Description

Stander EZ Stand-N-Go HD 9220: Heavy Duty Couch Stand Assist Rated for 400 lb

The Stander EZ Stand-N-Go HD (item 9220) is a heavy duty stand assist for couches, chairs and recliners. It puts a padded handle on each side of your seat, and its reinforced steel frame is rated for 400 pounds, which makes it Stander’s bariatric option in the EZ Stand-N-Go line.
The frame slides under a removable seat cushion, or wraps around a fixed one, and its legs adjust down to the floor for extra stability while you stand. Width, depth and handle height all adjust to fit your furniture.
There’s nothing to drill and no straps. The cushion and your seat hold the frame in place, and the floor legs add support underneath.

Why Choose the Stander EZ Stand-N-Go HD?

Larger adults often find that standard stand aids feel flimsy or are rated too low. The EZ Stand-N-Go HD keeps the same easy under-cushion design but adds a reinforced frame rated for 400 lb, so you can push up with both hands with confidence. As an authorized Stander dealer we ship it nationwide. Questions about fit? Call us at 585-505-6665.

Who Is the EZ Stand-N-Go HD Best For?

The EZ Stand-N-Go HD is a good fit for:

  • Larger adults who need a stand assist rated above 300 lb
  • Anyone who struggles to get up from a couch, sofa, armchair or recliner
  • People who want to push up with both hands for balance
  • Seats with cushions 19 to 26 inches wide and 24 to 27 inches deep
  • Users up to Stander’s 400 lb rating

For more ways to make the home safer, see our home medical equipment knowledge base.

Who May Need a Different Stand Assist?

The EZ Stand-N-Go HD needs a couch or chair cushion within its fit range. It is never for use on a bed and it isn’t freestanding. If the user is well under 300 lb, the Stander EZ Stand-N-Go Plus is the lighter-duty version. If your furniture has four legs and you prefer one tall handle beside the seat, look at the Stander Chair Cane.

Rated for 400 lb

Stander reinforced the frame for heavy duty, bariatric support and rates it for 400 pounds (181 kg).

Two Padded Handles

The support handles are padded for a comfortable, secure grip, one on each side of you.

Legs Reach the Floor

Adjust the legs so they engage the floor. Stander lists a fit for seat cushions 14 to 21 inches above the ground.

Fits Under or Around the Cushion

Slide the frame under removable cushions, or between the cushions as far as it will go when the cushion is fixed or stitched.

Fully Adjustable

The frame adjusts to cushions 19 to 26 inches wide and 24 to 27 inches deep, and the handles adjust 7 to 11 inches above the frame.

EZ Stand-N-Go HD vs. EZ Stand-N-Go Plus

Both have two padded handles, floor legs and the same fit range. The difference is capacity:

If the user is near or above 300 lb, the HD is the right choice.

Common Problem → EZ Stand-N-Go HD Solution

Problem: Mark is about 340 lb and the stand aid his family bought is only rated for 250 lb, so he still pushes off the armrest of his recliner, which wobbles.

Solution: The EZ Stand-N-Go HD goes under his recliner cushion with a handle on each side. Its 400 lb frame and floor legs give him a firm push point with both hands.

“Will it block the recliner?” Check that the leg rest is clear of the frame, and follow Stander’s manual when fitting it.

Safety Notes

From Stander’s instructions:

  • For adult use only. Stander says it’s never to be used by people with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or restlessness, or by anyone who is sedated, confused or frail.
  • It gives minimal to moderate weight support while standing. It is not made to carry a person’s full weight.
  • Don’t use it on lightweight furniture that could shift. Stop using it if it moves out of position until it’s readjusted.
  • Never use it on a bed, and don’t attach anything else to it.
  • Stop using it if anything is damaged, broken or missing, and check the fit and hardware regularly.
  • If it is used in a nursing home or assisted living facility, follow the facility’s policies.

Care & Cleaning

Stander says to clean it with warm water and soap and dry it thoroughly before use. Check now and then that it is still positioned correctly and the hardware is tight.

What’s Included

The frame and base tubes, two padded handle assemblies, the floor legs and the hardware for assembly. Assembly is required; Stander’s manual shows each step.

Warranty

Stander’s instructions list a limited lifetime warranty for the original purchaser against defects in material and workmanship (register the product with Stander). Call us at 585-505-6665 with any warranty question.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Stander EZ Stand-N-Go HD?

It is a heavy duty stand assist with two padded handles and floor legs. The frame goes under or around your couch or chair cushion, so you have a handle on each side to push on when you stand up or sit down.

How much weight does it support?

Stander rates the EZ Stand-N-Go HD for 400 pounds. It gives minimal to moderate support while standing, not a full lift.

What size couch or chair does it fit?

Stander says it fits seat cushions 19 to 26 inches wide, 24 to 27 inches deep and 14 to 21 inches above the floor. Measure your cushion before you order.

Does it go under or over the seat cushion?

Either. If your cushions are removable, slide the frame underneath. If the cushion is fixed or stitched, slide it between the cushions as far as it will go.

How high do the handles adjust?

The handles adjust 7 to 11 inches above the frame. The final height depends on your seat cushion and how the frame is installed.

What is the difference between the HD and the Plus?

Both have two handles and floor legs. The HD has a reinforced frame rated for 400 lb; the Plus is rated for 300 lb.

Can I use it on a bed?

No. Stander says it cannot be installed on a bed and is not for freestanding use.

Is assembly required?

Yes. You set the width and depth, attach the handles and legs, and adjust the legs to reach the floor. Stander’s manual shows each step.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping & Return Policy

At MedCare Mobility, we understand that purchasing medical and mobility equipment is an important decision. Our goal is to make the ordering, delivery, and return process as clear and straightforward as possible.

Because many of the products we offer are large, specialized, or shipped directly from manufacturer and distributor warehouses, shipping and return requirements may vary somewhat by product and brand. The policy below explains what you can generally expect when ordering from MedCare Mobility.

Shipping & Order Processing

We ship medical and mobility equipment to customers throughout the United States. Orders are processed as quickly as possible, and tracking information is provided once available.

Processing Time

Most in-stock orders are processed within approximately 1–3 business days. Processing may include order verification, warehouse preparation, packaging, and coordination with the manufacturer or distributor.

Some specialty equipment, made-to-order products, oversized items, or products shipping directly from a manufacturer may require additional processing time. Any estimated processing or lead time shown on an individual product page should be considered part of the expected fulfillment timeframe for that item.

Transit & Delivery Time

Once shipped, many standard orders arrive within approximately 3–7 business days. Larger medical equipment, freight shipments, specialty products, and certain manufacturer-direct orders may require additional transit time.

Tracking information will generally be emailed once the shipment has been processed by the carrier. If you have questions regarding the status of your order, please contact us at info@medcaremobility.com.

Alaska, Hawaii & Special Shipping Areas

Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and certain remote or limited-access areas may be subject to additional shipping charges. If an additional charge is required after your order is reviewed, we will contact you before proceeding whenever additional payment is necessary.

Freight & Oversized Equipment

Hospital beds, patient lifts, large recliners, ramps, and other oversized medical equipment may ship by freight rather than standard parcel service. Unless a specific delivery service is stated on the product page or order, freight delivery does not automatically include inside delivery, assembly, installation, or removal of packaging.

30-Day Return Policy

We want you to feel comfortable ordering from MedCare Mobility. Most eligible products may be returned when a return is requested within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions and exclusions outlined below.

Eligible products generally include:

  • Electric and power wheelchairs
  • Manual and lightweight wheelchairs
  • Mobility scooters
  • Walkers and rollators
  • Patient lifts
  • Wheelchair ramps
  • Hospital and homecare beds
  • Eligible medical mattresses
  • Geriatric and medical recliner chairs
  • Overbed tables
  • Bathroom benches and shower chairs
  • Other eligible medical and mobility equipment

Return eligibility can vary by manufacturer and product type. Products specifically identified as non-returnable, custom, made-to-order, or otherwise subject to special return terms are governed by those terms.

Return Authorization

Please contact us before shipping any product back. Returns must first be approved and issued a Return Authorization (RA) and the appropriate return shipping address.

You may request a return by emailing info@medcaremobility.com or contacting our customer service team through the live chat on our website.

Please do not return merchandise to an address shown on the original shipping label unless specifically instructed to do so. Many products ship directly from manufacturer or distributor warehouses, and the correct return location may be different from the original shipping location.

Condition of Returned Merchandise

To qualify for a return and refund, the product must be returned:

  • In brand-new and unused condition
  • In its complete original manufacturer packaging
  • With all manuals, components, hardware, accessories, and included materials
  • Without damage, modification, assembly wear, stains, odors, or other signs of use
  • In resalable condition upon inspection by the receiving warehouse or manufacturer

We strongly recommend keeping the original box, pallet, protective materials, and packaging until you are certain that you intend to keep the equipment. Large medical equipment can be difficult or impossible to return safely without its original packaging.

Restocking Fees

Approved returns are subject to a mandatory restocking fee, generally ranging from 15% to 20% of the applicable product price. The exact restocking percentage varies depending on the manufacturer, brand, and type of equipment being returned.

These restocking charges are assessed to us by the manufacturer or distributing warehouse when merchandise is returned. MedCare Mobility does not add the fee simply as a return penalty; when the manufacturer requires the charge, we must pass the applicable amount through as part of processing the return.

If you would like to know the applicable restocking percentage for a particular product before ordering, please contact us and we will be happy to help whenever that information is available from the manufacturer.

Return Shipping & Shipping Charges

The customer is responsible for shipping charges associated with the order when making a standard return.

Customers are responsible for arranging for the approved merchandise to be returned to the return address provided with the Return Authorization. In certain cases, we may be able to provide a prepaid return label or coordinate return transportation for your convenience. When provided, the applicable shipping cost may be deducted from the final refund.

Because some medical equipment is oversized or requires freight transportation, prepaid labels or carrier call tags may not be available for every product. Our customer service team will provide the available return instructions when your return is authorized.

Non-Returnable Products

For health, hygiene, safety, customization, and manufacturer-policy reasons, certain products are not eligible for standard returns.

We currently do not accept returns on:

  • Parts & accessories
  • Wheelchair cushions and support accessories
  • Patient lift slings
  • Custom or made-to-order products
  • Products specifically identified as non-returnable on the product page

If a non-returnable product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us promptly. Non-returnable status does not prevent us from assisting with a legitimate shipping damage, defect, warranty, or fulfillment issue in accordance with the applicable manufacturer and carrier procedures.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

We take shipping damage seriously and will work with you to help resolve legitimate delivery issues.

If your product arrives damaged, please notify MedCare Mobility within 48 hours of delivery. Whenever possible, retain the shipping carton, pallet, packaging materials, and the product exactly as received and take clear photographs of the packaging and any visible damage.

Reporting damage promptly is important because carriers and manufacturers have limited timeframes for filing freight and shipping claims.

If you receive an incorrect product or believe there is a manufacturer defect, please contact us before returning or disposing of any merchandise or packaging so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.

Refused Deliveries

Please contact us before refusing a delivery unless the shipment has obvious significant freight damage and the carrier is documenting the damage at delivery.

A shipment that is refused for reasons unrelated to verified shipping damage may be treated as a standard return. Applicable restocking and shipping charges may therefore be deducted from the refund.

Return Shipping Deadline

Once a return has been approved and return instructions or a return label have been issued, the merchandise must be shipped within 72 hours unless MedCare Mobility provides different instructions in writing.

This is particularly important when a return is approaching the end of the applicable return period. Returns shipped outside the authorized timeframe may be refused by the manufacturer or warehouse and may no longer qualify for a refund.

Refund Processing

Refunds are processed after the returned merchandise has been received and inspected by the applicable warehouse or manufacturer and the return has been confirmed to meet the return requirements.

The applicable restocking fee, shipping charges associated with the order, and any other authorized return-related charges will be deducted from the amount eligible for refund.

If returned merchandise is used, damaged, incomplete, missing original packaging or components, or otherwise returned in a condition that prevents the manufacturer or warehouse from accepting it as new and resalable merchandise, the return may be refused or the refund may be reduced in accordance with the manufacturer’s assessment.

Custom & Made-to-Order Products

Products identified as custom, configured, made-to-order, special-order, or manufactured specifically for the customer cannot generally be canceled once production or manufacturer processing has begun and are not eligible for standard returns.

For custom products, cancellation may only be possible during the initial processing period and before production or customization begins. Because production schedules vary by manufacturer, we encourage customers to contact us immediately if a change is required.

If a custom product arrives damaged or has a legitimate manufacturing defect, we will work with the manufacturer to pursue the appropriate resolution, replacement components, repair, or other available remedy under the applicable manufacturer policy or warranty.

Questions Before Ordering?

Medical equipment can vary considerably in size, configuration, compatibility, and intended use. If you are unsure whether a product will work for your needs, we strongly encourage you to contact us before placing your order.

Our team is happy to help review product specifications, dimensions, options, compatibility, and available manufacturer information so you can make a more informed purchasing decision and reduce the possibility of needing a return.

For shipping, return, or product questions, contact us at info@medcaremobility.com or speak with us through the live chat on our website.
