Description
Stander Wonder EZ Adjust Bed Rail – Adjustable Length Bed Rail and Support Handle for Thicker Mattresses
The Stander Wonder EZ Adjust Bed Rail is an adjustable length bed rail for regular home beds. The rail slides out from 20 to 30 inches, so you can set it short for easy getting in and out, or longer for more protection against rolling out at night. The front works as a support handle when sitting up or standing.
This EZ adjust bed rail is made for thicker mattresses: Stander says it fits mattresses 10 to 14 inches thick, Twin through California King, and the rail stands 20 inches from the base of the mattress. The powder-coated steel frame weighs 10 pounds, and Stander rates the handle to support 300 pounds.
Like every Stander bed rail in this line, it straps to the bed frame with the included safety strap and comes with a multi-pocket organizer pouch. Stander says it passed the ASTM F3186-17 safety standard for adult portable bed rails.
Why Choose the Stander Wonder EZ Adjust Bed Rail?
Many people with a deep pillow-top or a tall mattress find that a standard home bed rail barely clears the mattress. The EZ Adjust is sized for that: it fits 10 to 14 inch mattresses and has a 20-inch rail height measured from the base of the mattress.
The length adjustment is the other reason people pick it. A shorter rail leaves a wide opening at the side of the bed for getting in and out; a longer rail gives more side coverage while sleeping. It’s also light at 10 pounds, which makes setup simple. As an authorized dealer and provider, we ship it fast nationwide and deliver it to your door. Call us at 585-505-6665 with any fit questions.
Who Is the Wonder EZ Adjust Bed Rail Best For?
This rail suits:
- Adults who want a steady handle for sitting up, standing and turning in bed
- Beds with a thicker mattress, 10 to 14 inches deep
- People who want to choose how much of the bed side the rail covers
- Traditional beds with box springs, platforms or slats, Twin to California King
- Users up to Stander’s 300 lb handle rating
For more help planning a safer bedroom, see our hospital bed knowledge base.
Who May Need a Different Bed Rail?
Choose another rail if the bed is adjustable (Stander says never use it on an adjustable bed), if the mattress is under 10 inches or over 14 inches thick, or if the mattress is extra soft. For an 8 to 12 inch mattress, or if you want the rail to fold out of the way during the day, look at the Stander Wonder Pivot Bed Rail. Stander also says the rail must not be used by people with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, or anyone sedated, confused or frail. For hospital beds, see our bed rails and hospital bed accessories.
Length Adjusts From 20 to 30 Inches
The rail extends from 20 to 30 inches. The extending side always goes toward the foot of the bed. Set it shorter when the person gets in and out often, and longer when the goal is more protection at night. Unlike the Wonder Pivot, this rail doesn’t fold down; it stays upright at the length you choose.
Support Handle Rated for 300 lb
Stander rates the support handle for 300 pounds (136 kg). Grip it for balance and leverage when you sit up, swing your legs out and stand. Stander describes it as minimal to moderate weight support, so it’s for steadying, not lifting.
Made for 10 to 14 Inch Mattresses
Stander lists a fit range of 10 to 14 inches of mattress thickness, Twin to California King, on traditional beds with box springs, platforms or slats. The rail stands 20 inches from the base of the mattress, and Stander’s manual requires the top of the rail to be at least 4 inches above the mattress surface. Measure your mattress before you order.
Wonder EZ Adjust Bed Rail vs. Wonder Pivot Bed Rail
Both are Stander portable bed rails with a 300 lb handle, a safety strap and a pouch, and both are for traditional beds only. Here’s how they differ:
- Wonder EZ Adjust: length adjusts 20″ to 30″; the rail stays up; 20″ rail height; fits 10″ to 14″ mattresses; 10 lb.
- Wonder Pivot: length 26″, 32″ or 38.5″; the railing pivots down 180°; 18″ rail height; fits 8″ to 12″ mattresses; 15 lb.
Thicker mattress? Go with the EZ Adjust. Want the rail out of the way during the day? Go with the Pivot.
Common Problem → Wonder EZ Adjust Bed Rail Solution
Problem: Dad’s new pillow-top mattress is 13 inches thick, and the rail he had before barely sticks up above it.
Solution: The EZ Adjust is made for 10 to 14 inch mattresses and has a 20-inch rail height from the base of the mattress. Set the length to 30 inches at night and slide it shorter if he finds it in the way when getting up.
“Is a pillow-top too soft?” Do Stander’s test first: press 12 lb onto a 4″ x 4″ spot at the edge. If it sinks more than 2 inches, add Stander’s Bed Rail Safety Guard.
Safety Notes
Stander’s owner’s manual is direct about bed rail safety, and so are we:
- Entrapment risk. Stander warns that there’s a risk of entrapment with all bed rails. A person can get caught in gaps around the rail, mattress or bed frame, and that can cause serious injury or death.
- Who shouldn’t use it. Stander says the rail is never to be used by people with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or restlessness, or by anyone who is sedated, confused or frail. It’s for adults only, never children, and it’s never to be used as a restraint.
- No gaps, no slack. Use it only when the rail is tight against the side of the mattress with no gap and the safety strap has no slack. Stop using it right away if a gap appears or the rail shifts.
- Placement. Keep the rail at least 12.5 inches from the headboard and the footboard, and make sure the top of the rail sits at least 4 inches above the top of the mattress.
- Mattress. Use it only on a mattress 10 to 14 inches thick. Never use it on an adjustable bed, on toddler, bunk, water or inflatable beds, or with a mattress topper or soft compressible pad. Stander’s soft-mattress test: press 12 lb onto a 4″ x 4″ area at the mattress edge; if it sinks more than 2 inches, don’t use the rail without Stander’s Bed Rail Safety Guard (item 2400/2450, sold separately; ask us).
- One rail per side. Never put two bed rails on the same side of the bed.
In a nursing home or assisted living facility, follow the facility’s bed rail policies too. Questions about your bed or mattress? Call us at 585-505-6665 before you order.
Care & Cleaning
Stander says to clean the rail with warm water and soap and dry it thoroughly before use. Check regularly that the rail is snug against the mattress with no gap and the safety strap has no slack.
What’s Included
The rail, two legs, the safety guard, the safety strap, a multi-pocket organizer pouch, and the hardware and tool for assembly. Assembly is required; Stander’s user manual shows each step.
Warranty
Stander’s owner’s manual lists a limited lifetime warranty for the original purchaser against defects in material and workmanship, when the rail is installed and used as Stander instructs. Call us at 585-505-6665 with any warranty question.

Shipping & Returns
Shipping & Return Policy
At MedCare Mobility, we understand that purchasing medical and mobility equipment is an important decision. Our goal is to make the ordering, delivery, and return process as clear and straightforward as possible.
Because many of the products we offer are large, specialized, or shipped directly from manufacturer and distributor warehouses, shipping and return requirements may vary somewhat by product and brand. The policy below explains what you can generally expect when ordering from MedCare Mobility.
Shipping & Order Processing
We ship medical and mobility equipment to customers throughout the United States. Orders are processed as quickly as possible, and tracking information is provided once available.
Processing Time
Most in-stock orders are processed within approximately 1–3 business days. Processing may include order verification, warehouse preparation, packaging, and coordination with the manufacturer or distributor.
Some specialty equipment, made-to-order products, oversized items, or products shipping directly from a manufacturer may require additional processing time. Any estimated processing or lead time shown on an individual product page should be considered part of the expected fulfillment timeframe for that item.
Transit & Delivery Time
Once shipped, many standard orders arrive within approximately 3–7 business days. Larger medical equipment, freight shipments, specialty products, and certain manufacturer-direct orders may require additional transit time.
Tracking information will generally be emailed once the shipment has been processed by the carrier. If you have questions regarding the status of your order, please contact us at info@medcaremobility.com.
Alaska, Hawaii & Special Shipping Areas
Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and certain remote or limited-access areas may be subject to additional shipping charges. If an additional charge is required after your order is reviewed, we will contact you before proceeding whenever additional payment is necessary.
Freight & Oversized Equipment
Hospital beds, patient lifts, large recliners, ramps, and other oversized medical equipment may ship by freight rather than standard parcel service. Unless a specific delivery service is stated on the product page or order, freight delivery does not automatically include inside delivery, assembly, installation, or removal of packaging.
30-Day Return Policy
We want you to feel comfortable ordering from MedCare Mobility. Most eligible products may be returned when a return is requested within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions and exclusions outlined below.
Eligible products generally include:
- Electric and power wheelchairs
- Manual and lightweight wheelchairs
- Mobility scooters
- Walkers and rollators
- Patient lifts
- Wheelchair ramps
- Hospital and homecare beds
- Eligible medical mattresses
- Geriatric and medical recliner chairs
- Overbed tables
- Bathroom benches and shower chairs
- Other eligible medical and mobility equipment
Return eligibility can vary by manufacturer and product type. Products specifically identified as non-returnable, custom, made-to-order, or otherwise subject to special return terms are governed by those terms.
Return Authorization
Please contact us before shipping any product back. Returns must first be approved and issued a Return Authorization (RA) and the appropriate return shipping address.
You may request a return by emailing info@medcaremobility.com or contacting our customer service team through the live chat on our website.
Please do not return merchandise to an address shown on the original shipping label unless specifically instructed to do so. Many products ship directly from manufacturer or distributor warehouses, and the correct return location may be different from the original shipping location.
Condition of Returned Merchandise
To qualify for a return and refund, the product must be returned:
- In brand-new and unused condition
- In its complete original manufacturer packaging
- With all manuals, components, hardware, accessories, and included materials
- Without damage, modification, assembly wear, stains, odors, or other signs of use
- In resalable condition upon inspection by the receiving warehouse or manufacturer
We strongly recommend keeping the original box, pallet, protective materials, and packaging until you are certain that you intend to keep the equipment. Large medical equipment can be difficult or impossible to return safely without its original packaging.
Restocking Fees
Approved returns are subject to a mandatory restocking fee, generally ranging from 15% to 20% of the applicable product price. The exact restocking percentage varies depending on the manufacturer, brand, and type of equipment being returned.
These restocking charges are assessed to us by the manufacturer or distributing warehouse when merchandise is returned. MedCare Mobility does not add the fee simply as a return penalty; when the manufacturer requires the charge, we must pass the applicable amount through as part of processing the return.
If you would like to know the applicable restocking percentage for a particular product before ordering, please contact us and we will be happy to help whenever that information is available from the manufacturer.
Return Shipping & Shipping Charges
The customer is responsible for shipping charges associated with the order when making a standard return.
Customers are responsible for arranging for the approved merchandise to be returned to the return address provided with the Return Authorization. In certain cases, we may be able to provide a prepaid return label or coordinate return transportation for your convenience. When provided, the applicable shipping cost may be deducted from the final refund.
Because some medical equipment is oversized or requires freight transportation, prepaid labels or carrier call tags may not be available for every product. Our customer service team will provide the available return instructions when your return is authorized.
Non-Returnable Products
For health, hygiene, safety, customization, and manufacturer-policy reasons, certain products are not eligible for standard returns.
We currently do not accept returns on:
- Parts & accessories
- Wheelchair cushions and support accessories
- Patient lift slings
- Custom or made-to-order products
- Products specifically identified as non-returnable on the product page
If a non-returnable product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us promptly. Non-returnable status does not prevent us from assisting with a legitimate shipping damage, defect, warranty, or fulfillment issue in accordance with the applicable manufacturer and carrier procedures.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
We take shipping damage seriously and will work with you to help resolve legitimate delivery issues.
If your product arrives damaged, please notify MedCare Mobility within 48 hours of delivery. Whenever possible, retain the shipping carton, pallet, packaging materials, and the product exactly as received and take clear photographs of the packaging and any visible damage.
Reporting damage promptly is important because carriers and manufacturers have limited timeframes for filing freight and shipping claims.
If you receive an incorrect product or believe there is a manufacturer defect, please contact us before returning or disposing of any merchandise or packaging so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.
Refused Deliveries
Please contact us before refusing a delivery unless the shipment has obvious significant freight damage and the carrier is documenting the damage at delivery.
A shipment that is refused for reasons unrelated to verified shipping damage may be treated as a standard return. Applicable restocking and shipping charges may therefore be deducted from the refund.
Return Shipping Deadline
Once a return has been approved and return instructions or a return label have been issued, the merchandise must be shipped within 72 hours unless MedCare Mobility provides different instructions in writing.
This is particularly important when a return is approaching the end of the applicable return period. Returns shipped outside the authorized timeframe may be refused by the manufacturer or warehouse and may no longer qualify for a refund.
Refund Processing
Refunds are processed after the returned merchandise has been received and inspected by the applicable warehouse or manufacturer and the return has been confirmed to meet the return requirements.
The applicable restocking fee, shipping charges associated with the order, and any other authorized return-related charges will be deducted from the amount eligible for refund.
If returned merchandise is used, damaged, incomplete, missing original packaging or components, or otherwise returned in a condition that prevents the manufacturer or warehouse from accepting it as new and resalable merchandise, the return may be refused or the refund may be reduced in accordance with the manufacturer’s assessment.
Custom & Made-to-Order Products
Products identified as custom, configured, made-to-order, special-order, or manufactured specifically for the customer cannot generally be canceled once production or manufacturer processing has begun and are not eligible for standard returns.
For custom products, cancellation may only be possible during the initial processing period and before production or customization begins. Because production schedules vary by manufacturer, we encourage customers to contact us immediately if a change is required.
If a custom product arrives damaged or has a legitimate manufacturing defect, we will work with the manufacturer to pursue the appropriate resolution, replacement components, repair, or other available remedy under the applicable manufacturer policy or warranty.
Questions Before Ordering?
Medical equipment can vary considerably in size, configuration, compatibility, and intended use. If you are unsure whether a product will work for your needs, we strongly encourage you to contact us before placing your order.
Our team is happy to help review product specifications, dimensions, options, compatibility, and available manufacturer information so you can make a more informed purchasing decision and reduce the possibility of needing a return.
For shipping, return, or product questions, contact us at info@medcaremobility.com or speak with us through the live chat on our website.
