Description

Deluxe Adjustable Alternating Pressure Pad System for Pressure Relief & Bedridden Patient Care

The Protekt® Aire 1500 Deluxe Adjustable Alternating Pressure Pad System is a therapeutic alternating pressure pad designed to help redistribute pressure, improve patient comfort, support circulation, and assist caregivers caring for patients spending extended periods in bed.

Designed for use directly on top of an existing mattress, this advanced alternating pressure mattress pad continuously cycles air through individual air chambers to help reduce prolonged pressure concentration that can develop during long-term bed rest and limited mobility situations.

The Protekt® Aire 1500 is an excellent solution for:

  • ✔️ Elderly patients with limited mobility
  • ✔️ Bedridden individuals
  • ✔️ Homecare recovery patients
  • ✔️ Hospice and palliative care environments
  • ✔️ Post-surgical recovery patients
  • ✔️ Individuals vulnerable to skin breakdown
  • ✔️ Caregivers needing a simple pressure redistribution system
  • ✔️ Hospital bed users requiring added pressure relief support

Unlike a standard foam topper or static mattress overlay, the Protekt® Aire 1500 actively alternates air pressure every 10 minutes to help reduce constant pressure buildup on sensitive body areas during extended bed rest.

How the Alternating Pressure Therapy Works

The Protekt® Aire 1500 uses a powered pump system that continuously alternates airflow between air chambers throughout the pad.

As the system cycles:

  • ✔️ Pressure shifts between different body areas
  • ✔️ Continuous pressure concentration is reduced
  • ✔️ Patient comfort improves
  • ✔️ Support circulation assistance increases
  • ✔️ Long-term bed pressure may be minimized
  • ✔️ Surface pressure redistribution improves

This alternating pressure process is especially important for individuals who:

  • ✔️ Spend most of the day in bed
  • ✔️ Cannot reposition independently
  • ✔️ Have limited movement ability
  • ✔️ Require ongoing pressure redistribution support
  • ✔️ Need a therapeutic hospital bed pressure pad

Why an Alternating Pressure Pad Matters

During long-term bed rest, constant pressure on the same body areas can increase discomfort and place stress on skin integrity.

The Protekt® Aire 1500 is engineered to help reduce this issue by continuously changing pressure points through dynamic airflow therapy.

Benefits may include:

  • ✔️ Improved comfort during long-term bed rest
  • ✔️ Better pressure redistribution support
  • ✔️ Reduced prolonged body pressure concentration
  • ✔️ Enhanced caregiver support assistance
  • ✔️ Added therapeutic support over existing mattresses
  • ✔️ Increased comfort for hospital bed users

This makes the system a valuable option for both homecare and professional healthcare environments.

Manual Adjustable Airflow Control

The integrated manual airflow adjustment knob allows caregivers to customize the firmness and support level based on individual patient comfort needs.

This helps provide:

  • ✔️ Personalized comfort adjustments
  • ✔️ Flexible therapeutic support
  • ✔️ Better patient positioning support
  • ✔️ Improved comfort tolerance
  • ✔️ Easier caregiver management

The simple control design makes the system easy to operate in:

  • ✔️ Homecare settings
  • ✔️ Assisted living environments
  • ✔️ Skilled nursing facilities
  • ✔️ Rehab centers
  • ✔️ Hospital rooms

Designed for Stability & Safety

The Protekt® Aire 1500 includes built-in safety end flaps that help secure the overlay pad to the mattress surface.

This helps:

  • ✔️ Reduce pad shifting
  • ✔️ Improve overlay stability
  • ✔️ Help maintain positioning
  • ✔️ Improve caregiver confidence
  • ✔️ Increase patient comfort consistency

The hanging bed hooks also allow the pump to mount securely onto the bed frame for convenient operation and accessibility.

Medical Grade Therapeutic Construction

The overlay pad is constructed from:
Medical grade fire-retardant PVC

This therapeutic-grade material helps provide:

  • ✔️ Durability for daily patient care
  • ✔️ Long-term reliability
  • ✔️ Easy maintenance and cleaning
  • ✔️ Flexible pressure support performance
  • ✔️ Hospital and homecare suitability

The 11.5-gauge construction offers a balance between comfort, durability, and therapeutic airflow performance.
