Description
Graham-Field Wood Overbed Table – Cocobala Wood-Grain Flat Top on an H Base, 21″ to 32″ or 27.75″ to 40″
This Graham-Field wood overbed table is the kind you see in better care facilities: a laminated Cocobala wood-grain top with vinyl edges on a grey epoxy-finished steel base. It looks like furniture, not hospital equipment, and it slides over a bed or a chair for meals, reading, a laptop or a puzzle.
It’s an overbed table with wood top and a flat edge, built on Graham-Field’s modified “H” base so it can reach over a bed or a recliner. The top raises and lowers with automatic, infinite stops, so it holds at any height inside its range instead of jumping between preset notches.
Pick the height range in the dropdown above: Low rise (21″ to 32″) for low beds and lower chairs, or Standard rise (27.75″ to 40″) for most hospital beds. Either way you get the same wood grain overbed table top, rated by Graham-Field for 40 lb, evenly distributed.
Why Choose This Graham-Field Overbed Table?
Most home overbed tables are plain white or grey plastic. This one has a plastic-laminated wood finish in Cocobala, with vinyl edges that are kind to forearms and doorframes, so it fits in a bedroom or living room. The H base is low profile, which lets it slide under beds with limited clearance, and the top stops wherever you let go of it. Graham-Field gives it a one-year warranty.
Who Is This Overbed Table Best For?
This table is a good fit for:
- Anyone eating, reading or working in bed or in a lift chair or recliner
- Home hospital bed setups where the family wants the room to look less clinical
- Low and ultra-low beds (choose Low rise)
- Standard-height hospital beds and higher chairs (choose Standard rise)
- Light everyday loads: a meal tray, a laptop, books, a tablet, a water jug

Who May Need a Different Table?
- Heavier loads: this table is rated for 40 lb, evenly distributed. Don’t lean on it or use it to push up from bed.
- Anyone who wants a raised edge to catch spills: this is the flat-top version.
- Anyone who needs a tilting top for reading or drawing: GF doesn’t list a tilt feature for this table. Ask us about other models.
- Budget shoppers: the Lumex Composite Non-Tilt Overbed Table is a simpler option, or browse all Medical Bedside Tables.
Cocobala Wood-Grain Top With Vinyl Edges
The top has a plastic-laminated wood finish in Graham-Field’s Cocobala color, with vinyl edges. It’s a flat top, so a tray or laptop sits level and slides off easily when you clear it.
Height Adjusts With Infinite Stops
Graham-Field builds the lift with automatic, infinite stops inside the height range, so the top holds exactly where you set it. You can set it just above the user’s lap in bed, or a little higher when they’re sitting up in a chair.
Modified “H” Base for Bed or Chair
The base has grey epoxy finish and a modified “H” shape. That shape lets the base slide under a bed or straddle the front of a chair, so the top reaches over the user from either side. The low-profile design is made for beds with limited clearance underneath.
Choosing Your Options
There’s one dropdown: Height Range. The top, base style, finish and 40 lb rating are the same on both; only the height range changes.
| Height Range | Lowest | Highest | Best for | Graham-Field code |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Low rise | 21″ | 32″ | Low and ultra-low beds, lower chairs | A793020 |
| Standard rise | 27.75″ | 40″ | Most hospital beds, recliners and lift chairs, higher seats | A797020 |
How to pick: measure from the floor to the top of the mattress (or the chair seat), then add room for the user’s lap and legs. The table needs to go a little higher than that. If the bed sits very low to the floor, the Low rise version can come down to 21″. If the bed is a standard home hospital bed, or the user likes the top higher for sitting up straight, the Standard rise reaches 40″. Not sure? Call us at 585-505-6665 with the bed model and we’ll check.
Wood Top Overbed Table vs. a Composite Overbed Table
A composite overbed table like the Lumex Composite Non-Tilt Overbed Table is built for function first. This Graham-Field table has a laminated wood-grain top and a choice of height range, so it’s the better fit when the table is staying in a bedroom or living room long term and you want it to look like furniture.
Common Problem → Graham-Field Overbed Table Solution
Problem: Grandpa’s new low hospital bed sits close to the floor for safety. The old tray table only goes down so far, so his plate ends up near his chest and he spills.
Solution: The Low rise version comes down to 21″ and stops at any height above that, so the family can set his plate just above his lap. The H base slides under the low bed, and the wood-grain top matches the bedroom furniture.
“Can he still use it in his recliner during the day?” Yes. The H base works with a chair as well as a bed; just check that his recliner seat plus his lap fits under the 32″ top setting.
Sizing & Fit
- Height range: Low rise 21″ to 32″; Standard rise 27.75″ to 40″.
- Weight capacity: 40 lb, evenly distributed.
- Under the bed: the low-profile H base is made for beds with limited clearance. If the bed has very little space underneath, call us to check.
- Top size: Graham-Field doesn’t list the top dimensions on the pages we have. Ask us before ordering if space is tight.
Care & Cleaning
Wipe the laminate top and vinyl edges with a damp cloth and mild soap, then dry. Avoid abrasive pads, which can scratch the finish.
Warranty
Graham-Field lists a one-year warranty on this overbed table. Ask us for the full terms.

Shipping & Returns
Shipping & Return Policy
At MedCare Mobility, we understand that purchasing medical and mobility equipment is an important decision. Our goal is to make the ordering, delivery, and return process as clear and straightforward as possible.
Because many of the products we offer are large, specialized, or shipped directly from manufacturer and distributor warehouses, shipping and return requirements may vary somewhat by product and brand. The policy below explains what you can generally expect when ordering from MedCare Mobility.
Shipping & Order Processing
We ship medical and mobility equipment to customers throughout the United States. Orders are processed as quickly as possible, and tracking information is provided once available.
Processing Time
Most in-stock orders are processed within approximately 1–3 business days. Processing may include order verification, warehouse preparation, packaging, and coordination with the manufacturer or distributor.
Some specialty equipment, made-to-order products, oversized items, or products shipping directly from a manufacturer may require additional processing time. Any estimated processing or lead time shown on an individual product page should be considered part of the expected fulfillment timeframe for that item.
Transit & Delivery Time
Once shipped, many standard orders arrive within approximately 3–7 business days. Larger medical equipment, freight shipments, specialty products, and certain manufacturer-direct orders may require additional transit time.
Tracking information will generally be emailed once the shipment has been processed by the carrier. If you have questions regarding the status of your order, please contact us at info@medcaremobility.com.
Alaska, Hawaii & Special Shipping Areas
Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and certain remote or limited-access areas may be subject to additional shipping charges. If an additional charge is required after your order is reviewed, we will contact you before proceeding whenever additional payment is necessary.
Freight & Oversized Equipment
Hospital beds, patient lifts, large recliners, ramps, and other oversized medical equipment may ship by freight rather than standard parcel service. Unless a specific delivery service is stated on the product page or order, freight delivery does not automatically include inside delivery, assembly, installation, or removal of packaging.
30-Day Return Policy
We want you to feel comfortable ordering from MedCare Mobility. Most eligible products may be returned when a return is requested within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions and exclusions outlined below.
Eligible products generally include:
- Electric and power wheelchairs
- Manual and lightweight wheelchairs
- Mobility scooters
- Walkers and rollators
- Patient lifts
- Wheelchair ramps
- Hospital and homecare beds
- Eligible medical mattresses
- Geriatric and medical recliner chairs
- Overbed tables
- Bathroom benches and shower chairs
- Other eligible medical and mobility equipment
Return eligibility can vary by manufacturer and product type. Products specifically identified as non-returnable, custom, made-to-order, or otherwise subject to special return terms are governed by those terms.
Return Authorization
Please contact us before shipping any product back. Returns must first be approved and issued a Return Authorization (RA) and the appropriate return shipping address.
You may request a return by emailing info@medcaremobility.com or contacting our customer service team through the live chat on our website.
Please do not return merchandise to an address shown on the original shipping label unless specifically instructed to do so. Many products ship directly from manufacturer or distributor warehouses, and the correct return location may be different from the original shipping location.
Condition of Returned Merchandise
To qualify for a return and refund, the product must be returned:
- In brand-new and unused condition
- In its complete original manufacturer packaging
- With all manuals, components, hardware, accessories, and included materials
- Without damage, modification, assembly wear, stains, odors, or other signs of use
- In resalable condition upon inspection by the receiving warehouse or manufacturer
We strongly recommend keeping the original box, pallet, protective materials, and packaging until you are certain that you intend to keep the equipment. Large medical equipment can be difficult or impossible to return safely without its original packaging.
Restocking Fees
Approved returns are subject to a mandatory restocking fee, generally ranging from 15% to 20% of the applicable product price. The exact restocking percentage varies depending on the manufacturer, brand, and type of equipment being returned.
These restocking charges are assessed to us by the manufacturer or distributing warehouse when merchandise is returned. MedCare Mobility does not add the fee simply as a return penalty; when the manufacturer requires the charge, we must pass the applicable amount through as part of processing the return.
If you would like to know the applicable restocking percentage for a particular product before ordering, please contact us and we will be happy to help whenever that information is available from the manufacturer.
Return Shipping & Shipping Charges
The customer is responsible for shipping charges associated with the order when making a standard return.
Customers are responsible for arranging for the approved merchandise to be returned to the return address provided with the Return Authorization. In certain cases, we may be able to provide a prepaid return label or coordinate return transportation for your convenience. When provided, the applicable shipping cost may be deducted from the final refund.
Because some medical equipment is oversized or requires freight transportation, prepaid labels or carrier call tags may not be available for every product. Our customer service team will provide the available return instructions when your return is authorized.
Non-Returnable Products
For health, hygiene, safety, customization, and manufacturer-policy reasons, certain products are not eligible for standard returns.
We currently do not accept returns on:
- Parts & accessories
- Wheelchair cushions and support accessories
- Patient lift slings
- Custom or made-to-order products
- Products specifically identified as non-returnable on the product page
If a non-returnable product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us promptly. Non-returnable status does not prevent us from assisting with a legitimate shipping damage, defect, warranty, or fulfillment issue in accordance with the applicable manufacturer and carrier procedures.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
We take shipping damage seriously and will work with you to help resolve legitimate delivery issues.
If your product arrives damaged, please notify MedCare Mobility within 48 hours of delivery. Whenever possible, retain the shipping carton, pallet, packaging materials, and the product exactly as received and take clear photographs of the packaging and any visible damage.
Reporting damage promptly is important because carriers and manufacturers have limited timeframes for filing freight and shipping claims.
If you receive an incorrect product or believe there is a manufacturer defect, please contact us before returning or disposing of any merchandise or packaging so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.
Refused Deliveries
Please contact us before refusing a delivery unless the shipment has obvious significant freight damage and the carrier is documenting the damage at delivery.
A shipment that is refused for reasons unrelated to verified shipping damage may be treated as a standard return. Applicable restocking and shipping charges may therefore be deducted from the refund.
Return Shipping Deadline
Once a return has been approved and return instructions or a return label have been issued, the merchandise must be shipped within 72 hours unless MedCare Mobility provides different instructions in writing.
This is particularly important when a return is approaching the end of the applicable return period. Returns shipped outside the authorized timeframe may be refused by the manufacturer or warehouse and may no longer qualify for a refund.
Refund Processing
Refunds are processed after the returned merchandise has been received and inspected by the applicable warehouse or manufacturer and the return has been confirmed to meet the return requirements.
The applicable restocking fee, shipping charges associated with the order, and any other authorized return-related charges will be deducted from the amount eligible for refund.
If returned merchandise is used, damaged, incomplete, missing original packaging or components, or otherwise returned in a condition that prevents the manufacturer or warehouse from accepting it as new and resalable merchandise, the return may be refused or the refund may be reduced in accordance with the manufacturer’s assessment.
Custom & Made-to-Order Products
Products identified as custom, configured, made-to-order, special-order, or manufactured specifically for the customer cannot generally be canceled once production or manufacturer processing has begun and are not eligible for standard returns.
For custom products, cancellation may only be possible during the initial processing period and before production or customization begins. Because production schedules vary by manufacturer, we encourage customers to contact us immediately if a change is required.
If a custom product arrives damaged or has a legitimate manufacturing defect, we will work with the manufacturer to pursue the appropriate resolution, replacement components, repair, or other available remedy under the applicable manufacturer policy or warranty.
Questions Before Ordering?
Medical equipment can vary considerably in size, configuration, compatibility, and intended use. If you are unsure whether a product will work for your needs, we strongly encourage you to contact us before placing your order.
Our team is happy to help review product specifications, dimensions, options, compatibility, and available manufacturer information so you can make a more informed purchasing decision and reduce the possibility of needing a return.
For shipping, return, or product questions, contact us at info@medcaremobility.com or speak with us through the live chat on our website.
