Description
VOCIC AX12 Comfort Steady Toilet Seat Lift – Electric Toilet Lift Seat for Elderly, 330 lb Capacity
The VOCIC AX12 Comfort Steady is a toilet seat lift that sits over the toilet you already have. Press the button and the seat rises and tilts forward to help the user come up to standing, then lowers them back down slowly when it’s time to sit. VOCIC rates it for 330 lbs.
It’s an electric toilet seat lift with a wired hand control, plugged into a regular wall outlet. The frame is carbon steel with an electrostatic spray coating, the armrests retract to make room for transfers, and it goes in without tools. That makes it a practical toilet lift seat for elderly users who can still stand and walk, but struggle with the low, deep seat of a standard toilet.
This is the Standard AX12. The VOCIC AX12 PRO is the same lift with a wireless remote added. Both are authorized VOCIC products, shipped nationwide and delivered to your door.
Why Choose the VOCIC AX12 Toilet Seat Lift?
Getting off the toilet is one of the hardest moves of the day for someone with weak legs, sore knees or poor balance. The seat is low, there’s nothing solid to push against, and a lot of falls happen right there. A raised seat helps with height, but it doesn’t do any of the lifting.
The AX12 does. The motor raises the seat and tilts it forward, so the user’s weight moves over their feet the way it does when they stand up from a chair. They hold the armrests, the lift does the hard part, and a caregiver doesn’t have to pull them up. On the way down the seat lowers them instead of letting them drop.
Who Is the VOCIC AX12 Best For?
- Seniors who can stand and walk but can’t get up from a standard toilet on their own
- People with weak legs, stiff knees or hips, or limited strength in their arms
- Users up to 330 lbs
- Caregivers who are tired of lifting someone off the toilet several times a day
- Homes where drilling into the floor or walls isn’t an option
- Anyone who wants a simple wired control with nothing to charge or lose
For more ways to make the bathroom safer, read our Guide to Bathroom Safety for Seniors.
Who May Need a Different Toilet Seat Lift?
If the user weighs more than 330 lbs, the AX12 isn’t rated for them. If they can’t bear weight on their legs at all, a seat lift won’t help them stand, and a rolling shower commode chair like the VOCIC XZY08 Reclining Shower Chair with Wheels may be the safer setup. If they only need a taller seat and can stand up on their own once it’s higher, a simpler riser from our Toilet Seat Risers may be all they need. If a caregiver would rather work the lift from across the room, or the user wants a remote they can hold, choose the AX12 PRO. And check the fit chart under Sizing & Fit before you order, because the AX12 doesn’t suit every toilet.
330 lb Weight Capacity
VOCIC rates the AX12 for up to 330 lbs and describes the frame and motor as heavy duty. The molded metal frame is carbon steel with an electrostatic spray finish, and the lift itself weighs 44.1 lbs, so it stays planted over the bowl.
Lifts and Tilts the Seat Up to 20°
VOCIC lists a seat plate tilt of 0° to 20°. The seat plate’s effective lifting height is 4.7″ to 8.3″ at the front and 4.7″ to 14.6″ at the rear, so the back of the seat rises much more than the front. That’s what tips the user forward onto their feet. VOCIC lists a synchronous drive for the lift.
Wired Hand Control and Plug-In Power
The Standard AX12 runs from a wired hand control. It plugs into a wall outlet, and VOCIC lists the power supply as 110V to 220V, 50/60 Hz. VOCIC lists the motor noise at 50 dB or less.
Retractable Armrests
The armrests give the user something solid to hold while the seat lifts. They retract to open up more room around the body during a transfer, which helps when a caregiver is assisting from the side. VOCIC’s consumer listing calls them detachable handles.
Tool-Free Install Over Your Own Toilet
VOCIC calls the install one step with no tools. The AX12 sits over the existing bowl and takes no extra floor space beyond its own base. VOCIC says it suits about 85% of home bathrooms, and that its sizing fits more than 90% of users by height and weight. Check your toilet against the fit chart below first.
IPX4 Rating and 20,000-Cycle Service Life
VOCIC rates the AX12 IPX4, which means protection against splashing water, the kind of splashes a bathroom sees. It isn’t made to be hosed down or soaked. VOCIC tests the lift for 20,000 cycles of use.
VOCIC AX12 vs. AX12 PRO
Both lifts are rated for 330 lbs, carry an IPX4 rating, install over the toilet the same way and use the same toilet fit chart. The difference is mostly the controls.
- AX12 Standard (this lift): wired hand control only, 44.1 lb lift, carbon steel frame with electrostatic spray coating, seat tilt 0° to 20°
- AX12 PRO: wired hand control plus a rechargeable wireless remote, 40 lb lift, carbon steel and plastic, VOCIC lists a 0° to 15° tilt, an 8.8″ handrail height, an 8 mm/s lifting speed and a cord of about 6.5 ft
Pick the AX12 if the user will run the lift themselves from the seat. Pick the PRO if a caregiver wants to run it with a remote, or if a spare control in the room would help.
Common Problem → VOCIC AX12 Solution
Problem: Mom can sit down on the toilet fine, but getting back up takes both hands on the grab bar and someone pulling her arm. Her knees are getting worse and the family is worried she’ll fall when she’s alone.
Solution: The AX12 goes over her toilet with no drilling. When she’s done, she holds the armrests and presses the wired control. The seat rises and tilts forward up to 20°, bringing her weight over her feet, and she stands up without anyone lifting her.
“Will it fit our toilet?” Most likely, but measure first. Use the fit chart below, and if you’re not sure, send us the numbers and a photo of the toilet and we’ll check it with you.
Sizing & Fit
VOCIC’s fit chart is based on two measurements of the toilet bowl: the bowl length, from the seat bolt holes to the front edge of the bowl, and the gap between the tank and the seat bolt holes.
- Gap of 1″ to 1.7″: bowl length 16.7″ to 22″
- Gap of 1.7″ to 2.5″: bowl length 16″ to 21.2″
- Gap over 2.5″: bowl length 15.2″ to 20″
- Gap under 1″: VOCIC says the lift doesn’t fit
- Side clearance: VOCIC shows the base at about 25.6″ wide and asks for at least 5″ of clear floor on each side, about 35.6″ of clear width in total
- Power: you’ll need a wall outlet within reach of the cord. VOCIC doesn’t list the AX12’s cord length, so ask us
- User: up to 330 lbs
Call 585-505-6665 with your measurements before you order.
Care & Cleaning
VOCIC describes the frame as easy to clean. VOCIC doesn’t publish detailed cleaning steps, so here’s general advice: unplug it first, wipe the seat, armrests and frame with a damp cloth and mild soap, and dry it off. Skip harsh or abrasive cleaners, and keep water away from the motor and the plug. The IPX4 rating covers splashes, not soaking. Ask us for the user manual if you’d like VOCIC’s own instructions.
What’s Included
VOCIC lists the toilet seat lift, the instructions and an installation guide in the box. The Standard AX12 runs from a wired hand control. VOCIC’s list doesn’t name the control or the power cord separately, so ask us to confirm exactly what comes in the box.
VOCIC AX12 Warranty
VOCIC doesn’t print an end-user warranty for the AX12 on its dealer page. Ask us for the current VOCIC warranty terms before you buy.

Will it fit my toilet?
It fits most standard toilets, but measure first. Shipping & Returns
Shipping & Return Policy
At MedCare Mobility, we understand that purchasing medical and mobility equipment is an important decision. Our goal is to make the ordering, delivery, and return process as clear and straightforward as possible.
Because many of the products we offer are large, specialized, or shipped directly from manufacturer and distributor warehouses, shipping and return requirements may vary somewhat by product and brand. The policy below explains what you can generally expect when ordering from MedCare Mobility.
Shipping & Order Processing
We ship medical and mobility equipment to customers throughout the United States. Orders are processed as quickly as possible, and tracking information is provided once available.
Processing Time
Most in-stock orders are processed within approximately 1–3 business days. Processing may include order verification, warehouse preparation, packaging, and coordination with the manufacturer or distributor.
Some specialty equipment, made-to-order products, oversized items, or products shipping directly from a manufacturer may require additional processing time. Any estimated processing or lead time shown on an individual product page should be considered part of the expected fulfillment timeframe for that item.
Transit & Delivery Time
Once shipped, many standard orders arrive within approximately 3–7 business days. Larger medical equipment, freight shipments, specialty products, and certain manufacturer-direct orders may require additional transit time.
Tracking information will generally be emailed once the shipment has been processed by the carrier. If you have questions regarding the status of your order, please contact us at info@medcaremobility.com.
Alaska, Hawaii & Special Shipping Areas
Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and certain remote or limited-access areas may be subject to additional shipping charges. If an additional charge is required after your order is reviewed, we will contact you before proceeding whenever additional payment is necessary.
Freight & Oversized Equipment
Hospital beds, patient lifts, large recliners, ramps, and other oversized medical equipment may ship by freight rather than standard parcel service. Unless a specific delivery service is stated on the product page or order, freight delivery does not automatically include inside delivery, assembly, installation, or removal of packaging.
30-Day Return Policy
We want you to feel comfortable ordering from MedCare Mobility. Most eligible products may be returned when a return is requested within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions and exclusions outlined below.
Eligible products generally include:
- Electric and power wheelchairs
- Manual and lightweight wheelchairs
- Mobility scooters
- Walkers and rollators
- Patient lifts
- Wheelchair ramps
- Hospital and homecare beds
- Eligible medical mattresses
- Geriatric and medical recliner chairs
- Overbed tables
- Bathroom benches and shower chairs
- Other eligible medical and mobility equipment
Return eligibility can vary by manufacturer and product type. Products specifically identified as non-returnable, custom, made-to-order, or otherwise subject to special return terms are governed by those terms.
Return Authorization
Please contact us before shipping any product back. Returns must first be approved and issued a Return Authorization (RA) and the appropriate return shipping address.
You may request a return by emailing info@medcaremobility.com or contacting our customer service team through the live chat on our website.
Please do not return merchandise to an address shown on the original shipping label unless specifically instructed to do so. Many products ship directly from manufacturer or distributor warehouses, and the correct return location may be different from the original shipping location.
Condition of Returned Merchandise
To qualify for a return and refund, the product must be returned:
- In brand-new and unused condition
- In its complete original manufacturer packaging
- With all manuals, components, hardware, accessories, and included materials
- Without damage, modification, assembly wear, stains, odors, or other signs of use
- In resalable condition upon inspection by the receiving warehouse or manufacturer
We strongly recommend keeping the original box, pallet, protective materials, and packaging until you are certain that you intend to keep the equipment. Large medical equipment can be difficult or impossible to return safely without its original packaging.
Restocking Fees
Approved returns are subject to a mandatory restocking fee, generally ranging from 15% to 20% of the applicable product price. The exact restocking percentage varies depending on the manufacturer, brand, and type of equipment being returned.
These restocking charges are assessed to us by the manufacturer or distributing warehouse when merchandise is returned. MedCare Mobility does not add the fee simply as a return penalty; when the manufacturer requires the charge, we must pass the applicable amount through as part of processing the return.
If you would like to know the applicable restocking percentage for a particular product before ordering, please contact us and we will be happy to help whenever that information is available from the manufacturer.
Return Shipping & Shipping Charges
The customer is responsible for shipping charges associated with the order when making a standard return.
Customers are responsible for arranging for the approved merchandise to be returned to the return address provided with the Return Authorization. In certain cases, we may be able to provide a prepaid return label or coordinate return transportation for your convenience. When provided, the applicable shipping cost may be deducted from the final refund.
Because some medical equipment is oversized or requires freight transportation, prepaid labels or carrier call tags may not be available for every product. Our customer service team will provide the available return instructions when your return is authorized.
Non-Returnable Products
For health, hygiene, safety, customization, and manufacturer-policy reasons, certain products are not eligible for standard returns.
We currently do not accept returns on:
- Parts & accessories
- Wheelchair cushions and support accessories
- Patient lift slings
- Custom or made-to-order products
- Products specifically identified as non-returnable on the product page
If a non-returnable product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us promptly. Non-returnable status does not prevent us from assisting with a legitimate shipping damage, defect, warranty, or fulfillment issue in accordance with the applicable manufacturer and carrier procedures.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
We take shipping damage seriously and will work with you to help resolve legitimate delivery issues.
If your product arrives damaged, please notify MedCare Mobility within 48 hours of delivery. Whenever possible, retain the shipping carton, pallet, packaging materials, and the product exactly as received and take clear photographs of the packaging and any visible damage.
Reporting damage promptly is important because carriers and manufacturers have limited timeframes for filing freight and shipping claims.
If you receive an incorrect product or believe there is a manufacturer defect, please contact us before returning or disposing of any merchandise or packaging so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.
Refused Deliveries
Please contact us before refusing a delivery unless the shipment has obvious significant freight damage and the carrier is documenting the damage at delivery.
A shipment that is refused for reasons unrelated to verified shipping damage may be treated as a standard return. Applicable restocking and shipping charges may therefore be deducted from the refund.
Return Shipping Deadline
Once a return has been approved and return instructions or a return label have been issued, the merchandise must be shipped within 72 hours unless MedCare Mobility provides different instructions in writing.
This is particularly important when a return is approaching the end of the applicable return period. Returns shipped outside the authorized timeframe may be refused by the manufacturer or warehouse and may no longer qualify for a refund.
Refund Processing
Refunds are processed after the returned merchandise has been received and inspected by the applicable warehouse or manufacturer and the return has been confirmed to meet the return requirements.
The applicable restocking fee, shipping charges associated with the order, and any other authorized return-related charges will be deducted from the amount eligible for refund.
If returned merchandise is used, damaged, incomplete, missing original packaging or components, or otherwise returned in a condition that prevents the manufacturer or warehouse from accepting it as new and resalable merchandise, the return may be refused or the refund may be reduced in accordance with the manufacturer’s assessment.
Custom & Made-to-Order Products
Products identified as custom, configured, made-to-order, special-order, or manufactured specifically for the customer cannot generally be canceled once production or manufacturer processing has begun and are not eligible for standard returns.
For custom products, cancellation may only be possible during the initial processing period and before production or customization begins. Because production schedules vary by manufacturer, we encourage customers to contact us immediately if a change is required.
If a custom product arrives damaged or has a legitimate manufacturing defect, we will work with the manufacturer to pursue the appropriate resolution, replacement components, repair, or other available remedy under the applicable manufacturer policy or warranty.
Questions Before Ordering?
Medical equipment can vary considerably in size, configuration, compatibility, and intended use. If you are unsure whether a product will work for your needs, we strongly encourage you to contact us before placing your order.
Our team is happy to help review product specifications, dimensions, options, compatibility, and available manufacturer information so you can make a more informed purchasing decision and reduce the possibility of needing a return.
For shipping, return, or product questions, contact us at info@medcaremobility.com or speak with us through the live chat on our website.
