Description

Joerns Hoyer Standing Disposable Sling – Single-Patient Disposable Sit to Stand Sling for Hoyer Stand Aids, 440 lb

The Joerns Hoyer standing disposable sling is a disposable sit to stand sling for Hoyer stand aid lifts. It’s the single-patient version of the Hoyer Deluxe Stand-Aid sling: same easy fit behind the back, same loops onto the lift’s hooks, but made to stay with one patient and be discarded, never washed. Joerns rates it for a 440 lb safe working load.

As a disposable standing sling it fits the Hoyer stand aids we sell, the Hoyer Journey and the Hoyer Elevate, so it’s the stand assist sling for Hoyer lift owners who need infection control or a sling per patient. Three color-coded sizes, each with its own Joerns part number.

Choose Small, Medium or Large in the dropdown above. Not sure which standing sling for Hoyer lift you need? Call us at 585-505-6665.

Why Choose the Hoyer Disposable Standing Sling?

It’s the sling you buy when one patient needs a stand aid and you don’t want a laundry cycle in the middle of their care. It’s a genuine Joerns sling made for Hoyer stand aids, rated for 440 lbs, and it fits the same way as the washable Deluxe Standing sling: strap behind the back, loops onto the hooks, raise. Because it’s single-patient, there’s no cross-use between residents and nothing to wash.

Who Is the Disposable Standing Sling Best For?

This sling is a good fit for:

  • One patient using a Hoyer Journey or Hoyer Elevate stand aid at home, in hospice or in a facility
  • Infection-control settings where slings can’t be shared or laundered
  • Short-term rehab or respite care where a washable sling would be overkill
  • Patients with a good degree of weight-bearing ability who need support to stand and transfer

New to stand aids? Our sit-to-stand lift buying guide and the patient lift sling knowledge base explain which sling goes with which lift.

Who May Need a Different Sling?

  • Patients who can’t bear weight: a stand aid isn’t the right lift. Look at a passive lift with a full back sling or a comfort sling.
  • Double amputees or lifting from lying down: Joerns says this sling won’t suit either.
  • Shared lifts with several residents: the washable Deluxe Sit-to-Stand Sling makes more sense than a disposable per person.
  • Patients who lose trunk control: Joerns notes the sling can slip up under the armpits in that case and says a transport sling may be used after a risk assessment. Call us.

440 lb Safe Working Load

Joerns rates the sling for 440 lbs (200 kg), tested to BS EN ISO 10535. The lift’s rating still applies: Joerns lists the Hoyer Elevate at 440 lbs and the Hoyer Journey at 341 lbs, and says not to exceed the rated capacity of the sling or the lift.

Single-Patient, Disposable by Design

Joerns makes these slings patient specific. They’re not to be washed; washing compromises the sling and makes it unsafe. That’s the trade: no laundering, no sharing, and a fresh sling when this one is soiled or worn.

Made for Hoyer Stand Aid Lifts

The Joerns manual says these slings are suitable for use with Hoyer stand aid lifts, and the sling chart lists the Hoyer Elevate, Hoyer Journey and Hoyer Ascend. The sling’s loops hook onto the hooks at the end of the stand aid’s hand grips.

Easy Fit With Toileting Access

Joerns describes the Deluxe Standing sling as easy to fit with good access for toileting: the sling sits behind the back, the strap holds it in place while you attach the loops, and the client’s lower body stays free. An adjustable waist strap and a non-slip back pad keep it in position.

Choosing Your Options

Pick the size in the dropdown. Each size has its own Joerns part number and a color-coded binding. The weight ranges are Joerns’ recommended guideline from the Hoyer sling chart.

Size Joerns Code Color Recommended Weight (Joerns)
Small NA13525N Red 75 to 150 lbs
Medium NA13526N Yellow 125 to 200 lbs
Large NA13527N Green 175 to 440 lbs

Joerns makes the disposable standing sling in these three sizes only.

Disposable Standing Sling vs. the Washable Deluxe Standing Sling

Same sling design, two materials. The washable Deluxe Sit-to-Stand Sling is padded polyester you launder and reuse across residents. The disposable is single-patient polyester you never wash. One patient, one lift: disposable. A shared lift in a facility: washable, with disposables on hand for isolation rooms.

Common Problem → Disposable Standing Sling Solution

Problem: a resident in isolation needs a stand aid transfer several times a day, and the facility’s washable slings can’t go in and out of the room.
Solution: a disposable standing sling stays with that resident, fits the Hoyer stand aid the same way, and gets replaced instead of laundered.
How long does one sling last? Joerns doesn’t put a number on it: check the sling and stitching before every use and discard it when it’s soiled, worn, torn or frayed.

Sizing & Fit

Use the Joerns weight guideline first, then the dimensions. For the Deluxe Standing sling family Joerns lists: A (Small 28.3″, Medium 32.7″, Large 42.1″), B (Small 12.2″, Medium 13″, Large 13.4″), C (Small 29.1″, Medium 35.4″, Large 48″), and a maximum chest strap length of 40.1″ Small, 53.5″ Medium and 61.4″ Large. Joerns also notes taller clients may need the shorter loops from the start. If you’re between sizes, call 585-505-6665.

Care & Cleaning

Don’t wash it. Joerns says disposable slings are patient specific and designed not to be washed, because washing compromises the sling. Inspect it before each use and discard it when soiled or worn. Never alter a sling.

What’s Included

One Hoyer standing disposable sling in the size you choose. Joerns doesn’t list a pack quantity for these part numbers, so each order line is one sling; order as many as you need.

Warranty

Joerns warrants Hoyer Pro disposable slings for 14 days after purchase by the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship. Washing a disposable sling voids it. We’re an authorized Joerns dealer, so call us with any claim.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Hoyer disposable standing sling?

It’s the single-patient, disposable version of the Hoyer Deluxe Stand-Aid sling. Joerns calls it an easy-fit sling for standing and supporting on a Hoyer stand aid lift, rated for 440 lbs. It’s made to be used by one patient and thrown away, never washed.

Which lifts does the disposable sit to stand sling fit?

Hoyer stand aid lifts. The Joerns manual says these slings are suitable for use with Hoyer stand aid lifts, and the Joerns sling chart lists the Hoyer Elevate, Hoyer Journey and Hoyer Ascend. We sell the Hoyer Journey and the Hoyer Elevate; call 585-505-6665 if you have a different stand aid.

Will it work on a Hoyer Journey?

Yes, Joerns lists the Hoyer Journey on the sling chart for the standing disposable sling. Remember the Hoyer Journey’s own safe working load (Joerns rates it at 341 lbs) is lower than the sling’s 440 lbs, and Joerns says never to exceed the rated capacity of the sling or the lift.

How much weight can it hold?

Joerns rates the standing disposable sling for a safe working load of 440 lbs (200 kg). Your limit is the lower of the sling rating and your lift’s rating.

Can I wash a disposable sling?

No. Joerns says disposable slings are patient specific and designed not to be washed, and that washing compromises the integrity of the sling and makes it unsafe. When it’s soiled or worn, discard it and fit a new one.

How do I choose the size?

Start from the Joerns weight guideline: Small 75 to 150 lbs, Medium 125 to 200 lbs, Large 175 to 440 lbs. Joerns says weight is only a guideline, so check the sling dimensions and chest strap length in our Sizing section, and call us if the patient is between sizes.

How do I put it on?

Joerns’ instructions: place the sling behind the client’s back between the base of the shoulder blades and the bottom of the rib cage, fasten the strap around the front (it doesn’t need to be tight), keep the client’s arms outside the sling, set their feet in the foot trays and knees against the knee pad, then attach the longer loops to the hooks at the end of the hand grips and raise. Once the client is used to the lift, the shorter loops give a more upright position.

Who should not use a standing sling?

Joerns says it’s not a general-purpose sling and won’t suit every client. It won’t suit double amputees or lifting from a horizontal position, and the client needs enough weight-bearing ability to stand with the lift’s support. Assess each client first.

Is it the same as the washable Deluxe Standing Sling?

It’s the same design in a disposable polyester version. If several patients share one lift or you want a sling you can launder, the washable Joerns Deluxe Sit-to-Stand Sling is the one to buy; the disposable is for one patient.

Does it come in a pack?

Each order line is one sling. Joerns doesn’t list a pack quantity for these part numbers, so order the number you need.

What is the warranty on a disposable sling?

Joerns warrants Hoyer Pro disposable slings for 14 days after purchase by the original owner. That’s for defects, not for normal use and wear, and a washed sling is excluded.

Do you ship nationwide?

Yes. We ship Joerns and Hoyer slings fast nationwide, delivered to your door. Call 585-505-6665 and we’ll help you match the sling to your stand aid.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping & Return Policy

At MedCare Mobility, we understand that purchasing medical and mobility equipment is an important decision. Our goal is to make the ordering, delivery, and return process as clear and straightforward as possible.

Because many of the products we offer are large, specialized, or shipped directly from manufacturer and distributor warehouses, shipping and return requirements may vary somewhat by product and brand. The policy below explains what you can generally expect when ordering from MedCare Mobility.

Shipping & Order Processing

We ship medical and mobility equipment to customers throughout the United States. Orders are processed as quickly as possible, and tracking information is provided once available.

Processing Time

Most in-stock orders are processed within approximately 1–3 business days. Processing may include order verification, warehouse preparation, packaging, and coordination with the manufacturer or distributor.

Some specialty equipment, made-to-order products, oversized items, or products shipping directly from a manufacturer may require additional processing time. Any estimated processing or lead time shown on an individual product page should be considered part of the expected fulfillment timeframe for that item.

Transit & Delivery Time

Once shipped, many standard orders arrive within approximately 3–7 business days. Larger medical equipment, freight shipments, specialty products, and certain manufacturer-direct orders may require additional transit time.

Tracking information will generally be emailed once the shipment has been processed by the carrier. If you have questions regarding the status of your order, please contact us at info@medcaremobility.com.

Alaska, Hawaii & Special Shipping Areas

Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and certain remote or limited-access areas may be subject to additional shipping charges. If an additional charge is required after your order is reviewed, we will contact you before proceeding whenever additional payment is necessary.

Freight & Oversized Equipment

Hospital beds, patient lifts, large recliners, ramps, and other oversized medical equipment may ship by freight rather than standard parcel service. Unless a specific delivery service is stated on the product page or order, freight delivery does not automatically include inside delivery, assembly, installation, or removal of packaging.

30-Day Return Policy

We want you to feel comfortable ordering from MedCare Mobility. Most eligible products may be returned when a return is requested within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions and exclusions outlined below.

Eligible products generally include:

  • Electric and power wheelchairs
  • Manual and lightweight wheelchairs
  • Mobility scooters
  • Walkers and rollators
  • Patient lifts
  • Wheelchair ramps
  • Hospital and homecare beds
  • Eligible medical mattresses
  • Geriatric and medical recliner chairs
  • Overbed tables
  • Bathroom benches and shower chairs
  • Other eligible medical and mobility equipment

Return eligibility can vary by manufacturer and product type. Products specifically identified as non-returnable, custom, made-to-order, or otherwise subject to special return terms are governed by those terms.

Return Authorization

Please contact us before shipping any product back. Returns must first be approved and issued a Return Authorization (RA) and the appropriate return shipping address.

You may request a return by emailing info@medcaremobility.com or contacting our customer service team through the live chat on our website.

Please do not return merchandise to an address shown on the original shipping label unless specifically instructed to do so. Many products ship directly from manufacturer or distributor warehouses, and the correct return location may be different from the original shipping location.

Condition of Returned Merchandise

To qualify for a return and refund, the product must be returned:

  • In brand-new and unused condition
  • In its complete original manufacturer packaging
  • With all manuals, components, hardware, accessories, and included materials
  • Without damage, modification, assembly wear, stains, odors, or other signs of use
  • In resalable condition upon inspection by the receiving warehouse or manufacturer

We strongly recommend keeping the original box, pallet, protective materials, and packaging until you are certain that you intend to keep the equipment. Large medical equipment can be difficult or impossible to return safely without its original packaging.

Restocking Fees

Approved returns are subject to a mandatory restocking fee, generally ranging from 15% to 20% of the applicable product price. The exact restocking percentage varies depending on the manufacturer, brand, and type of equipment being returned.

These restocking charges are assessed to us by the manufacturer or distributing warehouse when merchandise is returned. MedCare Mobility does not add the fee simply as a return penalty; when the manufacturer requires the charge, we must pass the applicable amount through as part of processing the return.

If you would like to know the applicable restocking percentage for a particular product before ordering, please contact us and we will be happy to help whenever that information is available from the manufacturer.

Return Shipping & Shipping Charges

The customer is responsible for shipping charges associated with the order when making a standard return.

Customers are responsible for arranging for the approved merchandise to be returned to the return address provided with the Return Authorization. In certain cases, we may be able to provide a prepaid return label or coordinate return transportation for your convenience. When provided, the applicable shipping cost may be deducted from the final refund.

Because some medical equipment is oversized or requires freight transportation, prepaid labels or carrier call tags may not be available for every product. Our customer service team will provide the available return instructions when your return is authorized.

Non-Returnable Products

For health, hygiene, safety, customization, and manufacturer-policy reasons, certain products are not eligible for standard returns.

We currently do not accept returns on:

  • Parts & accessories
  • Wheelchair cushions and support accessories
  • Patient lift slings
  • Custom or made-to-order products
  • Products specifically identified as non-returnable on the product page

If a non-returnable product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us promptly. Non-returnable status does not prevent us from assisting with a legitimate shipping damage, defect, warranty, or fulfillment issue in accordance with the applicable manufacturer and carrier procedures.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

We take shipping damage seriously and will work with you to help resolve legitimate delivery issues.

If your product arrives damaged, please notify MedCare Mobility within 48 hours of delivery. Whenever possible, retain the shipping carton, pallet, packaging materials, and the product exactly as received and take clear photographs of the packaging and any visible damage.

Reporting damage promptly is important because carriers and manufacturers have limited timeframes for filing freight and shipping claims.

If you receive an incorrect product or believe there is a manufacturer defect, please contact us before returning or disposing of any merchandise or packaging so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.

Refused Deliveries

Please contact us before refusing a delivery unless the shipment has obvious significant freight damage and the carrier is documenting the damage at delivery.

A shipment that is refused for reasons unrelated to verified shipping damage may be treated as a standard return. Applicable restocking and shipping charges may therefore be deducted from the refund.

Return Shipping Deadline

Once a return has been approved and return instructions or a return label have been issued, the merchandise must be shipped within 72 hours unless MedCare Mobility provides different instructions in writing.

This is particularly important when a return is approaching the end of the applicable return period. Returns shipped outside the authorized timeframe may be refused by the manufacturer or warehouse and may no longer qualify for a refund.

Refund Processing

Refunds are processed after the returned merchandise has been received and inspected by the applicable warehouse or manufacturer and the return has been confirmed to meet the return requirements.

The applicable restocking fee, shipping charges associated with the order, and any other authorized return-related charges will be deducted from the amount eligible for refund.

If returned merchandise is used, damaged, incomplete, missing original packaging or components, or otherwise returned in a condition that prevents the manufacturer or warehouse from accepting it as new and resalable merchandise, the return may be refused or the refund may be reduced in accordance with the manufacturer’s assessment.

Custom & Made-to-Order Products

Products identified as custom, configured, made-to-order, special-order, or manufactured specifically for the customer cannot generally be canceled once production or manufacturer processing has begun and are not eligible for standard returns.

For custom products, cancellation may only be possible during the initial processing period and before production or customization begins. Because production schedules vary by manufacturer, we encourage customers to contact us immediately if a change is required.

If a custom product arrives damaged or has a legitimate manufacturing defect, we will work with the manufacturer to pursue the appropriate resolution, replacement components, repair, or other available remedy under the applicable manufacturer policy or warranty.

Questions Before Ordering?

Medical equipment can vary considerably in size, configuration, compatibility, and intended use. If you are unsure whether a product will work for your needs, we strongly encourage you to contact us before placing your order.

Our team is happy to help review product specifications, dimensions, options, compatibility, and available manufacturer information so you can make a more informed purchasing decision and reduce the possibility of needing a return.

For shipping, return, or product questions, contact us at info@medcaremobility.com or speak with us through the live chat on our website.
