Description
Medacure Full Body Sling – Hoyer Lift Sling for Safe Full Body Transfers, 660 lb Capacity
The Medacure Full Body Sling is a Hoyer lift sling for patients who need full support during a transfer. It cradles the head, back and thighs in one piece of fabric, so a caregiver can move someone from bed to wheelchair, chair, commode or recliner with a patient lift instead of lifting by hand. Medacure rates it for 660 lbs. Not sure which sling you need? Start with our patient lift sling buying guide on sling types, sizing and lift compatibility, then the patient lift sling knowledge base for quick answers.
As a full body lift sling it uses loop straps with four color-coded loops on each side, plus back straps that give the caregiver a place to guide and position the patient. It comes in five sizes, Small through 2X-Large, each with its own Medacure item number and trim color so the right sling is easy to grab.
Medacure builds slings for long term care facilities and home care, and this is the everyday solid version of their full body design. Pick your size in the dropdown above, or call us at 585-505-6665 if you want help sizing.

Why Choose the Medacure Full Body Sling?
A full body sling for Hoyer lift transfers needs three things: a rating that leaves room to spare, loops that are easy to read, and sizes that actually fit. This sling has all three. The 660 lb capacity is higher than most home lifts, so the lift is the limit, not the sling. The color-coded loops let you set the seating angle the same way every time. And five sizes, color-coded by trim, cover small adults through larger patients.
Who Is the Full Body Sling Best For?
- Patients who cannot bear weight or stand during a transfer
- Bed to wheelchair, chair, commode or recliner transfers at home or in a facility
- Caregivers who want a simple loop sling that fits most hook-style spreader bars
- Homes and facilities that need a spare or replacement sling for an existing Hoyer lift
- Larger patients, with sizes up to 2X-Large and a 660 lb rating
Not sure which sling type you need? Our patient lift sling knowledge base explains each sling family, and the sling assessment tool helps you narrow it down in a few questions.
Who May Need a Different Sling?
- Toileting: a solid sling covers the seat. Choose a sling with a commode opening if the patient needs toilet access while in the sling.
- Bathing and showering: a mesh sling drains and dries faster. Browse our mesh slings.
- Patients who can stand partly: a sit-to-stand sling on a stand-assist lift encourages weight bearing.
- Clip-style lifts: some cradles use clips instead of hooks. This is a loop sling, so check your lift first or call us.
660 lb Weight Capacity
Medacure rates the full body sling for 660 lbs. That leaves headroom on standard 400 to 450 lb home lifts and suits bariatric floor lifts too. Your safe limit is always the lower of the sling rating and the lift rating.
Color-Coded Loop Straps for Easy Positioning
Each strap has four loops in different colors. Hook the same color on both sides to keep the patient level, use the shorter loops for a more upright sitting position, and the longer ones to recline. Caregivers can note the color that works and repeat it on every transfer, which keeps lifts consistent between shifts or family members.
Back Straps for Caregiver Assistance
Webbing straps sewn across the back of the sling give the caregiver a secure handhold to guide the patient while the lift raises, lowers or rotates them. That helps when positioning someone into a wheelchair seat or back onto the bed.
Sizes and Color-Coded Trim
Every size has its own Medacure item number and a trim color, so caregivers can read the size at a glance:
| Size | Medacure Item # | Trim Color |
| Small | S100 | Navy |
| Medium | M200 | Purple |
| Large | L300 | Green |
| X-Large | XL400 | Blue |
| 2X-Large | XXL500 | Black |
Fit matters more than weight alone. The sling should support the head or upper back and reach past the tailbone, with the leg pieces under the thighs. A sling that is too big lets the patient slide down; too small and it digs in behind the knees.
How to Use a Full Body Hoyer Lift Sling
- Roll the patient to one side and place the folded sling behind them, with the bottom edge at the tailbone.
- Roll them back and pull the sling through so it lies flat and centered.
- Bring the leg sections under each thigh.
- Position the lift and lower the spreader bar.
- Hook the shoulder loops, then the leg loops, using matching colors on both sides.
- Raise slowly, check that every loop is secure, then move the patient.
Always follow your lift’s own instructions, and use two caregivers when your facility or the lift manufacturer calls for it.

Full Body Sling vs. Other Medacure Slings
Medacure makes 13 sling styles. The solid full body sling is the general-purpose choice for everyday transfers. The commode version adds a toileting opening, the mesh versions are made for bathing, the divided leg and U-sling styles are easier to put on while seated, and the 850 lb slings pair with the bariatric Free Spirit Pro lift. If you are not sure which style fits your routine, ask us and we will match one to the patient and the lift.
Care and Inspection
Inspect the sling before every use: look at the stitching, loops, straps and fabric. Wash it regularly following the care label. Retire any sling with fraying, tears, or damaged loops. Many caregivers keep two slings so one is always clean and ready.
What’s Included
One Medacure full body sling in the size you choose.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a full body Hoyer lift sling used for?
A full body sling supports a patient from the back and head down to the thighs so a caregiver can lift them with a patient lift. It is used for transfers between a bed, wheelchair, chair, commode or the floor when the patient cannot stand or bear weight on their own.
What weight capacity does the Medacure full body sling have?
Medacure rates the full body sling for 660 lbs. Always use the lower of the sling rating and the lift rating, so on a 450 lb lift the limit is 450 lbs.
How do I pick the right size?
Medacure makes the sling in five sizes, each with its own item number and trim color: Small S100 (navy), Medium M200 (purple), Large L300 (green), X-Large XL400 (blue) and 2X-Large XXL500 (black). Size follows the patient’s build more than their weight: the sling should reach from the top of the head or shoulders to just past the tailbone, with the leg sections sitting under the thighs. If you are between sizes or not sure, call us at 585-505-6665 with the patient’s height, weight and build and we will help you choose.
Will this sling work with my Hoyer lift?
It is a loop-style sling: each strap has four color-coded loops that hook onto the hooks of a spreader bar. Loop slings fit most patient lifts with hook-style spreader bars, including the Medacure Free Spirit lifts. Clip-style systems (such as some Hoyer Presence and Stature cradles) need a clip sling instead. If you are unsure about your lift, send us the model and we will check it before you order.
What are the color-coded loops for?
The four loops on each strap set how upright or reclined the patient sits in the sling. Using the same color on both sides keeps the patient level, and caregivers can repeat the same position every transfer by remembering the color.
Is the Medacure full body sling washable?
Lift slings should be washed regularly and inspected before every use. Follow the care label on your sling for wash and dry temperatures, and take any sling out of service if you see frayed stitching, torn fabric or damaged loops.
Do I need a commode or mesh version instead?
Choose the solid full body sling for everyday transfers. If you need toileting access, look at a sling with a commode opening, and for bathing or showering a mesh sling dries faster. Medacure makes both styles, and we can help you compare them.
What warranty comes with the sling?
Medacure lists a limited lifetime warranty on this sling. Keep your order details, and contact us if you have a problem with the sling.

Shipping & Returns
Shipping & Return Policy
At MedCare Mobility, we understand that purchasing medical and mobility equipment is an important decision. Our goal is to make the ordering, delivery, and return process as clear and straightforward as possible.
Because many of the products we offer are large, specialized, or shipped directly from manufacturer and distributor warehouses, shipping and return requirements may vary somewhat by product and brand. The policy below explains what you can generally expect when ordering from MedCare Mobility.
Shipping & Order Processing
We ship medical and mobility equipment to customers throughout the United States. Orders are processed as quickly as possible, and tracking information is provided once available.
Processing Time
Most in-stock orders are processed within approximately 1–3 business days. Processing may include order verification, warehouse preparation, packaging, and coordination with the manufacturer or distributor.
Some specialty equipment, made-to-order products, oversized items, or products shipping directly from a manufacturer may require additional processing time. Any estimated processing or lead time shown on an individual product page should be considered part of the expected fulfillment timeframe for that item.
Transit & Delivery Time
Once shipped, many standard orders arrive within approximately 3–7 business days. Larger medical equipment, freight shipments, specialty products, and certain manufacturer-direct orders may require additional transit time.
Tracking information will generally be emailed once the shipment has been processed by the carrier. If you have questions regarding the status of your order, please contact us at info@medcaremobility.com.
Alaska, Hawaii & Special Shipping Areas
Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and certain remote or limited-access areas may be subject to additional shipping charges. If an additional charge is required after your order is reviewed, we will contact you before proceeding whenever additional payment is necessary.
Freight & Oversized Equipment
Hospital beds, patient lifts, large recliners, ramps, and other oversized medical equipment may ship by freight rather than standard parcel service. Unless a specific delivery service is stated on the product page or order, freight delivery does not automatically include inside delivery, assembly, installation, or removal of packaging.
30-Day Return Policy
We want you to feel comfortable ordering from MedCare Mobility. Most eligible products may be returned when a return is requested within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions and exclusions outlined below.
Eligible products generally include:
- Electric and power wheelchairs
- Manual and lightweight wheelchairs
- Mobility scooters
- Walkers and rollators
- Patient lifts
- Wheelchair ramps
- Hospital and homecare beds
- Eligible medical mattresses
- Geriatric and medical recliner chairs
- Overbed tables
- Bathroom benches and shower chairs
- Other eligible medical and mobility equipment
Return eligibility can vary by manufacturer and product type. Products specifically identified as non-returnable, custom, made-to-order, or otherwise subject to special return terms are governed by those terms.
Return Authorization
Please contact us before shipping any product back. Returns must first be approved and issued a Return Authorization (RA) and the appropriate return shipping address.
You may request a return by emailing info@medcaremobility.com or contacting our customer service team through the live chat on our website.
Please do not return merchandise to an address shown on the original shipping label unless specifically instructed to do so. Many products ship directly from manufacturer or distributor warehouses, and the correct return location may be different from the original shipping location.
Condition of Returned Merchandise
To qualify for a return and refund, the product must be returned:
- In brand-new and unused condition
- In its complete original manufacturer packaging
- With all manuals, components, hardware, accessories, and included materials
- Without damage, modification, assembly wear, stains, odors, or other signs of use
- In resalable condition upon inspection by the receiving warehouse or manufacturer
We strongly recommend keeping the original box, pallet, protective materials, and packaging until you are certain that you intend to keep the equipment. Large medical equipment can be difficult or impossible to return safely without its original packaging.
Restocking Fees
Approved returns are subject to a mandatory restocking fee, generally ranging from 15% to 20% of the applicable product price. The exact restocking percentage varies depending on the manufacturer, brand, and type of equipment being returned.
These restocking charges are assessed to us by the manufacturer or distributing warehouse when merchandise is returned. MedCare Mobility does not add the fee simply as a return penalty; when the manufacturer requires the charge, we must pass the applicable amount through as part of processing the return.
If you would like to know the applicable restocking percentage for a particular product before ordering, please contact us and we will be happy to help whenever that information is available from the manufacturer.
Return Shipping & Shipping Charges
The customer is responsible for shipping charges associated with the order when making a standard return.
Customers are responsible for arranging for the approved merchandise to be returned to the return address provided with the Return Authorization. In certain cases, we may be able to provide a prepaid return label or coordinate return transportation for your convenience. When provided, the applicable shipping cost may be deducted from the final refund.
Because some medical equipment is oversized or requires freight transportation, prepaid labels or carrier call tags may not be available for every product. Our customer service team will provide the available return instructions when your return is authorized.
Non-Returnable Products
For health, hygiene, safety, customization, and manufacturer-policy reasons, certain products are not eligible for standard returns.
We currently do not accept returns on:
- Parts & accessories
- Wheelchair cushions and support accessories
- Patient lift slings
- Custom or made-to-order products
- Products specifically identified as non-returnable on the product page
If a non-returnable product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us promptly. Non-returnable status does not prevent us from assisting with a legitimate shipping damage, defect, warranty, or fulfillment issue in accordance with the applicable manufacturer and carrier procedures.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
We take shipping damage seriously and will work with you to help resolve legitimate delivery issues.
If your product arrives damaged, please notify MedCare Mobility within 48 hours of delivery. Whenever possible, retain the shipping carton, pallet, packaging materials, and the product exactly as received and take clear photographs of the packaging and any visible damage.
Reporting damage promptly is important because carriers and manufacturers have limited timeframes for filing freight and shipping claims.
If you receive an incorrect product or believe there is a manufacturer defect, please contact us before returning or disposing of any merchandise or packaging so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.
Refused Deliveries
Please contact us before refusing a delivery unless the shipment has obvious significant freight damage and the carrier is documenting the damage at delivery.
A shipment that is refused for reasons unrelated to verified shipping damage may be treated as a standard return. Applicable restocking and shipping charges may therefore be deducted from the refund.
Return Shipping Deadline
Once a return has been approved and return instructions or a return label have been issued, the merchandise must be shipped within 72 hours unless MedCare Mobility provides different instructions in writing.
This is particularly important when a return is approaching the end of the applicable return period. Returns shipped outside the authorized timeframe may be refused by the manufacturer or warehouse and may no longer qualify for a refund.
Refund Processing
Refunds are processed after the returned merchandise has been received and inspected by the applicable warehouse or manufacturer and the return has been confirmed to meet the return requirements.
The applicable restocking fee, shipping charges associated with the order, and any other authorized return-related charges will be deducted from the amount eligible for refund.
If returned merchandise is used, damaged, incomplete, missing original packaging or components, or otherwise returned in a condition that prevents the manufacturer or warehouse from accepting it as new and resalable merchandise, the return may be refused or the refund may be reduced in accordance with the manufacturer’s assessment.
Custom & Made-to-Order Products
Products identified as custom, configured, made-to-order, special-order, or manufactured specifically for the customer cannot generally be canceled once production or manufacturer processing has begun and are not eligible for standard returns.
For custom products, cancellation may only be possible during the initial processing period and before production or customization begins. Because production schedules vary by manufacturer, we encourage customers to contact us immediately if a change is required.
If a custom product arrives damaged or has a legitimate manufacturing defect, we will work with the manufacturer to pursue the appropriate resolution, replacement components, repair, or other available remedy under the applicable manufacturer policy or warranty.
Questions Before Ordering?
Medical equipment can vary considerably in size, configuration, compatibility, and intended use. If you are unsure whether a product will work for your needs, we strongly encourage you to contact us before placing your order.
Our team is happy to help review product specifications, dimensions, options, compatibility, and available manufacturer information so you can make a more informed purchasing decision and reduce the possibility of needing a return.
For shipping, return, or product questions, contact us at info@medcaremobility.com or speak with us through the live chat on our website.
