Areas
Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and certain remote or limited-access areas may be subject to additional shipping charges. If an additional charge is required after your order is reviewed, we will contact you before proceeding whenever additional payment is necessary.
Freight & Oversized Equipment
Hospital beds, patient lifts, large recliners, ramps, and other oversized medical equipment may ship by freight rather than standard parcel service. Unless a specific delivery service is stated on the product page or order, freight delivery does not automatically include inside delivery, assembly, installation, or removal of packaging.
30-Day Return Policy
We want you to feel comfortable ordering from MedCare Mobility. Most eligible products may be returned when a return is requested within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions and exclusions outlined below.
Eligible products generally include:
- Electric and power wheelchairs
- Manual and lightweight wheelchairs
- Mobility scooters
- Walkers and rollators
- Patient lifts
- Wheelchair ramps
- Hospital and homecare beds
- Eligible medical mattresses
- Geriatric and medical recliner chairs
- Overbed tables
- Bathroom benches and shower chairs
- Other eligible medical and mobility equipment
Return eligibility can vary by manufacturer and product type. Products specifically identified as non-returnable, custom, made-to-order, or otherwise subject to special return terms are governed by those terms.
Return Authorization
Please contact us before shipping any product back. Returns must first be approved and issued a Return Authorization (RA) and the appropriate return shipping address.
You may request a return by emailing info@medcaremobility.com or contacting our customer service team through the live chat on our website.
Please do not return merchandise to an address shown on the original shipping label unless specifically instructed to do so. Many products ship directly from manufacturer or distributor warehouses, and the correct return location may be different from the original shipping location.
Condition of Returned Merchandise
To qualify for a return and refund, the product must be returned:
- In brand-new and unused condition
- In its complete original manufacturer packaging
- With all manuals, components, hardware, accessories, and included materials
- Without damage, modification, assembly wear, stains, odors, or other signs of use
- In resalable condition upon inspection by the receiving warehouse or manufacturer
We strongly recommend keeping the original box, pallet, protective materials, and packaging until you are certain that you intend to keep the equipment. Large medical equipment can be difficult or impossible to return safely without its original packaging.
Restocking Fees
Approved returns are subject to a mandatory restocking fee, generally ranging from 15% to 20% of the applicable product price. The exact restocking percentage varies depending on the manufacturer, brand, and type of equipment being returned.
These restocking charges are assessed to us by the manufacturer or distributing warehouse when merchandise is returned. MedCare Mobility does not add the fee simply as a return penalty; when the manufacturer requires the charge, we must pass the applicable amount through as part of processing the return.
If you would like to know the applicable restocking percentage for a particular product before ordering, please contact us and we will be happy to help whenever that information is available from the manufacturer.
Return Shipping & Shipping Charges
The customer is responsible for shipping charges associated with the order when making a standard return.
Customers are responsible for arranging for the approved merchandise to be returned to the return address provided with the Return Authorization. In certain cases, we may be able to provide a prepaid return label or coordinate return transportation for your convenience. When provided, the applicable shipping cost may be deducted from the final refund.
Because some medical equipment is oversized or requires freight transportation, prepaid labels or carrier call tags may not be available for every product. Our customer service team will provide the available return instructions when your return is authorized.
Non-Returnable Products
For health, hygiene, safety, customization, and manufacturer-policy reasons, certain products are not eligible for standard returns.
We currently do not accept returns on:
- Parts & accessories
- Wheelchair cushions and support accessories
- Patient lift slings
- Custom or made-to-order products
- Products specifically identified as non-returnable on the product page
If a non-returnable product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us promptly. Non-returnable status does not prevent us from assisting with a legitimate shipping damage, defect, warranty, or fulfillment issue in accordance with the applicable manufacturer and carrier procedures.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
We take shipping damage seriously and will work with you to help resolve legitimate delivery issues.
If your product arrives damaged, please notify MedCare Mobility within 48 hours of delivery. Whenever possible, retain the shipping carton, pallet, packaging materials, and the product exactly as received and take clear photographs of the packaging and any visible damage.
Reporting damage promptly is important because carriers and manufacturers have limited timeframes for filing freight and shipping claims.
If you receive an incorrect product or believe there is a manufacturer defect, please contact us before returning or disposing of any merchandise or packaging so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.
Refused Deliveries
Please contact us before refusing a delivery unless the shipment has obvious significant freight damage and the carrier is documenting the damage at delivery.
A shipment that is refused for reasons unrelated to verified shipping damage may be treated as a standard return. Applicable restocking and shipping charges may therefore be deducted from the refund.
Return Shipping Deadline
Once a return has been approved and return instructions or a return label have been issued, the merchandise must be shipped within 72 hours unless MedCare Mobility provides different instructions in writing.
This is particularly important when a return is approaching the end of the applicable return period. Returns shipped outside the authorized timeframe may be refused by the manufacturer or warehouse and may no longer qualify for a refund.
Refund Processing
Refunds are processed after the returned merchandise has been received and inspected by the applicable warehouse or manufacturer and the return has been confirmed to meet the return requirements.
The applicable restocking fee, shipping charges associated with the order, and any other authorized return-related charges will be deducted from the amount eligible for refund.
If returned merchandise is used, damaged, incomplete, missing original packaging or components, or otherwise returned in a condition that prevents the manufacturer or warehouse from accepting it as new and resalable merchandise, the return may be refused or the refund may be reduced in accordance with the manufacturer’s assessment.
Custom & Made-to-Order Products
Products identified as custom, configured, made-to-order, special-order, or manufactured specifically for the customer cannot generally be canceled once production or manufacturer processing has begun and are not eligible for standard returns.
For custom products, cancellation may only be possible during the initial processing period and before production or customization begins. Because production schedules vary by manufacturer, we encourage customers to contact us immediately if a change is required.
If a custom product arrives damaged or has a legitimate manufacturing defect, we will work with the manufacturer to pursue the appropriate resolution, replacement components, repair, or other available remedy under the applicable manufacturer policy or warranty.
Questions Before Ordering?
Medical equipment can vary considerably in size, configuration, compatibility, and intended use. If you are unsure whether a product will work for your needs, we strongly encourage you to contact us before placing your order.
Our team is happy to help review product specifications, dimensions, options, compatibility, and available manufacturer information so you can make a more informed purchasing decision and reduce the possibility of needing a return.
For shipping, return, or product questions, contact us at info@medcaremobility.com or speak with us through the live chat on our website.
