Description

VOCIC AX08 Bath Lift Chair & Floor Lift – 300 lb Electric Elderly Lift Assist

The VOCIC AX08 bath lift chair is a compact powered lifting device designed to help older adults, people with reduced mobility, and caregivers manage one of the most difficult situations at home: raising a person from a very low or floor-level seated position. The AX08 lowers to approximately 2.3 inches and raises to approximately 18.9 inches, providing powered lifting assistance without requiring a caregiver to manually lift the user’s full body weight.

At approximately 26 lbs with a 300 lb load capacity, the AX08 combines a relatively lightweight, foldable design with a durable steel structure, six suction cups, anti-slip footpads, rechargeable operation, and an IP68 waterproof design. It can be configured for appropriate hard surfaces, carpeted areas, bathrooms, and wet environments using the supplied stabilization components.

Although especially useful as an electric floor lift, the AX08 can also function as a bath lift chair when properly installed and used in a compatible bathtub. This dual-purpose design makes it relevant for households looking for both floor-level lifting assistance and a powered lift for bath use rather than purchasing completely separate devices for each situation.

Why Choose the VOCIC AX08 Bath Lift Chair?

The AX08 is designed around a straightforward problem: getting someone up from near floor level can require far more strength than helping the same person from a normal chair height. This can be challenging for the individual and for a family member or caregiver trying to assist.

Instead of relying entirely on manual lifting, the AX08 provides powered vertical movement from approximately 2.3 inches at its lowest position to 18.9 inches at its highest position. The person can remain seated while the lift raises them toward a more manageable seated height.

For buyers comparing a bath lift chair, floor lift, or elderly lift-assist device, the AX08 offers an unusual combination of 300 lb capacity, 26 lb product weight, IP68 waterproof construction, foldable storage, six suction cups, anti-slip footpads, and modular components.

Its dual-purpose design is especially useful when the intended user needs assistance not only around the bathtub but also when getting up from a low position elsewhere in the home.

Electric Floor Lift for Getting Up From Low Positions

One of the AX08’s most important uses is as an electric floor lift. When an appropriate user is already seated or positioned at floor level and has difficulty getting back up, the AX08 can provide powered elevation toward normal seated height.

The chair lowers to approximately 2.3 inches, allowing it to begin very close to floor level. Once the user is appropriately positioned, the powered mechanism can raise the seat to approximately 18.9 inches.

This can reduce the amount of manual lifting required from a caregiver and may provide a more practical way to assist someone who has insufficient leg strength or mobility to rise easily from a very low position.

The AX08 should not be confused with an emergency medical lifting device. If a person has fallen and there is any possibility of injury, head impact, fracture, significant pain, loss of consciousness, new weakness, or another medical concern, appropriate medical assistance should be obtained before attempting to move or lift the person.

Lowers to Approximately 2.3 Inches

Minimum lifting height is one of the most important specifications when choosing a floor lift because the device needs to position the user as close to floor level as practical.

The AX08 has a listed lowest seat height of approximately 2.3 inches. This low starting position is particularly relevant for users who need assistance rising from the floor rather than simply standing from an ordinary chair.

For someone comparing elderly lift-assist devices, the minimum height should be considered together with seat dimensions, maximum lifting height, weight capacity, stabilization method, and how the user will be transferred or positioned onto the seat.

Raises to Approximately 18.9 Inches

Once the user is positioned on the AX08, the powered lifting mechanism raises the seat to approximately 18.9 inches.

The purpose is to move the user away from the difficult floor-level position and toward a more conventional seated height where the next appropriate transfer can be completed.

For a user with reduced leg strength, limited mobility, or difficulty rising from low positions, this vertical travel can address the hardest portion of getting up without requiring the caregiver to manually raise the user’s entire body from floor level.

The user’s individual transfer ability, balance, strength, positioning needs, and caregiver assistance requirements should still be evaluated before using the lift.

300 lb Weight Capacity with Steel Construction

The VOCIC AX08 supports a maximum working load of approximately 300 lbs and uses a durable steel structure to provide support throughout the lifting process.

This gives the AX08 enough capacity for many adult users while maintaining a product weight of approximately 26 lbs.

Weight capacity is only one part of determining whether a lift is appropriate. The AX08 has a listed seat width of approximately 15.4 inches and seat length of approximately 20.5 inches, so the user’s physical dimensions and ability to remain appropriately positioned on the seat should also be considered.

The maximum weight capacity should never be exceeded.

26 lb Design for Easier Handling and Storage

At approximately 26 lbs, the AX08 is designed to be manageable when it needs to be moved, repositioned, removed from a bathroom, or stored between uses.

Its compact structure is also foldable, reducing the amount of storage space required when the lift is not in use.

This can be particularly useful in a home where the lift is kept available for occasional floor-level assistance rather than remaining permanently installed in one location.

Anyone responsible for moving or storing the AX08 should still make sure they can safely handle its approximately 26 lb weight.

Multi-Surface Support for Different Areas of the Home

A floor lift needs to work in the places where the user may actually need assistance. The AX08 includes waterproof suction cups and anti-slip footpads to accommodate different appropriate surfaces.

The suction-cup system can provide stabilization on suitable smooth, hard surfaces such as appropriate tile or polished flooring. The supplied footpads provide another configuration for surfaces where suction attachment is not appropriate, including compatible carpeted areas.

This multi-surface approach is particularly useful for a floor lift because assistance may be needed in a bedroom, living area, hallway, bathroom, or another part of the home rather than in one predictable location.

The correct stabilization components should always be used for the specific surface, and the chair should be checked for secure positioning before lifting a user.

Six Suction Cups for Added Stability

The AX08 can use six suction cups at the bottom of the lift to help stabilize the device on appropriate smooth surfaces.

This is especially relevant when the chair is being used in a bathroom or bathtub environment where secure positioning is important during powered raising and lowering.

Suction effectiveness depends on the condition, texture, cleanliness, and compatibility of the surface. The suction system should therefore be properly installed and checked before use rather than assuming it will attach securely to every type of flooring or bathtub.

IP68 Waterproof Design for Wet Environments

The AX08 has an IP68 waterproof design, allowing the lifting chair to be used in appropriate wet environments when correctly assembled and operated.

The motor is enclosed for waterproof protection, and the connection between the hand controller and chair is designed for wet-environment operation. The chair can therefore function not only as a floor lift but also as a lift for bath use when properly configured in a compatible bathtub.

The charger is not waterproof and should never be submerged or treated as a component intended for bathtub use. All electrical connections and operating procedures should follow the product instructions.

AX08 as a Bath Lift Chair

Although the AX08 is particularly useful as an elderly floor-lifting device, its waterproof construction and powered vertical movement also allow it to function as a bath lift chair.

When correctly installed in a compatible bathtub, the lift can lower an appropriate seated user toward the bottom of the tub and raise the user again after bathing.

This addresses a common bathing problem for people with limited mobility: a person may be able to remain seated comfortably but have difficulty physically lowering themselves into a bathtub and standing back up from such a low position.

For this reason, someone searching for a bath tub lift chair should consider not only waterproofing but also minimum seat height, maximum seat height, seat dimensions, bathtub dimensions, stabilization, user transfers, and weight capacity.

Bath Lift Chair vs. Floor Lift: Why the AX08 Does Both

A traditional bath lift chair is primarily designed to move a user vertically inside a bathtub. A floor lift is intended to help raise a person from a low floor-level position.

The AX08 combines these functions because both situations require a similar capability: raising a seated user from very close to floor level toward a more manageable seated height.

Its approximately 2.3-inch minimum seat height makes it useful close to floor level, while the approximately 18.9-inch maximum height provides substantial vertical travel. Its waterproof construction and suction-cup system extend that same lifting concept into an appropriate bathing environment.

This can make the AX08 particularly useful for a household that wants one compact lifting device for more than one mobility challenge.

Bath Lift Chair vs. Standard Shower Chair

A standard shower chair provides a stable place to sit while bathing, but the seat generally remains at one fixed height. It does not provide powered assistance from floor level or lower and raise the user inside the bathtub.

The AX08 bath lift chair uses powered vertical movement. This means it can address the physical difficulty of getting down into a low position and coming back up afterward rather than simply providing a seat.

A shower chair may be sufficient for someone who only needs seated bathing. The AX08 is more relevant when the primary challenge involves vertical movement from a low position.

Foldable and Modular for Storage and Transport

The AX08 uses a compact, foldable, modular design intended to make storage and transportation more practical.

The backrest and seat can be folded and disassembled, allowing the chair to occupy less space when it is not being used.

The backrest is also designed to automatically lock onto the seat base when raised, helping prevent unintended backward tilting of the backrest during normal operation.

This modular construction can be particularly valuable when the AX08 needs to move between a bathroom and other areas of the home rather than remaining permanently installed.

Rechargeable Waterproof Hand Controller

The AX08 includes a waterproof rechargeable lithium-battery hand controller that operates the powered raising and lowering functions.

The controller allows the lift to operate without being connected directly to household power while the user is being raised or lowered.

During charging, the charger indicator turns red and changes to green when charging is complete. The hand controller itself does not need to illuminate continuously during charging. Battery status can be checked through the controller when operating the UP or DOWN controls.

The charger is included with the AX08 and does not need to be purchased separately.

Will the AX08 Fit in My Bathtub?

Anyone purchasing the AX08 specifically as a bath tub lift chair should measure the intended bathtub before ordering.

The listed product dimensions are approximately 25 inches deep by 16 inches wide by 3 inches high in its low configuration, while the seat itself is approximately 20.5 inches long by 15.4 inches wide.

Bathtub compatibility depends on more than overall width. Measure the usable interior floor, tub depth, contours, drain location, surrounding transfer area, and any obstruction that could interfere with the chair as it moves through its lifting range.

The bathtub surface must also be suitable for the suction-cup system. Textured, uneven, damaged, or incompatible surfaces can affect suction attachment.

Who Is the VOCIC AX08 Best For?

The AX08 is particularly relevant for older adults, people with reduced leg strength, adults with mobility limitations, and caregivers who need a practical way to provide powered lifting assistance from low positions.

It can be especially useful when someone has difficulty rising from the floor but does not necessarily need a large patient lift or sling-based transfer system for every transfer.

The AX08 can also be useful for someone who needs a powered lift for bath access and wants the same device to remain useful elsewhere in the home.

It is not appropriate for every user. Someone who cannot maintain an appropriate seated position, requires extensive body or head support, exceeds the 300 lb capacity, or cannot safely transfer onto and off the chair may require a different type of patient lift or transfer solution.

Is the AX08 a Replacement for a Hoyer Lift?

No. The AX08 and a traditional patient lift serve different transfer needs.

The AX08 is a seated floor and bath lift that raises an appropriately positioned user vertically from a low seated position. It does not suspend the user in a sling or provide the same transfer functions as a full-body patient lift.

A person who requires sling-supported transfers between a bed, wheelchair, commode, or other surfaces may need a conventional patient lift instead.

The AX08 is better suited to situations where the user can be appropriately positioned on the seat and primarily needs powered assistance moving from a very low seated position toward normal chair height.

What Should You Compare Before Buying a Bath Lift Chair?

When comparing a bath lift chair or multi-purpose floor lift, look beyond weight capacity alone. Important considerations include minimum lifting height, maximum lifting height, seat dimensions, overall product weight, waterproof protection, floor compatibility, stabilization method, portability, controls, user positioning, transfer ability, and whether the device is intended for both dry and wet environments.

For the AX08, the major numbers are clear: approximately 26 lb product weight, 300 lb load capacity, 2.3-inch minimum seat height, 18.9-inch maximum seat height, 15.4-inch seat width, six suction cups, IP68 waterproof construction, and a foldable modular design.

The most important question is whether those specifications match the actual person and environment where the lift will be used.

Common Mobility Problem → AX08 Solution

Problem: A mobility-limited person has difficulty getting back up from floor level.

AX08 Solution: The powered chair starts at approximately 2.3 inches and raises the seated user toward an approximately 18.9-inch height.

Problem: Manual lifting from the floor places substantial physical demands on a caregiver.

AX08 Solution: Powered vertical lifting can reduce the amount of manual lifting required once the user is appropriately positioned on the chair.

Problem: A lift may be needed in different areas of the home.

AX08 Solution: The approximately 26 lb foldable design, suction cups, and anti-slip footpads allow the device to accommodate different appropriate environments and surfaces.

Problem: The user also has difficulty lowering into and rising from a bathtub.

AX08 Solution: Its IP68 waterproof design allows the AX08 to also function as a bath lift when properly installed and used in a compatible bathtub.
