Description

VOCIC AX16 PRO Electric Lift Cushion – Portable Stand Assist Seat Lift, 330 lb Capacity

The VOCIC AX16 PRO is an electric lift cushion: a powered seat pad that sits on the user’s own sofa, armchair or dining chair and gently lifts and tilts them forward so they can stand up. It’s not a lift recliner chair. There’s no chair to buy and no furniture to replace, and VOCIC rates it for 330 lbs.

Think of it as a portable lift chair cushion. It lies flat at 3.7″ thick, weighs about 16.5 lbs by VOCIC’s figure, and needs no installation, so it can move from the living room to the kitchen table. As a stand assist seat lift it runs from a hand controller on either its rechargeable battery or the plug-in power adapter, and VOCIC rates the battery for up to 60 lifts on a full charge.

It’s an authorized VOCIC product, shipped nationwide and delivered to your door.

Why Choose the VOCIC AX16 PRO Electric Lift Cushion?

For a lot of people the hardest part of sitting in a favorite chair is getting out of it. They rock, push on the armrests, try two or three times, and sometimes need someone to pull them up. A full lift recliner fixes that, but it means replacing the chair, and it only helps in one room.

The AX16 PRO goes where the user already sits. Press the control and VOCIC’s 5000N brushless motor raises the back of the cushion and tilts it forward about 15°, which moves the user’s weight over their feet so standing takes far less effort. Then it lowers them back down slowly when they sit. When they move to another chair, the cushion goes with them.

Who Is the VOCIC AX16 PRO Best For?

  • Seniors who can stand and walk but struggle to get up from a sofa, armchair or dining chair
  • People with weak legs or stiff knees and hips who need a boost, not a full transfer
  • Users up to 330 lbs
  • Families who want stand-up help in more than one room
  • Anyone who wants to keep their own chair instead of buying a lift recliner
  • Homes without an outlet near the chair, thanks to the rechargeable battery

To compare full lift chairs and other options, browse our Patient Lift Chairs.

Who May Need a Different Stand Assist?

If the user weighs more than 330 lbs, the AX16 PRO isn’t rated for them. If they can’t take weight on their legs or stand once they’re up, a seat lift won’t be enough, and you’ll want to look at our Stand Assist Devices or talk to us about a patient lift. If they need help getting up off the floor after a fall, look at the VOCIC AX15 Patient Floor Lift Chair. And if the struggle is getting up from the toilet, the VOCIC AX12 PRO Powered Toilet Seat Lift with Remote is built for exactly that.

330 lb Weight Capacity

VOCIC rates the AX16 PRO for up to 330 lbs (150 kg), and the frame is galvanized steel. VOCIC’s consumer listing name mentions 400 lbs, but its spec table and spec images both say 330 lbs, so 330 lbs is the number we go by.

Lifts Up to 11.8″ and Tilts Forward About 15°

Flat, the cushion is 3.7″ thick. VOCIC lists it rising to 11.8″ at full lift, at a lifting speed of 5 mm per second, so the motion is slow and controlled. VOCIC’s feature text puts the tilt at 0° to 15° (±5°) and its lifting range at 9.5 to 22 cm. That forward tilt is what does the work: it brings the user up and over their feet into a standing position.

Battery or Plug-In Power

VOCIC gives the AX16 PRO two power options: a rechargeable battery pack and a plug-in power adapter (100V to 240V input, 29V output). VOCIC rates a full charge for up to 60 lift cycles. Keep it plugged in by a favorite chair, or run it on the battery where there’s no outlet.

About 16.5 lbs and No Installation

VOCIC lists the AX16 PRO at 7.5 kg, about 16.5 lbs, and says it’s ready to use with no installation. It measures 21.4″ x 17.6″ and lies 3.7″ flat. VOCIC includes fixing hooks to help hold it on the chair.

Detachable Armrests and Anti-Slip Details

The armrests give the user something to push against and hold as the cushion rises, and they come off when you don’t need them. VOCIC builds in rounded corners, anti-slip details and a low-noise motor.

VOCIC AX16 PRO vs. a Lift Chair

A lift chair, like the ones in our Patient Lift Chairs, is a full recliner with a motor in the base that tips the whole chair forward. The AX16 PRO is a cushion that adds a lift to a chair you already own.

  • AX16 PRO seat lift: about 16.5 lbs, moves from room to room, no installation, battery or plug-in, 330 lb capacity, no reclining
  • Lift recliner chair: a heavy piece of furniture that stays in one room, reclines for rest and naps, and plugs into the wall

Choose the AX16 PRO if the user likes their current chair, needs help in more than one spot, or doesn’t have room for a new recliner. Choose a lift chair if they spend most of the day in one chair and want it to recline too.

Common Problem → VOCIC AX16 PRO Solution

Problem: Grandpa won’t give up his armchair, but he can’t get out of it anymore without someone pulling him up. A new lift recliner won’t fit the room, and he eats at the dining table too.

Solution: The AX16 PRO goes on his armchair with the armrests on. He presses the hand control, the cushion tilts him forward and up, and he stands on his own. At dinner time it comes off and goes on his dining chair, running on the battery.

“Will it make his chair too high to sit in?” Lowered, it lies 3.7″ flat, so the seat rises by about that much. If his chair is already tall, measure the seat height and call us.

Sizing & Fit

  • Chair seat: the cushion is 21.4″ x 17.6″, so measure the seat of the chair you’ll use. VOCIC says it works on sofas, armchairs and dining chairs.
  • Seat height: lowered, it adds about 3.7″ to the chair’s seat height. Measure from the floor to the top of the seat.
  • User: up to 330 lbs, and able to stand and walk once they’re up.
  • Power: an outlet near the chair for the adapter, or the rechargeable battery where there isn’t one.

Our advice: a firm, flat seat gives the steadiest lift. Call 585-505-6665 with your measurements and we’ll help you check the fit.

Care & Cleaning

VOCIC doesn’t publish cleaning steps for the AX16 PRO, so here’s general advice: unplug the adapter, wipe the cushion and armrests with a damp cloth and mild soap, and let it dry before use. Don’t soak it or use harsh cleaners, and keep the battery, controller and plug dry. Ask us for the user manual for VOCIC’s own instructions.

What’s Included

VOCIC’s dealer page lists the main unit, a plug-in hand controller, the power adapter, a detachable armrest and a tool kit. VOCIC’s product images also show two armrests, the battery pack and fixing hooks with the lift. Ask us to confirm the exact box contents before you order.

VOCIC AX16 PRO Warranty

VOCIC’s dealer page lists a 1-year warranty for the AX16 PRO. Ask us for the current VOCIC end-user warranty terms.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping & Return Policy

At MedCare Mobility, we understand that purchasing medical and mobility equipment is an important decision. Our goal is to make the ordering, delivery, and return process as clear and straightforward as possible.

Because many of the products we offer are large, specialized, or shipped directly from manufacturer and distributor warehouses, shipping and return requirements may vary somewhat by product and brand. The policy below explains what you can generally expect when ordering from MedCare Mobility.

Shipping & Order Processing

We ship medical and mobility equipment to customers throughout the United States. Orders are processed as quickly as possible, and tracking information is provided once available.

Processing Time

Most in-stock orders are processed within approximately 1–3 business days. Processing may include order verification, warehouse preparation, packaging, and coordination with the manufacturer or distributor.

Some specialty equipment, made-to-order products, oversized items, or products shipping directly from a manufacturer may require additional processing time. Any estimated processing or lead time shown on an individual product page should be considered part of the expected fulfillment timeframe for that item.

Transit & Delivery Time

Once shipped, many standard orders arrive within approximately 3–7 business days. Larger medical equipment, freight shipments, specialty products, and certain manufacturer-direct orders may require additional transit time.

Tracking information will generally be emailed once the shipment has been processed by the carrier. If you have questions regarding the status of your order, please contact us at info@medcaremobility.com.

Alaska, Hawaii & Special Shipping Areas

Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and certain remote or limited-access areas may be subject to additional shipping charges. If an additional charge is required after your order is reviewed, we will contact you before proceeding whenever additional payment is necessary.

Freight & Oversized Equipment

Hospital beds, patient lifts, large recliners, ramps, and other oversized medical equipment may ship by freight rather than standard parcel service. Unless a specific delivery service is stated on the product page or order, freight delivery does not automatically include inside delivery, assembly, installation, or removal of packaging.

30-Day Return Policy

We want you to feel comfortable ordering from MedCare Mobility. Most eligible products may be returned when a return is requested within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions and exclusions outlined below.

Eligible products generally include:

  • Electric and power wheelchairs
  • Manual and lightweight wheelchairs
  • Mobility scooters
  • Walkers and rollators
  • Patient lifts
  • Wheelchair ramps
  • Hospital and homecare beds
  • Eligible medical mattresses
  • Geriatric and medical recliner chairs
  • Overbed tables
  • Bathroom benches and shower chairs
  • Other eligible medical and mobility equipment

Return eligibility can vary by manufacturer and product type. Products specifically identified as non-returnable, custom, made-to-order, or otherwise subject to special return terms are governed by those terms.

Return Authorization

Please contact us before shipping any product back. Returns must first be approved and issued a Return Authorization (RA) and the appropriate return shipping address.

You may request a return by emailing info@medcaremobility.com or contacting our customer service team through the live chat on our website.

Please do not return merchandise to an address shown on the original shipping label unless specifically instructed to do so. Many products ship directly from manufacturer or distributor warehouses, and the correct return location may be different from the original shipping location.

Condition of Returned Merchandise

To qualify for a return and refund, the product must be returned:

  • In brand-new and unused condition
  • In its complete original manufacturer packaging
  • With all manuals, components, hardware, accessories, and included materials
  • Without damage, modification, assembly wear, stains, odors, or other signs of use
  • In resalable condition upon inspection by the receiving warehouse or manufacturer

We strongly recommend keeping the original box, pallet, protective materials, and packaging until you are certain that you intend to keep the equipment. Large medical equipment can be difficult or impossible to return safely without its original packaging.

Restocking Fees

Approved returns are subject to a mandatory restocking fee, generally ranging from 15% to 20% of the applicable product price. The exact restocking percentage varies depending on the manufacturer, brand, and type of equipment being returned.

These restocking charges are assessed to us by the manufacturer or distributing warehouse when merchandise is returned. MedCare Mobility does not add the fee simply as a return penalty; when the manufacturer requires the charge, we must pass the applicable amount through as part of processing the return.

If you would like to know the applicable restocking percentage for a particular product before ordering, please contact us and we will be happy to help whenever that information is available from the manufacturer.

Return Shipping & Shipping Charges

The customer is responsible for shipping charges associated with the order when making a standard return.

Customers are responsible for arranging for the approved merchandise to be returned to the return address provided with the Return Authorization. In certain cases, we may be able to provide a prepaid return label or coordinate return transportation for your convenience. When provided, the applicable shipping cost may be deducted from the final refund.

Because some medical equipment is oversized or requires freight transportation, prepaid labels or carrier call tags may not be available for every product. Our customer service team will provide the available return instructions when your return is authorized.

Non-Returnable Products

For health, hygiene, safety, customization, and manufacturer-policy reasons, certain products are not eligible for standard returns.

We currently do not accept returns on:

  • Parts & accessories
  • Wheelchair cushions and support accessories
  • Patient lift slings
  • Custom or made-to-order products
  • Products specifically identified as non-returnable on the product page

If a non-returnable product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us promptly. Non-returnable status does not prevent us from assisting with a legitimate shipping damage, defect, warranty, or fulfillment issue in accordance with the applicable manufacturer and carrier procedures.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

We take shipping damage seriously and will work with you to help resolve legitimate delivery issues.

If your product arrives damaged, please notify MedCare Mobility within 48 hours of delivery. Whenever possible, retain the shipping carton, pallet, packaging materials, and the product exactly as received and take clear photographs of the packaging and any visible damage.

Reporting damage promptly is important because carriers and manufacturers have limited timeframes for filing freight and shipping claims.

If you receive an incorrect product or believe there is a manufacturer defect, please contact us before returning or disposing of any merchandise or packaging so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.

Refused Deliveries

Please contact us before refusing a delivery unless the shipment has obvious significant freight damage and the carrier is documenting the damage at delivery.

A shipment that is refused for reasons unrelated to verified shipping damage may be treated as a standard return. Applicable restocking and shipping charges may therefore be deducted from the refund.

Return Shipping Deadline

Once a return has been approved and return instructions or a return label have been issued, the merchandise must be shipped within 72 hours unless MedCare Mobility provides different instructions in writing.

This is particularly important when a return is approaching the end of the applicable return period. Returns shipped outside the authorized timeframe may be refused by the manufacturer or warehouse and may no longer qualify for a refund.

Refund Processing

Refunds are processed after the returned merchandise has been received and inspected by the applicable warehouse or manufacturer and the return has been confirmed to meet the return requirements.

The applicable restocking fee, shipping charges associated with the order, and any other authorized return-related charges will be deducted from the amount eligible for refund.

If returned merchandise is used, damaged, incomplete, missing original packaging or components, or otherwise returned in a condition that prevents the manufacturer or warehouse from accepting it as new and resalable merchandise, the return may be refused or the refund may be reduced in accordance with the manufacturer’s assessment.

Custom & Made-to-Order Products

Products identified as custom, configured, made-to-order, special-order, or manufactured specifically for the customer cannot generally be canceled once production or manufacturer processing has begun and are not eligible for standard returns.

For custom products, cancellation may only be possible during the initial processing period and before production or customization begins. Because production schedules vary by manufacturer, we encourage customers to contact us immediately if a change is required.

If a custom product arrives damaged or has a legitimate manufacturing defect, we will work with the manufacturer to pursue the appropriate resolution, replacement components, repair, or other available remedy under the applicable manufacturer policy or warranty.

Questions Before Ordering?

Medical equipment can vary considerably in size, configuration, compatibility, and intended use. If you are unsure whether a product will work for your needs, we strongly encourage you to contact us before placing your order.

Our team is happy to help review product specifications, dimensions, options, compatibility, and available manufacturer information so you can make a more informed purchasing decision and reduce the possibility of needing a return.

For shipping, return, or product questions, contact us at info@medcaremobility.com or speak with us through the live chat on our website.
