A Career Shaped by Real Conversations With Patients, Families and Care Teams
My path into home medical equipment began in 2015, when I was given the opportunity to serve as a team leader and customer support professional for 1-800 Wheelchair.
Over nearly seven years, I worked directly with patients, family members, caregivers and professional care teams facing an enormous range of mobility and homecare needs. I handled thousands of support calls, customer questions and service requests involving wheelchairs, walkers, patient lifts, hospital beds, bathroom safety products, pressure-relief equipment and other daily living solutions.
Many of those conversations took place during difficult transitions. A patient might be returning home after a hospital stay. A family might suddenly be caring for an aging parent. A caregiver might be trying to perform a transfer safely without knowing which type of equipment would work in the home.
Those experiences taught me that people rarely need another complicated product description. They need someone to explain the differences clearly, ask the right questions and help them understand how a decision may affect safety, comfort, independence and everyday quality of life.
After leaving that position, I continued to feel pulled toward the work. I had seen how costly, stressful and potentially unsafe the wrong equipment decision could become—and how meaningful it was when a family finally understood what would work for its situation.
I have always had a genuine love for journaling, researching and writing. I ultimately combined those interests with my industry experience to create detailed educational resources that can help more people than I could ever reach through one conversation at a time.
“My goal is not simply to describe medical equipment. It is to help people understand their options well enough to make a safer and more confident decision.”

Resources are created for patients, families, caregivers, discharge planners and professional care teams who need clear information without unnecessary industry language.
Real-World Questions
Topics begin with recurring questions, challenges and points of confusion experienced by patients and caregivers.
Authoritative Research
Relevant government resources, healthcare organizations, clinical publications and safety guidance are reviewed where appropriate.
Product Documentation
Manufacturer specifications, operating manuals, compatibility information and intended use cases are carefully compared.
Clear Practical Writing
Technical information is translated into understandable guidance, comparisons, checklists and decision-making considerations.
